We really enjoyed our meals and the customer service we received from all staff, in particular Aristotle who made sure that my steak was cooked well! From the minute we arrived we felt looked after, the venue and decor is very luxurious and the prime location adds to the whole experience. We will most definitely be revisiting. 😊👌
Very nice location. If you have a window table, the view on Tower Bridge is amazing, especially at night. The meat is delicious. Overall it was a very good experience
Everything from start to end was super. We were well impressed as we got everything I asked for-table by the window and Happy Birthday message to my boyfriend! Thank you very much Gaucho!
Empanadas were juicy and full of flavour as was scallops and black pudding starter.
Picana steak done to perfection and my friend 500g steak with bernaise sauce was so delicious there was not chat from him when he was eating.
Service by Zaklina was simply perfect.
Food was delicious and staff and service were amazing 👍🏽 Will definitely be going back !! View was amazing and gaucho’s itself is unreal !!
Excellent and very attentive service throughout. Despite being a busy Saturday night every member of staff had time for you. And I mean every member of staff from being greeted right through waiting staff to the toilet cleaner who greeted me cheerfully and with a smile and opened the door for me.
Food was also excellent and the advice given on what cut to have and how best to have it was spot on. Also advice on the wine list was brilliant.
We throughly enjoyed the Gaucho’s experience thank you
Firstly I have to say that the chefs know how to select and cook steaks; the food was very good. However, and unfortunately for the restaurant, the food is not the only criteria by which diners decide where to eat, as good as it is. By every other measure, this was one of our worst dining experiences ever. The organisation at the restaurant is shambolic; the restaurant is on two levels. We entered downstairs at the time of our booking and were shown upstairs; the hostess wouldn’t take our coats in the downstairs cloakroom even though she’d taken the previous diners’ coats, ours had to go in the upstairs cloakroom. Our table wasn’t quite ready and was being relayed and we were sat in the bar, where we remained undisturbed for the next 20 mins. All the time we sat there we could see three set tables for two available. After 20 mins a different hostess came to check who we were as the first hadn’t checked us in; 10 mins later, so half an hour after our booking time we were eventually shown to a table. We explained to our waiter that we were concerned whether we’d have enough time as we’d lost the 30 mins as we had a show to go to and he became a little dismissive - our concerns were based on our previous visit where the dinner was very slow and we only made our show by 5 mins. The waiter brought us cheese bread when we specifically said we could have it as my wife has an allergy to it; he then brought more bread which was way past stale- so hard you could nail wood to it. After disappearing for a while he brought more bread. I thanked him as the first lot was stale and he said he knew that but they had nothing else whilst a new batch was baking. He didn’t see any issue when I queried his actions when he could have just informed us that there was no bread at the moment. He continued to be rude and surly throughout even asking us if he was the reason we didn’t chose a dessert when it was actually because the Gaucho dessert menu is rather uninspired.
Disappointed to have to return steak to kitchen. Replacement was not to standard expected.
Wrong steaks were delivered to the wrong people, food was heavily overpriced.
Service added automatically when it was generally very poor.
Wouldn’t recommend. There are better Steakhouses.
As always can’t fault Gaucho’s
Beautiful view and great wine. Been here a few times and it’s a favroite. Good value lunch menu
Great food, as usual, but would benefit from proper knifes for the meat - really struggling to cut into my steak with the ordinary knifes supplied. A bit shocking considering meat is the house's specialty.
I took my Husband to Gaocho Tower Bridge for his birthday we had a very enjoyable lunch and were looked after very well.
Great ambiance and a very cool vibe in a great location. Large floor to ceiling windows allow for views of the London Tower Bridge and make for good people watching. Very mixed clientele from families to young couples. The food is good but very meat-heavy as they are a steakhouse. The Argentinian dishes they do serve are a great touch.
VERY GOOD FOOD AND NICE PEOPLE AND FANTASTIC LOCATION
Service and atmosphere are absolutely great and the steaks have been excellent.
They’ve booked us in last minute , service was great , foot was very good , thanks
GAUCHO WAS GREAT STAFF VERY NICE, GREAT VIEW OF TOWER BRIDGE
The steak and fillet were absolutely spot on. The service and starters (empanada and provoleta) less so
Another amazing evening at Gaucho. Service fantastic and food beyond tremendous.
