My first time in Gaucho city, amazing food and friendly staff.
Funny location, space a little bit dark for me.
There are better places to get steaks in London -
Prompt and friendly service. Great ambience and the food was absolutely delicious! Will definitely return!
Superb food, steaks were cooked perfectly. Staff were friendly.
Steak wasn’t a good as I thought it would be, and the price was pretty ridiculous. Nice place but don’t think I’ll be back
My work colleague ended up with a very poor 300g fillet.
It was tough and a very unusual cut of fillet.
The management removed this from the bill but
Looking back this was not good enough redress for such a bad experience- we will not be returning and not the type of quality we would expect from Gaucho
Particularly impressed by the professional, attentive and friendly service !
Excellent food and amazing service! Felipe the waiter was super friendly and nice
Did not have a number of wine bottles. Could not put a chicken breast inside a burger bun. Spaghetti tasted bad. Took 35 minutes to bring out a small salad starter. Just bad all around. Will not take work clients here anymore.
Good service and nice food not over the top.The desert options is limited.I will recommend it to a friend
We went to dinner on a friday evening and was fairly quiet when we arrived. We booked for the london festival menu, but they were not sure about this until I pulled up my booking, we did eventually get the menu. The food was good but not as outstanding as I had hoped, the steak was not the best cut and was difficult to cut through with a fair bit of fat. Desert was nice, but rather average. Service was amazing.
Food was mediocre, service was below average considering there are much better places to choose from in the city in terms of food and service and value
Decent food although overpriced in my opinion. Nice décor but no atmosphere whatsoever.
Good value but somewhat surprised we could not mix and match courses off the Set and A la Carte menu. It was the restaurant’s loss because we would have been happy to pain for mains which on their own had a higher value than the set menu we eventually opted for.
Enjoyed the food very much and the person at the front desk was lovely. However, my partner and I didn’t enjoy the cocktails at all.
Pricey but tasty food. Excellent service wth very attentive wait staff. Lovely ambience. Extensive wine list. Would recommend and visit again.
I had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, the cocktails were great, the staff were friendly helpful and professional. I would definitely recommend for a date night or a nighty with friends/adult families. 10/10 experience.
Very overpriced for what it is, much better cheaper options.
Shame the experience was under whelming, overcooked over priced
Excellent service and ambience as well as delicious food.
This place has gone downhill. Poor steak and service
Compared to my first experience of Gaucho this was not anywhere as a pleasant experience.
Too noisy, but not in a positive way. Table setting very basic.
Food itself was good but due to the overall experience I would say it was too expensive.
Very disappointed by this overpriced branded chain!
Service was very poor - no attention at all; no check back after starters, main or desserts; we needed to ask for an extra bottle of water, couldn't also catch waiting staff to get extra butter for my starter.
Lack of knowledge from the waiting staff - couldn't answer a basic question about wine that we have chosen and when checked with sommelier still couldn't reply form where this wine came from. The answer was - " from the east side of France", so we asked: "Which part?", the answer was - " the other one " (??? ) ...
Food was very basic and overpriced for what it was.
We had for starters beef carpaccio and seabass ceviche. Carpaccio was prepared in advance, which made the beef slices glued to the plate, and the ceviche was a piece of frozen fish with no flavours at all ( please learn from Ceviche Soho how to make it ).
For mains - fillet steak, side of mash potato, bearnaise sauce and lamb chops.
The fillet was cooked well but arrived almost cold, and mash potato tasted like it was made of flour from the bag and also was very dry on the top and nearly cold.
Bearnaise sauce didn't taste like homemade but bought in, very artificial flavours and super salty.
Lamb chops grilled ok but too fatty, and gem lettuce was not grilled but burned outside and super raw inside ( cut it in half and grill it, Chef ).
As a dessert, we had apple and pear tart - again the same as before; fruits very not fresh but from the can what after baking made this dessert very soggy and too sweet due caramelised juices.
Overall very disappointing experience and proof that chains charge for the branding and name but have no attention to the quality and consistency regarding customer service or the food menu.
There are many better steakhouses in London where you can enjoy every piece of the visit for this price.
Lovely anniversary meal, we had drinks at the bar before sitting at our table and the service was friendly and timely. We then sat down for our meal during their busiest period but this didn't affect the service standards. Our steak was cooked to perfection and our waiter was attentive and arranged a lovely anniversary plate which topped it off.
Lovely food, good setting but service was too slow.. Not enough staff clearly but those who were there were very helpful
Celebrated my sons 18th birthday. Food was amazing, very attentive service. Will definitely return.
Amazing service and food was outstanding! Luca made us feel very welcome, will definitely be back.
The meat was great. We tried the rump & ribeye. Defo a very good place to eat meat. However the sides are not worth it at all!! Chips were dry, mash had no taste and the greens were over cooked. The Mayo that was bought to the table was clotted due to being close to heat. If you just want to have good meat and don’t mind the sides.
Food was ok, service was good. Ambiance we did not like, too dark & moody. Perhaps a different venue would be better.
Saved by excellent service and good ambience. Ugh my plate was covered in blood in the end. I couldn't finish the generous portion of steak.
Can't find the right words to convey my disappointment. Then again, I don't want to put people off so will leave it there. Its a never to return for me. Food quality just simply did not meet the the strange perfection threshold.
Good deal with Time Out and service was excellent.
Very good location and food but ambience not as good as some other Goucho’s. Wine is just too overpriced for the quality. Would still recommend though as the steaks are excellent. Sides a bit small.
Our party ordered a steak each. Three steaks were not done as requested. When steak is what you do you must do it right. I wouldn’t be booking to come back any time soon.
Nice food overall but did expect more from what I ve heard about this place.
Nice but there are better steakhouse round about in London
The food was amazing service excellent and we had a really great night
Best waiter at our table with really quick service. Amazing food, very reasonably priced. Best steak ever.
5 of us met for dinner here, the waiters were very attentive and the service was great from when we walked in until we left. really recommend using this venue
Food all came out at different times. My steak was over cooked, then undercooked. The runner didn’t know which steak was what. One meal missed altogether. The waiter was lovely and gave us a round of cocktails for the inconvenience. But then when we suggested we didn’t want to pay the full service charge, they all turned sour. Considering our experience I was disappointed.
