Great venue for a special birthday, steaks are excellent and cooked perfectly tender! No steak knife needed! We ordered some spinach, fat chips and the cauliflower cheese to share to have with the steaks and we certainly didn’t needs anything else. Selection G Malbec was a great accompliment.

Wonderful food and great staff. Music was a bit too energetic and toilets not very clean so 4 out of 5 overall.

Great food exceptional service. Lovely setting by Tower Bridge especially as it got dark the Bridge lit up. We have eaten at afew Gauchos and this was by far out favourite due to location and attentive staff. Would definitely recommend 1st floor table for the view.

Unfortunately not our best Gaucho experience. We were seated downstairs where the noise level was exceedingly high, our booking was 815pm, we left after 11 and were very disappointed to still be sharing our sophisticated night out with children, one of whom was having it's diaper changed on the floor of the restaurant! Not acceptable in a restaurant of this calibre.

Food was amazing. And the service was really attentive and quick. Only downside that they did not have any steak knives which is a bit weird in a steakhouse.

Amazing, individual service provided to all tables. Quick introduction to the meat and wine selection makes choosing your meal easier. There are countless possibilities to tailor your food just to your liking. Overlooking Tower Bridge - a view to remember all your life especially if you visit after sunset to see the bridge in evening lightning. Would definitely recommend for special occasions!

What can apart from we had an amazing time from start to finish. The staff were attentive but not over powering, they gave great advise with the food and wine. The food was to die for, we enjoyed ever mouthful. It was a perfect place for us to celebrate or 30th Wedding Anniversary.

Waiter extremely helpful (Cristian)
Steaks lovely
Expensive when you pay extra for marinade, sauces, and £4.95 for each side dish.

Nice food and the steaks were excellent.... but poor service.
15 minutes before we were offered a drink and then another 10 minutes before they arrived.... and it wasn’t even busy!!

I took my son (age 10) for a special birthday lunch. The staff were very warm and welcoming and looked after us. The views of Tower Bridge are fantastic and in my son's words 'even the toilets are fancy!' For a special occasion, you would be hard pressed to beat this restaurant if you love steak and red wine and iconic views of London. You have to pay for side orders and they are very generous which wasn't highlighted to us, this was a little disappointing as we ordered 2 portions of chips and we could easily have shared one, so the waiters should really advise on portion size when selecting side dishes. However, we had a fantastic lunch and would definitely recommend.

From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome. 50th birthday dinner - they wished the birthday girl many happy returns, provided a glass of bubbly for everyone and decorated her dessert with a lovely birthday message. Food arrived promptly and was delicious. Klaudia gave us welcome and very helpful advice with the food & wine. A delightful evening thanks to the wonderful staff & food. Will definitely return.

2nd time in a week and the folks at Gaucho really looked after us. A real reminder of what exceptional feels like in a restaurant. We felt welcomed, special and valued. So often a restaurant experience is let down because of the lack of...well...an experience. The food is exceptional but that's just not enough and Gaucho nailed it. If i ran Gaucho I'd love to know my customers felt like we did when we left. We will be going back again for sure, not for the food alone but because the guys there know how to surprise and delight from start to finish.

Great place for 6 month anniversary date. They wrote on the plate for desert happy anniversary which my girlfriend wasn't expecting and the waiter also congratulated us on 6 months. Was a small detail but made a big difference to her night.

I went there for my graduation with my parents. We had a fantastic meal with amazing service. We asked for suggestions from the waitress which we all took and were absolutely delicious. We even received a glass of bubbles from the house for the occasion. We will certainly come back.

Good food, great wine and fabulous service. Gaucho is fairly pricey but we knew that before we went and the service and food is as you would expect for the price. I had a voucher as a leaving gift otherwise it is not the place I would usually afford to go for a get together with friends! Was not disappointed though. A lovely treat. NB very stiff doors in the ladies toilets. Lots of ladies stood outside waiting for non-existent occupants to leave!

I love Goucho’s - from the minute we arrive where we are met with a smiley welcome to escorting us to our table and asking us if we are happy with it and explaining the menu - it’s simply perfect. Your server is approachable, nothing is too much trouble, the soft shell crab was delicious, the fillet steak was perfection, the breads wonderful. I couldn’t stretch to a dessert as I was full to the brim but they kindly bought us a tray of chocolate truffles with a congratulations message on our anniversary. The view of Tower Bridge in the evening with all the lights glowing is very romantic so great for a couples evening. I just love coming here and hope that their current financial problems are quickly resolved.

A lovely setting and good service. The tables are far too close to each other to justify the prices; you would expect this more in McDonalds. The food on the whole was very good, but the steak was very poor. Difficult to cut, very chewy and not cooked as requested. The table next to us had the same problem, so it didn't feel like it was an isolated incident. The rest of the food was excellent. It was a disappointing first time experience at Gaucho, and one that doesn't encourage us to return.

Loved Loved loved Gaucho! The service was amazing, I was made to feel special! The hostess agreed to change our table from down stair dinning area to up stairs were I had a perfect view of Tower bridge.
The steak was cooked to perfection, I will definitely be coming back.

Reception was great however it went downhill from there once we got seated. My prawns were undercooked, which might be fine in normal circumstances however I notified our server that I’m pregnant so it was important that my food was not undercooked. The bread came with the mains and not ahead as would have expected. My main came with a side salad but was charged for a separate side salad and worst of all, we weren’t even checked on during our meal. We had to chase down another server to get the bill after our meal which took 20min.

Poor show for a restaurant brand I always enjoy. I will not come back to this location.

Second time at Gauchos- second disappointment.
Rib eye and sirloin both over cooked and tough. Asked for medium rare and got pink centres.
Broccoli was over cooked, started falling apart.
Crab salad special was very un-special and I was offered a larger (main) portion but the starter size was delivered and a double portion was charged.
At least wine and sausage sharing plate was decent.

Really, really, really disappointing and not to mention I was so embarrassed when my foreign guests were upset about their steak. They were gracious not to have sent it back.

I took a special friend out on her birthday and in a nutshell, we are both really appreciative of the efforts that staff took to help me make the day as special as it was. They outdid themselves with regards to exceeding expectations, since I put in certain requests for the night (not expecting them to go the extra mile, especially with the presentation and service).

Firstly, the food was stunning.
However, it was only afterwards that I realised there was some ‘up selling’ going on. I was talked in to a more expensive wine and a more expensive steak. Both were delicious but I’m not overly sure on the reasons for different recommendations. Also, I’m not convinced the bill was correct. I questioned one item which was swiftly removed and it then became all rather embarrassing so I didn’t question further but I’d like to have because I’m still not sure it was correct even now.
I’m saying all of this, the food as I mentioned was beautiful and I would visit again but I’d be a bit more prepared.