It was perfect! Great delicious food, great service and atmosphere. Honestly can’t fault a single thing. I’ll definitely visit again but would like try a different Gaucho too
Enjoyed celebratory meal for my daughters 21. Guess you pay for the view and service. Steak not particularly special for the price
enjoyable meal, waiter was very good but service was slow at the beginning. Took at least 20-25 minutes until order was taken. Food is very good, however sides are £5 each and so small (literally 2 spoons of mash with not much truffle taste). steaks are very good, but expensive... we had a discount card but full price for 2 people would have been £250+(we had a very good £54 bottle of malbec and 3 courses each + an extra starter).
The food was great and the service was excellent.
Waiter was very friend and helpful, he explained the cuts thoroughly before we selected our food. A little bit pricey but food was delicious and therefore worth it.
Birthday Meal: Recommend anyone celebrating there birthday to have a meal at gaucho. Rate it 10/10 :)
Terrible experience at one of our much loved steak restaurants. Aware of our anniversary booking and request to have a table by the window, however this wasn’t reserved. Put in another table st the back of the restaurant as the wait could have been 1hr plus.
We really enjoyed our visit to Gauchos. The steak was amazing, really good. We went for the set menu which was quite limited for starters and deserts. I would also add that they did get our starters wrong which was surprising considering that there are only three to choose from. I also thought they were very stingy on the soft drinks - mostly ice and when we asked for one without ice, we got a smaller glass. This seemed mean. Service was good and it is a great location. All in all, very nice for a special event. It was expensive though if you drink alcohol!
Fantastic evening, set menu is fantastic value for money and service is very attentive.
Great choice of drinks and food with fast service. The food wasn’t amazing, for bottomless brunch it’s really all about the drink selection.
Really good food, great location. The only small thing that could be improved is that nobody answers the phone when you’re calling. But that does not change the fact that this restaurant is very good and definitely worth trying.
Very nice food and amazing views on the first floor by the window
Really good meal and excellent service as always with Gaucho
Have been a few times before and loved it, but not this time! Requested a window seat for my mother’s 75th birthday, could not have been further away. We were sat next to a group party who were so noisy we couldn’t even hear each other. On three separate occasions we requested different bottles of wine to be told they didn’t have it in stock and the waiter then suggested a £75 bottle. We then ordered separate glasses of wine and had to wait 30mins for them. Chips were cold, latte was cold and was served to us before our dessert. Will not be returning!
Just outstanding. Service was excellent. So looked after.
I booked Gaucho for a celebratory meal after my Fiancee and I got engaged the day before and I notified the restaurant of this.
I requested that we were Sat upstairs by the window with a view of Tower Bridge. I was disappointed that my request was not accepted and instead when we arrived we were Sat downstairs, admittedly by the window but I had a view of a post and luckily my Fiancee had a a view of Tower Bridge.
Next, we were offered a glass of champagne but as my Fiancee is pregnant she could not drink but I accepted the offer. To my surprise, the glass of champagne was added to bill but I was under the impression it was complimentary. I just felt this was a nice touch missed by Gaucho.
Next, they got one of the starters wrong as the filling was incorrect. To be fair they said we could have both but it was not what I would have expected from a restaurant like Gaucho.
The waiter was good and he was helpful throughout and the manager took time to come over to congratulate us at the end of our meal. I just couldn't help but feel the restaurant missed out on an opportunity to have made our special night that bit more special.
We don't eat out up London often and I was left feeling slightly disappointed.
The food was good and I would go again but not to celebrate a special occasion.
I would only recommend the Set menu as the service was awful (it took us asking 4 people to get Tap water). Also Broccoli with popcorn as a side....no that is too wrong
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday. The service was fantastic from start to finish, our server was Joao was brilliant and very attentive, super friendly.
We had the set menu and it was brilliant, the food is such a high standard here. Would recommend the trio of deserts (not the the set menu) as it was delicious, couldn't finish it so was given a doggy bag to take it home in.
Would love to take my family out for dinner here. Really nice atmosphere, food and staff.
Lovely restaurant overall, very expensive; and very disappointed that we didn't get window seating after specifically asking for it - and not told when booking that upstairs seating area closed on Sundays!¬ So very poor communication. Food was excellent, service acceptable.
