Outstanding service from the start, Warm welcome on arrival with waiter service. Always looked after and made sure everything is ok. Food is absolutely stunning and a must try for any meat lover. Highly recommend for every occasion. Will deffinstely be returning.
This is our first visit for my birthday and we were not disappointed. The steak was delicious and cooked to perfection, the wine was amazing and the staff were the fantastic.. knowledgeable, friendly they couldn’t have been better. The table received a free dessert wine to help us celebrate my birthday. Price wise I would say it’s the top end of mid range but can be expensive depending on what you order. We will definitely be back and we won’t be waiting until my next birthday!
We had the sharer board which had four different steaks and all were exceptional. Our waiter spent the time to explain the steaks available to us, answered our questions and helped us make a choice. Unfortunately they became less attentive once they checked on us once. We were 30 minutes late due to mass train cancellations in Leeds and parking difficulties. We had informed them of this and still had to wait 25 minutes to be seated. Had cocktails while waiting which were very nice. We found the atmosphere to be a bit busy. Lots of people rushing around and it was verging on being too noisy. If you like steak it's worth a visit, otherwise you will find better dining experiences.
Great food, service and ambience. I would recommend this restaurant.
Incredible place , would recommend to anyone, amazing food and service
Went here as a surprise for my boyfriends birthday, neither of us have been here before but it was recommended by a friend and it didn’t disappoint! The service we received from all the staff was outstanding. Would definitely go here again.
Booked in to celebrate my partner's birthday. Just the two of us. Asked on arrival if we were there for a celebration and confirmed it was for a birthday. Invited to have a drink before going to our table. The front of house lady was lovely.
Was surprised how buzzing the restaurant was for a Tuesday evening at 8pm but all the better for it. A good mix of diners from couples to student groups.
We had starters of sweet breads and scallops; both delicious. The complimentary breads with chimichurri, we could have eaten and eaten again and again.
Our Gaucho Sampler main to share, four cuts of steak was amazing. The ribeye particularly so. We had all the sauces in little pixie pans, chips and a side of mac and cheese. A gluttonous treat.
Nice wines by the glass and a lovely complimentary surprise of a birthday treat of chocolate and butterscotch ice cream scoops with hand piping of 'Happy Birthday' on the plate, rounded off a perfect meal.
Service and advice at all times was spot on.
So good. Thanks everyone.
Very long waiting times even with reservation.
Kale salad didn’t have any kale.
Booked table at 9pm, eventually got served at 10.30pm. Was then rushed to choose other courses. Not sure this is normal, but manager apologised with bottle of wine. Steak very good, but shame we were too starving to fully enjoy.
The steaks were fabulous - and great wine white & red wine with a healthy range of prices
Excellent service, couldn’t fault it!
Went for a birthday celebration and Gauchos didn’t dissapoint!
Best Steak I have ever had.
Griddled to perfection for a Medium Rare man.
You remember the food above the price, and that saying something.
Fantastic attentive service.
Fabulous meal again from the guys at Goucho's. Really attentive service, very helpful as we had two in our party with allergen's. Only downside was that we were seat in a corner out of the way rather than where most other customers were sat near the kitchen so didn't get much of the ambiance.
Gaucho was a fabulous dining experience!
The best fillet steak I’ve ever had
The staff were so courteous and helpful
Waited 45 minutes for table to be ready so though booked mid-evening meal turned into a late evening one. I'd asked for a quiet table and was put on one in the walkway. Food was average and not worth the large bill to be honest. Better meat and food at Blackhouse. Waiters tried their best but overall was disappointed for the price paid.
I have been visiting gaucho restaurants for many years but I think now there are more worthy places to spend our hard earned cash and relaxation time. We booked our table in August but sadly the visit did not go smoothly. It took them over an hour past our booking time to seat us despite regularly being told our table was being ‘set’. The waitress eventually confessed they had given our table to another party. Our friends had an evening train to catch so this had a knock on effect. The service was then rushed and slap dash and the steaks not as enjoyable as previous visits. They did compensate us with a glass of red wine each for the wait but sadly it would have been more useful as drain cleaner.
Really disappointing way to spend a 40th birthday celebration.
Best place ive eaten in a long time 10/10 for me !! I defiantly will be returning top service top place top food Rob a top bloke too sorted us out all night thanks Rob
tHE ADJACENT TABLE WAS OCCUPIED BY THE MOST LOUD PEOPLE IMAGINABLE. HORRENDOUS IN FACT.......LOUD, SWEARING AND ONE WOMANS LAUGH WAS AKIN TO A WITCH......SHE DID NOT SHUT UP FROM START TO FINISH.......WE SKIPPED DESSERT JUST TO ESCAPE SO TO SPEAK
We went to celebrate my birthday and from the moment we arrived we were looked after. The food was outstanding and our waitress was lovely and very helpful. Would recommend this restaurant highly.
Always great food, fantastic service, so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. This is our 'go to' restaurant whenever we are celebrating
This was my first visit to Gaucho and it certainly won’t be the last. The staff were incredible, in particular our server Emily. Nothing was too much trouble. The food surpassed love you expectations.
