As expected favorite steak place in london.
I took my son as a treat and it was great!
Lovely vibe - positive service as friendly and welcoming - however starter didn’t actually arrive ..before the main ..
And though they said they would take it off the bill this was addressed without a prompt at the end of the meal ..
Food was amazing full of flavour and cooked to perfection
Cocktails were alittle below par for me ... but I am fussy .. the wine was great alittle expansive but tasted great
Had the Sunday roast. Not on menu and can see why literally minute steaks served which he had to send back twice. Not great
We had a lovely lunch on the roof terrace. Food was great and service excellent. Only criticism was the the table behind ours was too close - almost touching our chairs so not socially distant. I would’ve preferred the bustle of street level but overall an enjoyable afternoon.
Great food, great service, great use of outdoor space.
Some sides were a bit on the expensive side (eg an avocado and lettuce salad with 4 tiny pieces of avocado) was £5!
We wanted to have the Electro Brunch, not really clear on how to book it, on the gaucho’s website it does not specify that we had to wait until 17th May for brunch, asked for medium well Rump and got well done, steak was hard to eat. Sides were nice. Seemed rushed even though it took quite a while for our main to come. Decent but not great service for what we paid.
Great food as always and lovely cocktails. The waiting staff were so friendly and welcoming too.
Very good service and food. Will definitely be returning.
Amazing food and friendly staff. Had a great time
Great food and venue even with the wind we had! The staff were so helpful and made the lunch very enjoyable!
Lovely food, great service. Overall a delightful experience.
From start to end - top notch - well seasoned and cooked lomo Fillets . Stunningly cooked.
Empanadas outstanding .
Cheesecake outta this world .
Our waiter from Italy - was just on point all through the experience.
Brilliant food. We shared a steak sampler and every cut was so tender and tasty! Will be back.
We were seated outside on the only table without heaters, right at the entrance... Food got cold pretty quickly, we were cold... Not the greatest night for sure but it felt good to be outside.
Steak cooked to perfection...but I wasn't blown away by the flavour for the money. Gaucho is VERY good, but too expensive in my view.
Expected a bigger portion for the price but overall very good.
Service was fantastic. We were a birthday group of 6 and we arrived 30 mins late due to traffic. Attentive throughout and very understanding with our leave time which made all the difference. Thanks to the service staff in particular.
Very good service, nice food staff and dining area is warm and well arranged.
The food was amazing but they are squeezing way to many people into the outside area. The noise and ambience very chaotic.
Was very disappointed, had a wonky table, was sat in the open while everyone was under cover and heated they forgot to put the egg with the steak and waited 10 mins for it to come the service was awful there was no staff anywhere all inside not getting wet so wasn’t helpful we ask for the pill 3 times finally got it a the lady gave it to us then ran off then waited a further 25 mins for the card machine whilest there was a massive que of people waiting to be seated and was also all stairring at you eat overall wasn’t happy
Great food and great staff, one of the best lockdown eating venues I've visited.
Lovely food, environment and service! Friendly welcome and complaint with covid 19 restrictions
We were really pleased with the service that we received. The first table we were taken to was one of the few tables that was not undercover and had no heaters by it, as we were with out 14 month old daughter they were happy to swap our table to one which was more suitable and they safely stored away our pram for us. The staff were all very attentive and the food was delicious! We had the chateaubriand which just melted in the mouth! The sides were all incredibly tasty too. Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed the Mac and cheese from the kids menu! Couldn’t recommend Gaucho highly enough! Will definitely be returning!
Excellent service and the steak was delicious. The starters were very poor.
Lovely covered terrace with good heaters which is very convenient during the current guidelines. Unfortunately service was not that great. When staff member is walking around with dirty uniform that does not look great either. Waste of money as I could not finish my food as it was not served as requested. Disappointed.
