Food was absolutely unreal and the service just as good. Kane our waiter/host was so accommodating and had plenty of knowledge on food choices and drink recommendations
Great food although overcharged on the bill for a couple of items.
Outstanding service from all of the staff but particularly from Humberto, highly recommended place, delicious food. Only bad thing was that The music was a bit loud and club like.
I'm an enthusiast for the Gaucho brand; I think they generally do offer a taste of Argentina, a view I base on a fair few trips to that great country and visits to many good restaurants there. Steaks are usually well above the generally rather ordinary level found in the UK. The wine list is better than good and currently contains a number of top rate examples of Malbec (of course) and also the underrated Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay which Argentina does so well. The Manchester branch as so far impressed me with the location, room (so much better for an aged gaucho than the London equivalents) and friendliness. Sadly, this last visit was less memorable food wise. The Ancho was poorly trimmed and the server didn't seem willing to pick up this criticism; the cooking could also have been better. Chips were very poor. So by all means go to see this attractive venue, because they can and do get it right here, but I can't guarantee they always will. Great, great wines though!
Excellent in every way
Lovely evening meal for my birthday and first meal out since August 2020 due to Covid. Staff were very friendly, attentitive and helpful. Steaks were delicious, really well seasoned and cooked perfectly.
We ordered one 2-course and one 3-course lunch menu. Very tasty
Great decor & lighting feels vibrant and classy, food was immense and the service was unreal too. Steak was amazing
Amazing service. Honestly.
Everything was perfect beside two things the fries wasn’t great at all and a very pore salad with any nice taste .
Amazing food! Steaks are to die for and the service is quick and friendly.
Very good food and excellent service, the only downside was that two of us wanted chicken but there was only one left. It didn’t spoil the evening though
Fabulous service and on the whole the food was amazing. The sides were a little small for the price but were good aside from the spinach which just overpowered with lemon, but the staff apologised for this and removed from the bill with no expectation of them doing so. Overall a fantastic meal and evening, thankyou we can't wait to return ❤
Gorgeous food and lovely staff. Came to celebrate our anniversary and was not disappointed.
Very poor service, waited far too long for drinks on every order, had to ask twice
Cutlery practically thrown on the table
One meal was cold
One desert was over cooked
Overall very disappointing
We had a great first time at Gaucho, everything was outstanding. The food itself was well seasoned and the steaks were perfectly cooked. Our server Nora was very attentive and took the time to explain the menu well (thank you Nora for being so lovely!). There was entertainment for a little while - a singer and guitarist, which we really enjoyed. We will definitely be back soon!
Amazing ! Been a few times but last night was truly the best
The Food was amazing ! And our server was so helpful and lovely.
Our first and last time at gaucho. The steak it’s self was good but you would be expecting that for the price, however everything else such as side dishes were below par.
Lovely steak- little pricey but worth it as a treat
Nice restaurant, service was excellent, food delicious, but for the main course I've asked for my meat to be well done, unfortunately the meat came completely burn. Didn't really enjoy that, but starters and dessert were really nice.
The atmosphere was cool too.
Amazing food, great service!
Perfect table and they made a fuss of our anniversary! My favourite place in Manchester!
Food quality excellent - steaks cooked to perfection. Wine waiter very helpful and chose a delightful Malbec to compliment. Can’t fault service and ambiance- fine old building
It was our first visit celebrating our daughters 21st birthday.
Lovely venue with fantastic staff
Food exceptional. Definitely worth the 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hannah was amazing! We chose Gaucho for the ambiance and that was amazing, then the food, drink and service surpassed our expectations. The hostesses were wonderful and accommodating to us (my sister is pregnant). The section manager introduced himself and everything was seamless. Gaucho came highly recommended and it did not disappoint.
Fun sassy exciting kind of restaurant
Food amazing x
Overall I really like Gauchos, this was our fourth time.
It was quite busy so assuming that’s why these problem occurred:
- wrong steak to wrong person meaning my partner ate my ‘rare’ steak rather than his medium steak
- the steak I ordered came as blue when it was supposed to be rare. I don’t mind it blue but that could have caused someone stress that wouldn’t of liked it blue
- I ordered vanilla icecream and got salted caramel
- my partner found a small bit of melted plastic in his food. The restaurant did apologise and advise of the mistake and how it happened
I will be going again but I will ring to advise of the previous problems to try and ensure it doesn’t happen again because overall we really do like Gauchos based on our previous experience.
Great place. Love their food and service. Highly recommended.
The service was impeccable and all the staff went out of their way to make us happy and ensure we were looked after. The food was the best part, would definitely return.
Excellent service. Especially Phil the manager. Very happy with our experience
Amazing night for a special occasion. Will definitely visit again
Unusually for Gaucho food was not good. Medium size fillet and half lobster. Lobster was undercooked.
All in all very poor quality and then 12.5% service charge??
Outstanding! (As always). Best steakhouse chain by a country mile! Been hitting Gauchos now for at least 20 years having first attended your former branch off Dam Square in Amsterdam circa 2002! [Now called "Cau" I believe?]). Made up when they opened the Manchester branch!
Everything was really nice. Food and service was good wood recommend
What a place and what an experience. I loved absolutely everything about the restaurant and have to give a special mention for the incredible staff. Michal really looked after us and chose an incredible bottle of red to go with our meal. Cindy was outstanding and helped me when I had an issue. Bravo Goucho, I’ll certainly be returning 😌
We were slightly early for our booking and were invited to sit in the bar or be taken straight to our table. We chose to sit in the bar before sitting down to eat. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. On the way to our table, we were asked about our day and asked the reason for our visit. I explained it was my birthday and this was instantly passed onto our server who wished me a happy birthday when we were seated. All staff were extremely attentive and lovely. The food was OUTSTANDING! We both ordered desserts and mine came with a little candle which was such a lovely touch! Everything about this meal was perfect and I would highly recommend.
Once again guided by the knowledgeable staff, particularly Peter, on our choices. As my hubby and I chose different steaks Peter recommended a wine that would be perfect for both. He was spot on. We will be back. Thanks for a lovely experience, it was our first post Covid outing and it felt like old times.
Nice place friendly staff just the food was not flavoursome
Lovely food and cooked to perfection, the staff are lovely and very helpful! The setting itself is awesome with a small dark entrance that opens up in a magnificent room! It is pricey but worth it as a treat to yourself!
Lovely food lovely atmosphere, great to be inside a restaurant again!
