Could not fault the food, it was fabulous. Soft shell tacos amazing. Sirloin amazing. Mushrooms and chips amazing! The fourth time I have dined there and it is always top notch. Far superior to the Gaucho in Piccadilly. Ambience and service also spot on.

A wonderful place to celebrate my birthday. We visited midweek and although the restaurant was of course about half full, this didn’t affect the ambiance of the restaurant. All members of staff were welcoming and professional. The food is exceptional - we had a 400g Ribeye each and these were cooked to perfection. I would recommend the potted salt beef starter and a cocktail from the extensive list to kick the evening off. Delicious.

I can’t wait to visit again!

The table Service was very good but my Main was served on a cold plate and therefore my steak was cold on arrival, plate was sent back to the kitchen and the replacement was delivered hot on a warm plate. Very nice steak (in the end). The staff were very apologetic and gave us free desert and coffee. I think this experience was just a one off Monday afternoon problem, I'll try again if I'm in the area.

Excellent steak, perfectly cooked. The beef tamale was spot on however disappointed by the small size of the empanadas priced at £5 each even though there were extremely well executed. Lovely views. So many kids present on Sunday afternoon!

Sadly had some really slow service and were waiting for long periods on several occasions.

Some lowlights:

Table not ready until 8:20 for 8:00 booking

Stale bread served

Ketchup asked from 3 different people until it arrived 10 or so mins later

Table water not topped up once even though glasses were clearly empty

Restaurant was busy to begin with but had cleared out significantly by the time we came to order.

Real shame as we have been coming here for years but maybe not so much any more

I took my wife here for a late valentines date and thoroughly enjoyed it, from the moment we arrived we were looked after.
The seating that we was given had an amazing view of the river and luckily it was a sunny day so we was kept warm for a couple of hours.
The food was amazing and much bigger portions than I expected and the taste of everything was exceptional especially my steak (which was way bigger than expected)
Overall my wife loved it and couldn’t stop talking about how much she enjoyed it and we’ll definitely be coming back.

This is our second poor experience at Gaucho recently , first one at Piccadilly and second time at Richmond. We tried their lunch menu , everything we ordered were very poor in terms of taste. It is definitely a no no place for us from now on.

My wife and I recently visited gauchos Richmond. As usual we were not disappointed with the food the ambience the service were all excellent. We find the staff particularly pleasant and helpful. Special mention for barman Marion and our table waiter Evan. It’s a no brainer if you want to impress.

Will.

It is quite expensive but the steaks are huge, we completely over ordered on sides and barely managed to eat even half the chips or veg, but the waiter bagged it all up beautifully for us. We had a lovely unhurried afternoon, thoroughly enjoyed it
