Service and food was fantastic. Great atmosphere.
Came here for my wife's birthday, and was pleasantly surprised on how good the food and service was.
Food - simple, AMAZING. Steak was prepared to perfection and side orders were spot on.
Service was excellent. Not disturbed halfway through a mouth full of steak, being asked "everything ok?".
Birthday treat from the restaurant was the cherry on the cake. Cannot thank them enough.
Will recommend and we'll be going again.
Birthday for a friend, very enjoyable
Meat wasn’t the best m. It was a bit chewy. Dessert was amazing.
Always good for a steak! (they do do chicken if you are not a red meat eater). Very good service and a comfortable setting. We would return
Beautiful lunch, highlighted by impeccable service by Luca
Whilst waiting staff were pleasant and apologetic, the food took almost an hour to arrive.
One steak was raw and the salad consisted of mainly stalks with minimal leaves. Side order of chips failed to arrive during the meal.
Music was too loud for conversation
Not a great experience & certainly not good value
Food and wine and Dessert was great. Ambience for me and my guests was outstanding and we enjoyed the Gaucho experience. Service was very good as well. Very happy overall and will definitely return with others friend. Recommended.
It was lovely, the waiter Antonio was great the family all enjoyed it very much
The food was lovely and our waitress was efficient and professional. She made us feel welcome and made great food and drink recommendations.
The music was TOO loud. We couldn’t even hear the waitress properly!
the steak was very small and it was tough and dry with no little sauce
It’s lovely to finally be able to get back to my favourite steak restaurant. However, things seem to have changed quite a lot. The waiting staff are lovely and the hygiene standard is kept at the highest level. However, it was the changes noticed in Gaucho’s signature dishes made it all a bit strange. To start, bread has to be ordered rather than come as complementary to the meal. Then the bread only come with 2 of my old favourite cheese doughs in an elongated strange shape. Next to the starter Seabass ceviche, it tasted refreshing the the plating with chunky pieces of fish rather than thinly sliced ones really not very appetising. Luckily, the steak is still the star of the show. Overall, not a bad experience but is slightly disappointing for a Gaucho fan
service was excellent the Italian waiter was superb and food was top
Friendly staff and amazing food and drinks! I will definitely come back.
Staff wearing masks with their noses hanging out. Not all of them but a good few, as well as the guy serving our table. Food was so disappointing. The meat was pretty tasteless and apart from the fillet, all other meats were tough and chewy. The sauce was bland. They didn't have the beer I chose from the menu and the music was way too loud, so loud in fact that we could barely hear each other across the table. I have to say, the Branch in Hampstead, which I went to in December was phenomenal. Maybe it's the Chelsea Branch that don't really know what they are doing. Never coming back. Too expensive for what we got.
The food is okay, the service and attitude of the waiter was very good
There were 4 of us for dinner. The steaks are seriously good and juicy!! The sides are also incredible- their Mac and cheese is scrumptious and I highly recommend it!
I wish their non alcoholic drink options were larger but it’s by no means a reason I wouldn’t go again.
I’ve been a few times in the last few years and it’s really consistent!
Lovely food and great service, felt looked after from the moment I arrived
Nice, quiet, relaxed, attentive staff and the meat was just goergous.
Unfortunate experience for our first visit to this restaurant which came recommended by a few people prior to Covid.
We were seated at the back of the restaurant (which was reasonably empty at the time me arrived - which was quite a chilli area. The starter well presented but 3 scallops which tasted just “ok”. Main course was bland, barring the mash potato which was extremely salty. Desert was just ok (chocolate fondant quite dry inside).
We didn’t realise it was a dog friendly restaurant so also sat at our meal with barking noises in the background which was a little disappointing- have never experienced this before on an evening out and it didn’t improve the experience.
Our waiter was lovely but it seemed she was the only one on shift as the restaurant got busier so periods of waiting time - not excessive and not her fault but have experienced better service for these prices.
Glad I finally made it there but safe to say that I wouldn’t go back.
Service was great our server was very friendly. Felt very safe with Covid procedures in place. A very pleasant Monday night out.
Happy to provide ratings, but experienced now sullied by the fact I have to write something in order to complete this review.
Good service as always, but the food was a bit bland and very oily
So disappointing. Been many times in the past and even allowing for the pandemic issues we found the food not the standard of before. We got no bread and chimmichuri dip as you did in the past. Basic house wine expensive
Marinated steak barely marinated like before and much smaller
Food tasty but portions shrunk in size but prices haven’t. Not sure we will return
Can’t complain about anything x
Lovely service food was great and was surprised with a glass of champagne for my birthday x
Really good experience, the food was great and the service from Davide was amazing, he was really helpful answering all our questions.
Fabulous food and fabulous service! Would highly recommend
Steak was over cooked, sent back but didn’t get the new one until everyone else had finished. Would expect better when the bill came to £300 for 3 people.
Restaurant was a little quieter but I guess that’s down to the current climate.
Food was ok although missing the humitas and sweet potato from the menu.
Looks like you have to pay for the breads that used to be complementary previously before.
Having been to many Gaucho the Sloane Sq wasn’t quite the atmosphere I’d experienced before
Lovely staff and amazing food. More expensive than the usual steak but it is worth the money!
Absolutely loved our meal here, the steak was cooked to perfection and the staff were so friendly and helpful. A friend of mine i was dining with has gluten and dairy intolerance and though the menu is very clear with different options available they were also happy to help adapt things that weren't suitable where possible. Such a lovely experience, will definitely be back
Hugely overpriced for what food is now. Menu changed and not for good. Bread is now part of menu - used to be free. Poor selection of salads. you are not asked if you want dressing or not; salad comes with 'ceasar' type dressing. Cut of meat is not what is used to be. all in all average
Outside seating is very exposed to the public feels like I’m sitting in the middle of the path. Steak come well done when I ordered rare but this was later sorted out.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Will definitely be doing the electro brunch again.
Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Would recommend
Food was slow & steak was ok but not brilliant. Staff were very attentive and general atmosphere good.
Good food though was brought out a bit cold. Good ambiance
Not what it used to be
