Greatest restaurant in London! A must to go, fantastic Argentinian steak
Great service, great value set menu, fab!
Very well placed restaurant with great views!
The staff where amazing and very attentive and polite, there was no rushing or forced table service.
Food was incredible all steaks cooked to perfection exactly as requested.
Fantastic experience that made my 21st birthday an extra special occasion. Food was fantastic and I could not praise the staff enough for their excellent service. Highly recommended.
Service was amazing, I requested a window table as the view is amazing and it was my boyfriends birthday and they accommodated us. Food amazing as always. This place is perfect for a special occasion.
Fantastic meal, great place to eat, although not cheap. I would give them six out of five it was that good!!!!
Very disappointed in the Mac & Cheese - over cooked to the point of being burnt, no sauce and serving pot was untouchable. Not the best fillet (had fat) but cooked well. Pepper sauce was gravy with peppercorns. Chips had no thyme (as advertised) and we never got the rocket salad. Very disappointed and expensive for average food.
Very disappointed our steak was over cooked but the manager was very apologetic and reduced our bill .
Fantastic as always! Delicious food, fabulous view of Tower Bridge and impeccable service. We were served by Claudiu, who was incredibly attentive but also good humoured. Highly recommend Gaucho.
A beautiful location, amazing food and great staff. A wonderful night out.
By far the best Steak restaurant I have ever been to. Very impressed by all the staff we encountered. Being shown on a board exactly what type of steak are available and being given expert advice on how to have them cooked was fantastic. Will definitely visit again.
It was a special occasion but nothing was done to show this (I’ve been to gauchos before so this is unusual)
Had to ask for a drinks menu
We then eventually got our bread just as they were serving our mains:
Got our dessert menu and then waited 15 minutes for waiter to come back.
Lots of waiting around, not usual gauchos experience which is a shame as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary.
Second time I visited here within a few weeks. The food was excellent except for the dessert, can't remember what it was called but was effectively a small quantity of whippy ice cream in a large brandy glass for £10. However starters and main courses were great, the 400 gram sirlion was excellent.
There were a few non-available cocktails and wine. The former was annoying as it was on the menu ... but was no longer available as it was an Xmas special - we visited on the 12 January so why hadn't they changed the menu.
When we visited in December we had an amazing waiter who provided probably the best service I have experienced in a London restaurant. The waiter (and the rest of the staff) at this visit were disappointing, non-attentive and indifferent.
As i said...the meat was really nice, even if they bringed one of the meat cold and they recoked again.I'm afraid i didn't enjoy with service, specially if you going place like this,i think everyone will expect best service.
I been here before,but i don't think i will do again.
The only think really amazing it is the view....unbelievable picture...but notthing to do with the restaurant.
Poor service considering the cost. Disappointing. Constantly had to ask for things, as no one came to ask, despite not being busy. Parts of orders forgotten. Felt like a cheap chain not an expensive restaurant. Food was ok and setting was lovely, but spoilt by poor customer service. Won’t hurry back.
Staff were incredibly attentive, helpful and made the wife's birthday celebrations extra special. Food and win4 suberp
I have been to this restaurant many times and will go back again.
On this occasion which was a birthday I had requested a window seat when booking, and then asked again when I arrived before the birthday girl did and was told that there was a seat by the window that will be freeing up soon so wait at the bar, and if that doesn't free up in time there is booth facing the window that would also be free.
5 mins later when everyone arrived I asked if we can be seated and was told both of those seats had now been given away so we had a seat facing the wall. It was a disappointing service on this matter.
We had a lovely time and the waiter that we had was super attentive and lovely to talk too
If you like biff stakes this is your place to eat. Red wine is amazing, decent cocktails, excellent deserts
Went for my one year anniversary and was really fantastic, food was delicious and service was great. Really friendly place and wide range of food!
Very poor seating arrangements. As a party of five we were squeezed into a table designed for four. The restaurant showed no interest to change. Only stayed because no time to find alternative.
It was not very busy when we arrived but the service was still rather slow and haphazard.
The food was acceptable but not particularly great.
Maybe it was a post Christmas/New Year hangover for them but as apaying customer I'm not interested in that.
I would be unlikely to visit again
Made use of our festive Christmas cracker vouchers. Amazing!
Fantastic restaurant with even better service. Our sever Christain was amazing extremely helpful.
The food was very flavoursome and of high quality.
Excellent food and service!
Amazing service, and food was incredible. We were recommended by a friend and we will certainly be passing it on!
Really good service and food
Venue was lovely with a beautiful view. Waiter/staff was really nice and helpful. Picked the OpenTable special offer menu which was quite nice although very limited selection but I guess you get what you pay for! However they didn't have the vegetarian option which was a shame, I'm not a strict vegy but for the 1st Jan starting veganuary it wasn't ideal!!! However full bottle of champagne made up for it. Meal was nice but chips were awful...had all the little sharp ends (maybe because we had OpenTable menu we got the left overs...had a peak at other diners and their chips looked decent). Mac & Cheese was also a bit underwhelming. Anyway all in all it was a nice night however would recommend sticking to their normal.menu and not the special offers.
Amazing steaks. Service a little slow but still had great night.
I have been to other Gaucho restaurants which I found much more intimate and cosy. The view of Tower Bridge was lovely, but the restaurant was too noisy, cramped, and the lighting was quite bright where we were sitting. The food was ok, but it didn't feel at all like an £100 meal. I don't think I would like to recommend this restaurant to anyone.
It was good for a casual date. Interior was lovely and Location was great to walk after the dinner. Food was average but promotion with a bottle of wine was a deal.
Extremely poor service on New Year's Eve. Disappointed as been here many times before and has been great. Steak was good although it took servers 10 mins to bring over our sauces as they were forgotten. Won't be going back again.
Lovely dinner with friends for last of the year. Amazing food and great service.
Food was amazing but it was a little bit rushed ordering food as it was new year eve and we only had 1 hour and 30 mins for the table the waiter came up to us 3/4 times to ask if we were ready to order when it was our first time and wanted to look at the menu properly
The experience was great, the only thing is that we had a reservation, and they could have given us a better table, in the second floor, to enjoy the views, but they didn’t, we sat in the first floor, at the end of the restaurant, so the views were not the best ones. The food, excellent.
Quite disappointed. We booked a table for 3 for 9pm and the table was not ready yet when we arrived. They let stay us wait for another 10-15min in their bar, standing, because there's no enough chairs. When we finally got our tables, it took them another 10min to gave us their menu. And another 10-15min to get our order. We kept on calling them for the menu and to get order btw. This whole situation happened when they're not even packed. About half of their tables are unoccupied. I personally dont drink alcohol, so just ordered a glass of Coke and it tasted diluted. It didn't feel like it was a carbonated drink. I asked them to change it once but it taste the same. The overall service didn't live up to their name and price basically.
Very average food and not so great wine, won’t go back. Nice atmosphere.
The lady on reception was so nice and welcoming. We enjoyed the food, however the waitor was very blunt and didn’t seem very happy. We then asked for the service charge to be taken off as we felt £35 service charge was too much and he said “was I not good then” which is very rude. We pay the tip what we want to pay.
Excellent steak. Rather expensive but after tasting food that seems acceptable. A bit too noisy but very vibrant. Good and quick serving staff.