Only issue was quality of arrival experience. Nothing major. Just shown to bar area for pre-drink then nobody came back after menu handed out for drinks order. Then shown to table after 20 minutes. So waste of 20 minutes and had arrived early for the pre-drinks. Everything else: Excellent.
prices are high but everthing was 1st class so I guess that's what you pay for
We have been meaning to go here for 3 years. Gaucho is pricey no doubt but the foot is just excellent the staff welcoming and the wine good. Everything we ate was amazing and the staff so attentive. I made sure to leave a decent tip for the staff as the service was impeccable when we went.
I would go again.
We love Gaucho and it’s always good, the steak is obviously the real feature of this place and it’s delicious and cooked perfectly, a real treat! This last time the evening was particularly enhanced by our waiter Rob who was friendly, attentive and funny, we actually had a good giggle with him so thanks Rob and Gaucho. Don’t hestitate to send us deals and offers to tempt us back soon 😉
I took 5 of my customers for a top quality meal after a business meeting, the service was terrible, constantly having to look around to find a waiter to take orders for food or drinks. Sharing starters were poor & steaks not up to the usual standard I have experienced in Gaucho on numerous previous occasions
As always a brilliant place, fantastic service and 10/10 food and drinks!
This place never fails and is my place of choice every time for superior quality Argentinian steak! Try the Mac n cheese guys!
First and last visit to Gaucho Leeds. My partner and I ordered the chateubraind as we always do when we visit gaucho in Manchester and Piccadilly, London. We requested that it is cooked to our individual liking, medium rare and the other half medium. Normally the chef would cook the piece of meat and slice it which is presented on a platter. On this occasion the chef decided to cook two separate fillet steaks. When the waitress presented this to us I asked what was this as we had ordered the chateaubriand, I cut into the meat and it was medium - well done. I asked the waitress to please take it away as this was not what we order. She told me not to be rude and took both plates away. A few moments later, a ginger hair chap came over and asked if he could have a word outside, which I found odd, my partner and I looked at each other as if to say what on earth is going on, it’s not Mcdonalds! Respectfully I left the table and walked to the entrance, he then said I had made two members of his staff cry and asked for us to leave and repeatly said to me a number of times ‘ I look forward to the review’ where on earth had this come from and how two members of staff?!, we only spoke to one lady.
I feel this was personal, no idea what my partner and I did except to say this food is not what we ordered. On leaving we spoke to the female manager who was completely out of her depth and was struggling to run a busy Restraunt. previously my partner high lighted to her that only 1 of the 3 ladies toilets were working hence why there was a queue out of the door whereby she just shrugged her shoulders at her. Great customer service!
Clearly these people are not experienced in managing and working in a busy Restraunt with working class clientele.
Never have we been treated in such a disgusting way.
Clearly, Leeds Gaucho management team are in need of some basic training in manners, service and resilience!
So to the chap with ginger hair .... ‘ here is your review mate!’
Food was brilliant as were the drinks and bar area. Staff are really lovely, however we were booked in for 8:30, were seated at 9:15 (we were given a free round of drinks to compensate which was nice) however after all the waiting for table and food we left at around 11:15 so nearly 3hrs for the meal etc! Would recommend and hopefully Long waiting times were only a one off. Steak Is amazing!
This was our first visit to Gaucho Leeds and I have to say that we will definitely be returning. Not only was the setting beautiful, the ambience mesmerising and the food delicious, but the staff were friendly and knowledgeable too.
Very disappointed, steaks were served on cold plates and tasted thin and watery (how do you even do that, did you boil them!). Fairly average taste, for a restaurant that specialises in steak totally underwhelmed. Not given any steak knives, and an overpriced wine list. Miller and carter is 10x better for 1/2 the price and just 1 minute away!
As ever Gaucho lives up to it's reputation as one of the finest steakhouses around! Great wine list to accompany wonderful food. The prices are a little more expensive than most, but you certainly get what you pay for :-)
Will be recommending, and revisiting...
Steak was amazing!!
Amazing steak but certainly on the expensive side.
The rest of the experience was only ok, nothing spectacular, so didn't feel like good value for money.
Friendly staff and excellent service. The food was tasty and well priced. Would recommend to any steak lovers for a nice evening out.
When visiting Gauchos I was amazed by the decor. I had never been before, but had heard great reviews from my friends and family. The food was insane (had the rump medium-rare) and it was brilliant! The portions weren't stingy and there was definitely more than enough food. Expensive, so will only be returning on occasions but would definitely recommend.
Exceptional food and fantastic knowledgable staff. Would definitely return
By far, the best steak I’ve had in my life. And I love steak and had steak at quite amazing places. Had the chateaubriand medium rare. It was unbelievable. We were also celebrating my husband’s promotion and they were so thoughtful to bring us complementary dessert with congratulations written on it. Thank you so much.
Steak is second to none. Service was amazing they just keep me coming back!
