Fantastic steak and the best service. Thank you for making my daughters birthday lovely.
Not a great night. They now have a DJ and it’s like being in a nightclub. Food was ok but for the price we expected better and have been before when it was better. Service was not particularly attentive given the number of staff and the fact the restaurant wasn’t that busy.
A dining experience, rather than a meal out. Terrific steak, as steak should be. Between the four of uswe enjoyed fillet, rump, ribeye and a churrasco de lomo. everything was cooked to perfection and served hot. Thank you Goucho, we will certainly be back.
A brilliant treat for a special occasion and a good choice of food and drinks to suit all budgets.
Wonderful service and food, awesome. Our server couldn’t have been more helpful bringing samples of wine to help us decide. Impressed.
Fantástico! La comida buenísima, carne exquisita y servicio maravilloso! Para ir todos los días!
Had an absolute wonderful time, will be going back more often.
First time at Gaucho’s - would definitely return and enjoy another chance to eat well! Wonderful service too!
Lovely evening - been to Gauchos in London many times but never first time in Manchester. The building is lovely. Great cocktails and amazing service from Paolo. Thanks x
We had an great time at Gauchos. The food and service were excellent and our server Francesca outstanding. We particularly enjoyed the wine recommended by sommelier Christian who took special care of us. We will definitely return.
Went for my husbands birthday, loved it! The food was really nice, I’m not a steak eater so it was purely for my husbands benefit but he thoroughly enjoyed a good steak being cooked perfectly. As for the non steak options my chicken was lovely and I couldn’t have asked for more than that! They even brought out a little mousse for my husband for his birthday after the meal with “happy birthday” written on the plate in chocolate, I though this was a very nice touch.
Wouldn’t be somewhere I would go for me but that’s as I’m not a steak eater as I said previously but I would definitely go again for my husband and would recommend to others.
We arrived with a reservation and no one was there to receive us, we had to get in, poke a bartender and request to be sat. Ambiance is horrendous to terrible for what it should be: seats very uncomfortable I was feeling the strings of the chair!
Prices are expensive which I wouldn't mind paying for the right place, definitely NOT at Gaucho.
For what it is advertised and one hears... it lacks of everything and is of average quality. Maybe it could be pulled up a lot more to meet standards ;)
Our waiter was fantastic. He made our night. Thank you to him.
Never been before but this will definitely be on my top 5 Manchester restaurants now. Excellent atmosphere and speedy service.
As always, we had another great evening celebrating a birthday in gauchos. It’s our favourite restaurant and always will be!
First experience of gaucho Manchester and we were blown away. The place is so elegant service was lovely and the food was to die for. Will definitely be returning..
The service was amazing as always. Unfortunately, this time the fries were not as crispy as usually and the chimichurry sauce has changed to a pesto kind of sauce.
Still an amazing night out!
We visited the Gaucho Manchester on Saturday 3rd August to celebrate my sons 16th Birthday . I had booked the table on the 18th June and in the special requests explained it was a special birthday, first visit for my son and could we have a nice table.
The lady at check in was a little but flustered but the hostess seemed to know it was my sons birthday and took us to our table...... our table allocation was really disappointing, not only was it only set for 3 people and we were a party of , it was right by where the servers punch in orders and the last chair was hanging over into the kitchen.
We asked our server if we could be moved - and after speaking with the floor manager we were allocated another table - a really small table for 4 people :( Francesca was our server she was great and really looked after us for our whole stay.
What was disappointing around us in the Booths small parties of 3 people !
It seems that like a lot of restaurants the whole dining experience is the last thought and its how many covers you can set up. We worked and saved hard for this experience.
We would definitely recommend Gaucho, the food is superb, excellent service, very efficient and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening there and will definitely go back. A great restaurant with a city centre location.
We had been meaning to try Gaucho's for a while and during the Restaurant week there was an offer on for a day when we were visiting so we took the plunge and booked. As it was an offer meal it was very good value for a three course meal but we ended up spending more as we bought a couple of bottles of wine as well. The only side dish you get included seemed to be chips / fries so we had to order a couple of vegetable side orders as well and the sauce is also an extra charge. We didnt mind this too much as the restaurant is lovely and the staff were exceptional, they are knowledgeable about the food and the wines which is a good sign. Overall this place was an amazing dinner and we will now be back on a more regular basis as the food, service & staff are all a credit to the place.
