Gorgeous and yummy as usual. Only feedback is chilly seabass and potatoes.
Beautiful views and incredible food/service. A very nice experience.
Always a pleasure to dine at Geoffrey's. For special occasions or important business meals, you won't find a better place to enjoy "wow" food and service.
Oct 14 Two friends and I have celebrated our birthdays at Geoffreys and we have a great lunch. Our service was good. We however asked for black napkins and was that they didn’t have black napkins . So we left with ‘white fuzz in our black pants. It would also be nice if the menu was a little more varied. Every year the menu is the same. There are no specials to change things up. It is basically the same menu every year. We have come for at the very least 10 years. Perhaps however you do not care if we continue to come back and totally rely on the view and ambience of having a view the ocean.
Great ambiance, good food , no cheap but worth it for any occasion.
Our waiter Butch was amazing. He was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered food and drinks based on his recommendations and we weren’t let down. He even pointed out dolphins.
Amazing!! From the food and drinks to the genuine service, it was such a great experience. Can’t wait to go back.
Not kid friendly, only has noodles w/butter. The ambiance cannot be beat! Our waiter was friendly but did not take the time to get know who in our party was celebrating so when they brought out desserts not all celebrants could partake. One of them could not have gluten or dairy and the waiter brought out ice cream when they could have brought a sorbet.
Favorite restaurant! The views can not be beat, great ambience, food, and service.
Amazing setting. Beautiful outdoor dining
Terrific food and menu.
We arrived for a special birthday. We were told by the hostess that we would only be allowed to have the table for two hours. It was just a party of two and had somewhere else to go in just over an hour. Not sure why this was even mentioned to us. The table was beautiful with a great view. The waiter took our order and brought everything to the table in less than 15 minutes. Not sure why he didn’t first bring the appetizer, then the salad and then the main course. We noticed when he dropped off everything, that he brought the tuna tar tar NOT the seared ahi tuna that we ordered. When we brought it to his attention, he took it back and said he only hears tuna and assumed that it was the appetizer. He brought our entree to the table and it was good.
When I was brought the bill, the tar tar was still on the bill. Not wanting to make a big deal in front of my guest, I chose not to mention it.
Disappointed to say the least. Food was mediocre and service was definitely what it used to be.
Sorry, won’t be back.
Thanks Butch for excellent service. Had the table we wanted, food came quickly, and no one being rushed to make table available for next guest. A rare relaxing moment for us at a restaurant!
Lobster cobb salad was delicious, great view and ambience of laid back by the sea was great !
Chose this place to propose to my sweet and lovely lady and she said YES !!!
Very nice place, good food, amazing presentation, very polite and prepared waiters!! I just didn't appreciate a specific foreign re-interpreted recipe, cause of quite overcooked rice, something that should never arrive on a table!! Especially with those prices.
42nd anniversary dinner
It was an anniversary, and it was a perfect setting!
Gorgeous setting, great service, food pretty good but nothing spectacular and quite expensive.
leave me alone I never went to your establishment, never will now!!!
Server mumbled a lot, uninterested in serving us, and food came out cold.
I usually do not write reviews for restaurants, good or bad. However, I felt this one was necessary. We were in town and heard this was where to go for brunch. It was our anniversary so we went. The view is beautiful, staff was friendly. I ordered the crab eggs Benedict and my husband ordered filet w eggs. Both came w rosemary potatoes which were cold and dry. My husband’s food was good, but nothing special. My crabcake that came with my eggs (which were warm at best) was mostly bread filler, seemed like it was not fresh from there but maybe sent frozen. For the price we were paying I expected fresh, lumps of crabmeat. I could’ve gotten a crabcake w more crab at my local grocery store. We did not complain about the food as it was our anniversary and we were enjoying the location of the restaurant. However it was a very disappointing food experience.
Food was great! Espresso martinis for excellent
We had reservation for 6:30. We were not given a table till 6:55. The sun had already set. There is a reason people make reservation in advance for a certain time. All our birthday pictures are taken in the dark.
Not impressed, ordered a lobster quiche and took a bite and there was a lobster shell that literally almost cut my mouth and when I pointed out to the waiter he kind of laughed it off and said oh at least you know it’s fresh, I’ll just let the chef know, no apology.
We loved it overall. Hudson was our server and he was the best. Thank you for such a great experience.
Food was great. Service was so-so.
Wonderful sunset view and amazing food! Our waiter treated us an ice cream with lighted candle to celebrate my birthday. So sweet!!
Whenever I am up this way I make sure we can find time to have dinner here!! It is a pretty special place!!
Service was mediocre. Asked for no raisns in my salad...came with raisins but my salad was the best entree of three. The other people said they wouldn't return based on their food but we'd all give it another try and hope because it is so beautiful.
Stupendous view, great view and friendly staff. We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Geoffrey's and would return for a special occasion.
Very pretentious staff, long wait for service even though others that came in after us were serviced before we were. The tuna tartare was so fishy, we couldn't eat but a few bits. The ocean view was the only up side to this place.
The food, view and the service was excellent.
The cheesecake was the best ever!!!
A great place with great ambiance with sounds of the ocean.
My sisters first time to LA
We went for our 9th wedding anniversary and it was the ideal spot. Our reservation was for 6:30 pm and we requested the railing then arrived a little early and got the best seat in the place! It had been quite a few years since I'd been to Geoffrey's and I had forgotten how gorgeous the view is. Stunning sunset view, delicious food, great champagne. It was like we were on the Mediterranean or Hawaii, so romantic! The staff were also very down-to-earth and attentive. If I have one criticism, their signature cheesecake didn't seem like it had been prepared that day, maybe the day before, the crust was a little soggy. Otherwise, perfection!
Great meal, great service, great ocean view. The Filet steak and swordfish steak were excellent, as were the crab cakes. Loved the open air dining vibe.
we were seated at a table in the sun at 1 pm. needless to say the butter for the bread melted and the silverware was to hot to touch. we should have asked for a different table but they should have known that too. every other table was in the shade. the food was good, the view was great and the service was excellent. so next time ask for a table by the ocean and wait for it.
We had a great time at Geoffrey's.
Everything was perfect! The food is very good and the service great!
The patio is wonderful! With the sunset view!
