Piccadilly is our flagship restaurant, set in a beautiful townhouse just off Regent Street, encompassing the ultimate Gaucho experience in the West End. Impeccable Argentinian steaks, flavours of Latin America and a perfectly curated drinks list are all enjoyed in uncompromised elegance in the former home of a Spanish Ambassador.
This impressive restaurant boasts a variety of unique spaces that soar over three stories. At ground level, you have our warm and welcoming dining room with adjoining weather-proof terrace. As you ascend the original sweeping staircase, you’ll find another dining space with a spectacular open kitchen, where we host our legendary Electro brunch, as well as a myriad of gorgeous private rooms – one inspired by our former Spanish resident.

Disappointed compared to previous visits. Had to wait quite a while for our prebooked table despite there being many tables available. Service slow and not particularly friendly. Steak tough and we weren’t asked how the food was/if we were enjoying/had enjoyed our meal. We stated it was for a birthday and the usual desert and candle didn’t appear. Left feeling disappointed and wallet considerably lighter.
On arrival we chose to go straight to our table and not the bar first. We were told our waiter would be with us very soon. Initially we were very disappointed as nobody came to our table to ask if we wanted a drink. 10 minutes later I went over to ask two waiters if somebody could please get us a drink as we had been waiting. From then on our service was absolutely excellent so I have still rated outstanding having forgiven the initial hiccup.
Friendly, happy to give advice, knowledgable and efficient service. Our waiter was superb.
Great experience. We will return
It was our children’s first Gaucho experience before we went to a Show. We all loved it and they want to return soon
I booked 3 set menu with a complementary glass of brut and they didn't give it to me. So what the point put the offer on open table?!
Plus the waiter charge me 2 set menu instead 3.. If it was like this I will had orderd some dessert from a la carte.. Staff very rude and no professional.
Truly excellent food and attentive yet unobtrusive service. A little noisy for us but not mentioned by the younger members in our party. Went for a set of birthdays in one part of our family; the other half have now ‘suggested’ a further visit of which they can be a part.
Great food and fair price. The service was professional and efficient
Was ok probably a bit hyped and was not good value for money
However if you are a meat eater then you might love it
We both had the set menu 3 courses, there could be more choice with the starters and deserts.
Mains were 10/10
Great service, efficient and very friendly. Really enjoyed it.
Unfortunately Gaucho didn’t live up to the hype. This was my first time and probably my last. I can not fault the staff, they were excellent, however the food was too salty. We have both the sirloin and the ribeye both were salty along with chips which were too salty and a small salad that consisted of lettuce leaves sweet white onion and the smallest bit of avocado. Not worth the money. The £29 Malbec was the best thing about the place. Sorry but it’s a No from me and my date. Gaucho needs to up its game.
I love gaucho as a chain and would recommend a different branch however the Piccadilly one felt very much like it was just churning customers through, we felt rushed and the tables were squeezed together with a feeling of little exclusivity. For a decent price and brilliant food however the setting cannot live up to that of the Edinburgh branch which we found outstanding. The service was mediocre and felt like a budget restaurant, very disappointed by the experience as it was clear Staff were expected to cover more than they could handle and everything was rushed.
Unfortunately this did not live up to my expectations. I’ve visited gaucho in Birmingham and the experience was so much better. My steak was not cooked correctly, which is shocking really considering that it’s a steak restaurant.
I did send it back and 5-9 minutes later I had a half a steak back. Shame that by this time my partner had finished. The manager was sympathetic to the situation and removed my steak from the bill. I did appreciate this, however it slightly spoilt what I was hoping was going to be an unforgettable evening.
For valentines it was a romantic dinner in a great atmosphere, the food was delicious and the service was relaxed as they didn’t rush you......superb!
What an amazing steak! Simple as!
The steak was wonderful and as much as I try to highlight areas of improvement for the restaurant I come back to how good the steak was each time.
A great meal
Lovely food if advise to get the long steak can't remember wat it's called but its been marinated in garlic and it was amazing well worth the 50 pound
One of the best restaurants I have been to hands down!
Excellent Lomo steak and the side dishes of mushromms and spinach were very good.
Service a little slow
Restaurant was lovely for our Valentine’s Day date. The food was all delicious. Accommodated my note for the special occasion. Waiter was excellent. General staff could be friendlier.
Ambiente selecto. Comida muy sabrosa. Mesa pequeña para dos que cambiaron cuando lo pedimos.
Everything was great, the food was delicious and our waitress Marta was fantastic, great recommendations for food, wine and dessert. Had a lovely time!
