    A really enjoyable birthday lunch - the waiter was great, the food delicious and in the right quantities, and the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable.

    Lovely place and delicious food. We were eating earlier but we were given a lovely table in the bar area and stayed far longer than planned because it was such a lovely place

    We ate in the downstairs cafe. The welcome was nice by front of house but once seated we were forgotten! The waiting staff were very slow to take our drinks order, which they only did when they came over eventually to take our food order! A couple of meals (hot dog and shinkenknacker) were very good, but the Wiener schnitzel was awful - thin, tough, tasteless and coating coming off it (overpriced too at £29.50) and the curry wurst was a child’s portion! The children’s fish and chips was ok. The ladies toilets smell of sewage too - no, they hadn’t just had someone in who had “used” them! My daughter has been on a few occasions previously (and sat upstairs which she said is a lovely place to have cocktails) and when she’s been the toilets have smelt dreadful on each occasion - and yesterday was no different. For a family outing, it was, overall, a bit of a disappointment.

    Attentive service and lovely atmosphere. Food was tasty but all of the eggs Benedict/florentine etc were TINY for the cost

    I ordered one bottle of watwr and been served and charged two I did not order bread but been served and charged bread They charge 13.5 pct for the service ( it’s probably weitten in small letters somewhere) Food is ok but not fantastic So overall the itchy impression that they are more here to empty your pockets than fill your stomac with delicious meals So the 3 stars rating

    Lovely atmosphere - Grand Cafe level is beautiful, though First Floor is quieter. Food presentation is great and pretty tasty food, though portion size is a bit on the small size for the price. Service is great though. And would’ve been nice to see more German wines on the single glass list. Would be back again.
