It was a surprise dinner party for a 40th Birthday. Sadly the lady on reception nearly gave the surprise away by not finding my booking when I arrived with my partner ! Sayinf I had no booking. I even had to check the computer screen myself. And then after finding my booking she announced my booking was for 14 people even though I kept saying it was for 2 ! And giving her a look of ‘this is a surprise’ !! This unsettled me massively and I was disappointed that I felt stressed by the time we went to our table which was in the private dining room so you would think the lady on reception would have known the name of the booking and that I had been clear that it was a surprise. Luckily my partner was oblivious to it all because it was a weekday and he didn’t expect a surprise to occur on a Tuesday. Apart from this incident, Gaucho were outstanding but I cannot give 5 stars as the lady on reception let the team down and didn’t even apologise to me.
But the food and service and the private room were awesome, thanking you all.
Awesome meal. Best steak in London
Worst food I’ve had at gaucho and have been a few times. Very disappointed with the quality of the food.
They need to get proper meat cutlery if they want to call themselves a Gaucho restaurant. The first table that we got was a table for 2 people and we were 5. They realized the table was so small that it would not fit the food so we had to change tables. Service was ok but the guy spoke way too much. Wine was excellent. The meat got cold quickly. Coffee did not come with the dessert as we wished, but we could have communicated that better. They were not able to order a taxi :)
Fabulous Restaurant, friendly efficient staff. It's in a great location. As visitors to London, we thoroughly enjoyed our early evening dining experience.
Un sitio para repetir!! La carne, buenísima.
Poor selection of starters, main course ok not great felt like you were being rushed, music far to loud could not have conversation across table with my wife
So for £220 not the most enjoyable meal I have had
Best steak i’ve had at a reasonable price. Sides are also extremely delicious
Very busy on Saturday night. Best to pre book table.
Very good flavours. Some steak would benefit of not being THAT well done. The sides are massive.
Tables next to window have an amazing view of the Tower Bridge.
Annoyingly, every waiter passing pushed my chair. For some reason.
And the staff doesn't pay attention to the notes from this website. It took them a while to find table for us with the request specified in a booking.
Lovely setting and amazing steaks.
Been to Gaucho many times , always good . This time service wasn’t great , forgot cutlery for main meal. Steak wasn’t tender at all. Table was squashed as really a table for 2 not 3.
I was served by Sam who was very polite and he kept checking to make sure our needs were attended to. Overall, I enjoyed the experience!!
The service was quite poor on our visit. Very slow, side dishes and drinks were forgotten, we had to flag down the waiter a number of times to get service. The food was pretty much cold by the time all of our main dishes were brought out to us.
Food was slow and not hot
Service was slow and hard to get waiters attention
We had a great time at the Electro Brunch. Other than the avocado which being rock hard not only was it not smashed, we couldn't even cut it.
It was very loud but for a two hour slot on a Saturday afternoon, we got used to it - like a day time night club.
We chose this branch for the view and it didn't disappoint.
Amazing night. Had the best table in the house with a view of Tower Bridge. Amazing service and really helpful friendly staff. The steak was out of this world!! I’ve never tasted amazing steak like I did at Gauchos. Had a pudding and the staff wrote happy anniversary on it which was a lovely addition and thought. Perfect night, perfect food and perfect setting and view. I can’t wait to return.
Gaucho’s is still a great experience for steak lovers with a five star location and view of Tower Bridge.
New decor is interesting and liked by most but just missing the brand cowhide booths and chairs as new furniture is not as stylish.
Recommend to all as they still have it when it comes to streak.
Eat at this restaurant when in London over 5 years. Has lost a lot in service and quality of the steak. Was one of our to restaurant but has lost a lot
Very good food and atmosphere
Fabulous birthday surprise for my husband food was delicious
Amazing experience, and amazing service. We enjoyed our evening and the view was incredible. Very thankful for the birthday dessert at the end. My partner was very happy with the results.
Everything about this place is fantastic. Service, food, location all first rate.
Gaucho Riverside has an amazing vibe, beautiful views, attentive staff ... and great steak!
Beautiful meal beautiful location
recently refurbed, very interesting, comfy layout. Food was to die for, we felt so bad that we couldn't eat all the side dishes we had ordered! tasty tasty tasty. Also, the white wine, OMG to die for and nice to see you are getting a bottle that you can't buy in your local for £5 ! great job guys.
I had an amazing time here with my friends. We booked a Christmas dinner for a our friends group. The manager and staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs! The service was amazing! The place was beautiful but it’s more the staff members and managers service that made the evening fantastic!
Service was fab! Made to feel so welcome and they really explained the meat cuts before we chose.
Absolute amazing! Pedro went beyond to help me give a special birthday night
Really nice restaurant, great service and great food. We witness a wedding proposal. Nice view on Tower Bridge but I wouldn't go for that.
This place was amazing! From us being greeted by Dee to be sitted. The food was tasty and the wine was even more tasty. Dee asked was we from the states I said yes she worked very hard to get us a window seat to view the bridge. Omg Amazing. The staff, the atmosphere, the food. Everything made our experience here phenomenal. We came to celebrate our 10 year anniversary
Put our coats away, always checked up on us. Very good would recommend for date night/anniversaries. Even witnessed an engagement ! We had the set menu and it was worth the price. Amazing view although wasn’t opened, would’ve preferred there.
Amazing as always
Thank you so much. Views are incredible and food is out of this world. The waiters made the evening.
We had a stunning meal here, and the service was fantastic - as were the drinks!
Great location and an environment that had a great buzz from the minute you walked in.
Cocktails were a must. Lovely table and view. our waiter was fantastic - attentive, with personality but not over imposing.
The food was excellent and this restaurant seems to take pride in what they offer.
A great night out with a small group of friends.
Fantastic food, fantastic service...would highly recommend and deffo going back again
We had a lovely experience at Gauchos, the table was small and we felt very cramped but the service was excellent and the food delicious. It’s quite a noisy busy spot but would visit again.
We visited Gaucho Tower Bridge on a Saturday afternoon. I have been to a number of Gaucho restaurants across London and while the look and feel at this restaurant is the same as others, I didn’t feel this one came up to the same standards in terms of atmosphere and service.
The bar area was extremely noisy which could easily be heard in the restaurant and did not make for a relaxed environment and while the service was good I had to ask for my water glass to be re-filled twice and for clean cutlery with my main course. I appreciate this doesn’t sound a lot but when you’re paying for a premier service the expectations are higher.
I would go back to Gaucho Tower Bridge but I would request a seat in the downstairs area.
Excellent! We came for my husbands 40th Birthday and he was made to feel very special, the staff were enthusiastic and attentive and the food was really superb! Brilliant for our special occasion!
We went to celebrate a birthday and it was a lovely evening. The location is amazing as you get a beautiful view of the tower bridge and the london night lights. The decor inside the restaurant is very nice. The dimmed lighting and candles on the table make it nice for a date night. The food was really good and the staff were super friendly. I would definitely recommend a visit!
Great steak, service was excellent