Great food, lovely service and beautiful ambience. The music was a little loud, but a part from that, top notch place for a special occasion.
Really good, enjoyed the food and had a wonderful time will defo be coming back soon
Was really excited to go to gaucho as a treat on Valentine’s Day. On arriving there was a wait at reception for the cloak room and we were soon told that the table we reserved was prebooked and we needed to be out by a certain time. I can’t speak for all of the dining rooms as some looked significantly nicer than others but certainly the one we were in on the second floor was sub standard for a place such as gaucho. The carpet was dirty and chairs were worn and uncomfortable. The service was also disappointing as there seemed to be confusion as to who in fact was our waiter/waitress meaning we went through the whole ordering process twice. The service was not rude or hostile but I would have expected it to be smoother and for there to be a more welcoming atmosphere. Having ordered our steaks came. One steak was orders medium well and came out even more bloody than the other ordered medium rare. This was an inconvenience as it meant that my partner and I ended up not eating together as one of the steaks was sent back and took 10 minutes to return. Again something I would not expect from such an establishment. To further this both men’s bathrooms I went in were dirty with wet floors and grubby sinks and one of the women’s washrooms has lipstick marks all over the walls. Overall we found gaucho extremely disappointing as an experience and the £50 pound steaks To be mediocre at best. Will not be returning.
We had an enjoyable night. With it been Valentine's night itvwss particularly busy. 2 out of the three meals were very nice.
Absolutely amazing food, amazing vibe & amazing service. Highly recommend this beautiful restaurant!
Perfect evening with great service. Would defo recommend
As usual with Gaucho, the food was impeccable and so was the service. Did feel a bit cramped but still loved the evening
Lovely restaurant to spend on valentines, free sparking rosé on arrival was a nice touch! The fillet steak was incredible.
Good service food wasn’t as flavoursome
Our fifth visit to Gaucho and probably our last. We’ve always visited for Valtentines Day which is also my
Boyfriends birthday. We’ve always had the best meal and my boyfriend has been made to feel extra special with a birthday message with dessert. Apart from this occasion!! The whole meal was very rushed, the waiters were pushy and delivered our mains and desserts to the table next to ours. It was very busy, as expected for Valentines but it seemed that we were practically sat on top of other couples. I requested a special birthday message for my boyfriends dessert, as I do every year, but we received nothing. Very disappointed.
I booked a table for 4pm on Valentine’s Day more than a month in advance providing my credit card details to secure the deposit.
We arrived ten minutes early and was seated on a tiny table for 2 between two other couples that were dining despite the restaurant being very empty.
Service was slow and they appeared to be understaffed for that time of day. Eventually our water was delivered to our table and the waitress took our order. She was helpful in helping us to decide what steak to go for.
Problem 1: When the starters came out, they incorrectly gave my girlfriend a different starter that she didn’t order. I called over the waitress that took our order and she agreed immediately that was not what she ordered. I was left eating my scallops on my own without my girlfriend having anything. Eventually the correct starter appeared with no apology.
Problem 2: When the main courses came out one of the sides were forgotten. We had to wait a further 10 minutes for this side to be delivered to our table.
Problem 3: When paying the bill, the waiter added £7 on the credit card machine, service charge was already included at 12.5% but he added a further £7 that was not listed on the bill. I raised this with him and he had to give me this back in cash.
Problem 4: Later that evening I checked my emails and I had an email from opentable saying I had not made my reservation!!!! I immediately replied and said I had and that I had spent over £200 on the meal, they replied and apologised and said they had worked with the restaurant to correct this.
Problem 5: A few days later I checked my bank account and found an unknown transaction for £40 GIOMA UK LTD (London) I didn’t recognise the transaction and had to google the company. It turns out it was the restaurant charging me a “no show” charge!!!!! I was fuming.
Problem 6: I phoned the restaurant to complain and attempt to get my refund I was told I was listed and not turning up to the restaurant and I would have to prove
Lunch deal good value but water and sides expensive on top. Wine was nice for a £35 bottle
Overall good service
The food came quickly, was hot and the noise level was low enough, so I could hear myself speak with my client
I should visit again soon...even though it is not cheap
Not worth the money. Medium quality of the food but cost was high.
excellent food & service the indoor decor was really nice and dark everyone was dressed casual and few people in suits and elegant dresses
Wir haben den Geburtstag meines Freundes gefeiert, es war mega schön !
Immer wieder gerne !
The food was outstanding but I was disappointed that my request on my initial booking was not met.