We were shown to our table after a wait, to be given a menu and then left for 20 minutes. After we managed to flag down a waiter our order was taken. Our starters arrived promptly and were very nice. We then received our steaks, with no steak knives. When we asked, we were told by two members of staff that they do not give steak knives as standard as we should not need them. Felt talked down to and made to feel embarrassed about asking in the first place. We asked for a drink and when we realised the wrong drink has been given the staff member had gone and we couldn’t get anyones attention to get the problem rectified. We asked to speak to the manager about our experience who removed the incorrect drink from our bill and the service charge but overall we felt uncomfortable raising any issues with our meal and ended up declining the dessert
The staff were really friendly and attended our table to see if we wanted anything and ask how the food was. The food was delicious, the steak was incredible. My only criticism was i struggled to cut my steak (sirloin medium), I was surprised not to get a steak knife.
My husbands steak had a big piece of fat in it, and the meal is very plain, as you pay extra for any extras. So when you order Steak and chips that’s exactly what you get. The empanadas (small beef pasties) were nice as starters, but small and 1 portion means just 1, and the bottle of wine was overpriced and undrinkable, for £36.
Total cost £129
Great food and service, made us feel very comfortable.
Better than Ribeye on Frist street but not as good as Hawksmoor. Appears to have lost its way and not as good as it used to be.
First time visit to Gaucho, recommended by a friend, did not let us down. Waitress that served us was very friendly and discussed in detail the menu and our options when choosing our steaks. She brought out a board with the different types of steaks and explained what each steak was. Meal was amazing, especially the steaks, cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend going for a visit.
Me and my husband visited here for our anniversary and the food was amazing the Tuna starter was very tasty as was our main courses and will return again soon
Lovely place, nice atmosphere and good service. My husband is coeliac and they seemed clued up and provided gluten free bread and the set menu had choices available on it. It would’ve been quite pricey if we hadn’t opted for the set menu and we struggled to find a bottle of wine in our price range but all in all it was a good experience.
Took hubby for his birthday - our son suggested Gaucho & it was a great choice. Our steaks were great & hubby loved the Old Fashioned cocktails. Had mentioned, when asked if it was a special occasion, that it was hubby's birthday & they decorated his dessert plate, which was a lovely touch. Had a lovely evening - by no means a cheap meal but a lovely treat & would definitely go again.
Went for my boyfriends birthday and we both had a wonderful time. Food was outstanding as well as the service, one of the best steaks we’ve had. We both was well looked after with a surprise birthday dessert at the end.
Waitress Adele was very helpful with checking on my wife’s gluten intolerance with the kitchen. Table service for the pre-dinner cocktails was nice.
A larger party than usual this time. Pleasantly surprised to find we were seated in one of the more private annexe rooms that doubles up as the wine cellar. Really added to the ambiance of the occasion as we were celebrating graduation of our daughter and friend. Made our special occasion that little bit more memorable. Good, wine and service were fantastic as always when we visit Gaucho in Manchester.
The Gaucho never disappoints! We visited on a Saturday, starting with drinks in the bar before going to our table. We skipped the starters knowing from previous experience how big the mains can be. I ordered the simple fillet and my friend the spiral cut Ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly as always. We both ordered a vegetable and a potato side dish and everything was as ordered and expected. Dessert options were a little limited but we both enjoyed what we ordered and also had dessert cocktails to accompany. I particularly recommend the Butterscotch Bon bon. We finished off with a nightcap back in the bar, where the lights had been turned lower and the music up. All in all a great Saturday night - thanks v much!
Me and my wife had a lovely meal for our 5th wedding anniversary at gaucho Manchester service was amazing and the food was sublime will definitely be returning again
Fantastic restaurant, great customer service, they were very attentive to our needs as we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. Best night we ever had in a Manchester restaurant!

The restaurant is very well decorated. The attention from the service was exceptional, from minute 1. And the food.. ooh, the food! No words to describe it! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Nice staff but not really value for money , food is nice but nothing special wine grossly over priced the place was empty on a Friday afternoon so says it all was looking forward to it but left disappointed
Over priced and poor quality food, singer was good but too loud, couldn’t have a conversation