It was lovely. Was raining but had a shelter and heaters which was great. Would definitely recommend
Great service and food. One of my favourite places to eat. We all had a lovely time. The lovely waitress from Madrid who served us couldn’t of been more amazing.
Very good steaks, excellent side dishes and starters! Nice staff.
Had such a good night and food was delicious, went for someone’s birthday and they gave us a free dessert.
Amazing food and very good service.
We visited Gaucho Piccadilly yesterday and had a reservation for 3pm. I received a call the day before to say that our booking time maybe pushed back due to the weather and to ensure we under cover, which I said was absolutely fine if we could just updated nearer the time. Upon arrival, we were seated at a 2 seater table with no cover. This was fine until it started to rain, it wasn’t just spits of rain it started to get heavier and this was ignored by staff and management. We asked if our table could be moved slightly just under the canopy (where there was lots of space) and would still comply with covid regulations. Our waiter said he would speak to the manager. The manager then come over asking the ‘problem’ was. I explained we’d like to move our table slightly so we was just a little more shielded from the rain and she said this couldn’t be done (even though there was lots of room) and that I should have read my email before arriving. She didn’t care and was so rude. I didn’t manage to get her name however she was wearing a blue gingham style blazer.
This was appalling service from management and she had 0 customer service skills. She expected us to pay £30 plus for steak to be sat in the pouring rain? This was pure greed from gaucho making us sit in the rain so they could squeeze in an extra few tables. I’ve never been spoken to how she did before and felt this needed to be highlighted with yourselves immediately. I’d hate for other diners to feel how we did yesterday. Luckily the rain stopped however if it had of got heavier we would have had no choice but to get up and leave the restaurant. Other diners were actually starting conversation with us saying they couldn’t believe we were being made to sit where we were and when they left they would give up their table if need be, which was lovely however it shouldn’t have got to this. Management simply should have been able to deal with this. We didn’t want any freebies we simply just wanted good service.
The service and food was excellent - but the whole experience was ruined by the manageress.
We were a party of six for a birthday, and seated in the upstairs terrace and right next to a huge gas fire. The fire was so hot that the seats were hot to the touch. We appreciated that all the seating has to be outside at the moment but politely asked if something could be done, either moving us or turning the fire off.
Then the manageress came over, who was surly and mildly aggressive. They did eventually move us and the rest of the meal was good, but two of our party overheard her stating that "she was sick of our moaning", which is hardly a fair comment, even if we hadn't heard it!
Throughout the rest of our stay she barked at me for walking the wrong way to the toilet (the "correct" way wasn't indicated) and she was overheard berating at least two other members of staff in a loud and bullying way.
I feel sorry for the rest of the staff for having to work under such a poor and unprofessional manager
Food and service good, if going to PiccadIlly you don’t want the first table, people stand to close and the smokers are too close, plus it’s a bit windy right in the corner.
But food good, wine recommend very good.
Kids enjoyed too
Great meal. Great service. We would definitely come back.
First time to Gaucho and I would completely recommend for a special occasion/gathering! The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful and the steaks were amazing. They had a great range of drinks and cocktails.
We were seated on the upstairs terrace which had of heaters and was very cosy. The waiters were attentive and friendly and the food superb thoroughly wonderful lunch and experience.
Food was amazing. Staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely ambience. Good value for money. Will definitely return.
Our waiter Raffa was very accommodating. He made us feel very welcome and feel he went above and beyond for us. Overall it was a great service and great food! Only thing 2 scallops for £16?!🤣 but they was lovely nevertheless
Food was lovely as always at Gauchos. The only problem was where we were seated had no shelter, the majority of the rest of the outdoor space was covered but not our table. When we asked to move to the empty covered table next to ours, they said it is against Covid guidelines - which surely cannot be correct as our old table would just have to be cleaned/sanitised as regular practice anyway once we leave? So we ate our £78 steak in the rain, which wasn't great. One of the waiters was lovely though! So overall I would say 3/5 experience.
