I want to say a massive thank you to all the staff and chefs at Gauchos Piccadilly, I dined there last night with my girlfriend and last weekend with my friends, both times the experience has been phenomenal. Both the food and service were amazing.
I want to say a special thank you to our waiter and host Bruno. His service was flawless from start to finish. His clear knowledge and passion for the Menu and Drinks really helped make our experience what it was, making excellent suggestions that we all really enjoyed. I can not ever remember feeling almost at home and relaxed in a such a beautiful restaurant ever before, and that was all thanks to Bruno. He was attentive, entertaining and charismatic and is a fantastic asset and credit to Gaucho. His ability really is the pinnacle of hosting and is quite frankly the best I have experienced.
I cannot wait to be back! See you all soon.
Excellent service from all staff. Lovely experience!
Loved it! Beautiful food, fantastic staff. We’ll be back!!
It was great for my 18th birthday but I wasn’t able to take my wine bottle back to my hotel, because there was ‘no license’ for it. Yet I purchased the whole bottle, ridiculous.
Excellent food and service. Great for special occasions.
l have been to this restaurant for countless times, the food was amazing , the waiter very friendly but.... all those regulations adopted to "prevent" contagion were really disrupting , l think eating out must be an "experience" and there l felt like l was in a hospital.
thanks anyway for a lovely steak ! l am coming back only when the place come back to "normal".
Waitress was excellent and made sure all our glasses were filled and took away plates soon after finishing.
On booking the offer for set menu mentioned the glass of champagne but on arrival I was told that they have a different offer than on the website and that champagne is not included. So it's misleading.
Good service otherwise if not a bit slow and had to wait 15 mins for drinks.
Lovely service and atmosphere, the food was nice too but no where near worth the price.
Hate being told how much to tip, spent 270 pound and ruined my whole meal, I would tip anyways just winds me spending money then being told how much more to spend
Was an amazing experience, really great service...
An enthusiastic welcome back by the staff, attentive and very good service together with a superb Chateaubriand together with a carafe of the house Malbec
We had a fantastic time at Gaucho. Staff were friendly and very safe, following the new government guidelines. It was our very first meal out since the start of lockdown and wouldn’t have had it anywhere else! Fantastic service.
Haven’t been to Gaucho in a while so after lockdown thought we would treat ourselves. I have yellowfin tuna to start and it was poor value for money. Just a small piece on a plate. Steak for main which was fine and when we got to dessert one of the waiter was not sympathetic to the fact I had a nut allergy. He said he would check with the kitchen but never came back. Would not recommend I’ve been to better restaurants and for £80 a head with no alcohol it wasn’t cheap either!!
Good place to re-start dining experiences.
The waiters were excellent.
Amazing steak as always, Malbec was on par, restaurant was a little quiet but that's to be expected I suppose coming out of lockdown.
As it was first day open, I felt the staff handled the restaurant very well.
Was a good first night out post lockdown. Food and service were excellent and I think they also managed seating etc quite well to comply with covid secure measures.
Gaucho on re opening day was brilliant - flawless service, brilliant food and very safe with disposable menus, sanitized bottles that came on the table!
Last meal out before quarantine. Everything was perfect 10/10
Gaucho is one of my favourite restaurants worldwide. It’s great!
Steak was amazing but reduced the score due to the entire experience. Starters and desserts are very limited. They have an fantastic wine selection but the markup of over 400% is extreme. We had one lower end bottle of wine and one aparetif each one starter and no desserts. For two people This came to £200 which whilst lovely was not worth this amount.
The waitress did not speak English and got the order wrong bad day when she doesn’t understand bottle of house white wine or a pint of draft Guinness much better service on previous ocassions
I had my birthday meal here the other day, the people on the welcome desk weren’t exactly the most welcoming, I asked the lady behind the bar for the cocktail menu she said it’s the green one however it was so dark in there I couldn’t actually make out if it was green or black so she was smarmy in replying that’s the green one. Ordered our drinks I don’t think she smiled once! We went to our table and our waiter was really helpful and nice the food we had was faultless, however when it came to dessert and I didn’t actually want one my husband ordered his, it came out with happy birthday written and given to me and the waiter said from us to you, I thought very nice as places like these do tend to do little treats when celebrating however it was strange as I new it was the same dessert my husband had ordered so we waited a little bit thinking maybe they’ll bring another I said to him you eat it either way as I new he could manage 2 if another was to show however it didn’t. I just find it odd they used my husbands dessert to wish me a happy birthday usually they just have small little bite pieces with a message provided for individuals not having an actual pudding! It was also on the bill so nothing about this dessert was for me from them as 1. It was my husbands and 2. We paid for it. Can’t fault the food as I said but this did let it down as we sat there confused wondering whether it was mine or his!?
Had a birthday dinner with some friends, and we had a great time. The food was excellent, the wine outstanding and all in all this was a very pleasant experience. Thank you so much!
A lovely ambience with great food and good service. my daughter thoughly enjoyed her birthday treat. Mike
The chateaubriand (to share) is always an amazing treat!
It really was a lovely treat for our friend’s birthday. Attentive staff with great knowledge of the various cuts of steak. Food was delicious, we’ll definitely be back.
First we were send upstairs by a very rude lady at the front desk. On the second floor another lady told us that our table is not ready jet and we had to wait standing in the middle of the room. The first table we had was way to noisy. The manager took over and send us downstairs again to a more quiet table. The rest of the stay was good
Everything, except the hostess, was very good. Can you please teach them how to speak in English and the fact they have fillers in their lips doesn’t make them queens. I eat in this restaurant because of the service, London is massive, the food is good in many other places ((; shoutout to the cute waitress with the long black curly hair!!!
I was a Very friendly environment. The stuff gave us a warm welcome and couldn’t help us out enough the little things are the best like the bread to the table as round nice experience
The atmosphere in there is really coo, and the food was lovely!
The staff were also very attentive
Lovely food and attentive staff very buzzy atmosphere. The only criticism is the very dark decor which detracted from the overall experience.
Oh dear. This used to be my favourite steak house chain And had not been for a number of years. On arrival we were 20 mins early and the desk attendance looked as though we were stupid. I had to ask if we could sit in the bar at which point they looked at each other as though they couldn’t decide before pointing upwards. We had drink last and were eventually seated on the upstairs level. Because the music was so loud we had to ask if it could be turned down as we could not hear ourselves speak. While we waited a couple were seated either side of us. Time went by and no food was forthcoming. After about 30 mins both the couples around us had received their food. Eventually a waiter came passed and said the food would not be long. Then it arrived and we were shocked to find everything cold. I immediately called a waiter who took the food away and we waited about another 20 minutes we eventually got our food but we’d already decided that The Gaucho has definitely gone down hill. In the restaurant’s defence I can say they made a sizeable refund on the bill, but this was my wife’s birthday meal and it just soured the evening. I can’t say if the other Gauchos are the same, i used to enjoy regular meals at Canary Wharf and London Bridge which were excellent and I hope it’s just this outlet. I’d recommend trying the others first. Probably won’t be back now, there our other places and at these prices the quality needs to be better.
Always a favourite due to consistent high standards.
My party and I was seated right by the door (even though the restaurant wasn't busy) and this didn't make for a great dining experience.
Amazing food, great atmosphere and friendly service
The good East vere very poor quality I have eaten many times before this time meat quality was terrible l might not eaten in Gaucho again
Not up to previous experience. Food okay. Service fine.
