This place is a hole in the wall, literally. We had a reservation for a time frame and wasn't accommodated until 30-45 minutes later, also several people had the same reservation time as us. Then to not receive our food an hour later. The owner didn't even want to take anything off the bill for the inconvenience. I would never come here again or refer this place to anyone.
We were greeted by Germano who was a really nice guy. Walked us in to the table we had reserved for Valentine’s Day. Service was good but the food took forever to come out. I got the veal which wasn’t very good. I took it in a book to go without more than a bite. My date had the salmon which she liked.
The tiramisu was excellent. The pear was average not great. Tasted a bit too bitter.
Did not get apps until 1.5 hours - after we asked owner. Only 2 of 3 delivered. And 3 of 4 entrees. Asked for the 4th and came after others done. 2 of the 4 entrees were wrong. Ate anyway because the whole thing took too long. Asked for bread 2 times and never got it. Nothing comped. No apologies. Not returning.
We went to Germano's Piattini for Valentine's day. We had a good opening, but our waiter was not good as he lost our order; but did not come back to us until 45 to 60 minutes later; even with asking others for assistance. At the same time, the food we did get was good.
Valentine’s Day dinner was disappointing. The food was decent, but nothing special. One of our dishes wasn’t hot. The staff was so disorganized and unprofessional it was comical. The best analogy would be the keystone cops. Yelling at each other, forgetting who had what table, making comments about internal workings out loud so customers could hear. It was kind of like a comedy show. It wasn’t a horrible experience, but there are so many other better Italian restaurants in Baltimore’s Little Italy.
Service was awful. From the time we sat down we were never greeted by a server. I had to call one over to us after 20 minutes because no one was attending to us and other couples. They were not even that busy.
Germano’s was exactly what we were looking for: delicious food served in a warm, inviting, unhurried atmosphere. I was in the mood for risotto. The only choice was vegetable but they gladly added shrimp- delicious! The tiramisu was the perfect ending to a lovely meal.
Went for lunch on Sunday. Waited for service as they did not open when they said they would
The food was delicious, and our server was nice and attentive, although he was a bit eccentric and a little unsure of the menu. The restaurant was very quiet and clearly it was a slow night. The vegetarian options were plentiful, and we had trouble choosing from many mouth-watering choices. To be completely honest, we were a little put off by the wobbly table, sticky floor, and overall casual decor for what we were expecting to be a fancier restaurant. However, we would likely return when willing to splurge on an expensive, but delicious meal. We were curious about the music venue upstairs, but there was no event that night and we never got a chance to talk to anybody about it.
We had a very large party for a special occasion. Food was excellent. Atmosphere great.
The service was slow. Too long between appetizers and dinner.
I wasn’t convinced when my Vegan friends wanted a place in Little Italy with Vegan and gluten free food, but this place had more than enough choices for every taste, meat eaters included, and the lightest homemade gnocchi I’ve ever had!!!! Everyone left happy and full!
Nice anniversary dinner with my daughter and son-in-law . Rick our waiter was spot ! Food was impeccable !
Best chicken cacciatore I have ever had! Waiter was attentive, just a great meal!
Service was slow. We had to wait for several dishes. Uneven delivery of food.
The food and the music venues are always super. Owners with is always sweet and attentive.
We had a 6:15 reservation and finally received the check at 8:45. We had only two courses in this period of time. The owner did nothing but make excuses for the abominable service. The food was delicious but certainly not worth the extraordinary wait.
A must when in the Inner Harbor! Food was outstanding! Service by Onisha was fabulous! Thank you for the most memorable meal!
Awful. Didn’t eat. Paid the bill and left.
It was a very nice place where you could drink at the bar, eat at a table aaY from the bar or enjoy music upstairs. Food was good and reasonable.
I love the mix of rustic and classy, the decor all over the wall, that there was enough light to see the menu, but not so much it was glaring. We had a wonderful experience and discovered a new wine! Montepulciano- delicious!
I would highly recommend the food except for the minestrone soup. It had no flavor. Also, do not take any children there as there are no kids menu choices. I made a reservation but they didn’t have it so we had to wait a while. The owner is very nice and attentive.
I wanted to explore more of Little Italy and picked this restaurant after searching a bit on Google. It’s very small. We were not impressed with the service- our waiter wasn’t very warm or welcome, not checking our reservation or welcoming us for Baltimore restaurant week or explaining the menu. Our food was decent but small. However, 2 tables near us both had terrible experiences- one sending back their food twice for being cold and tasteless, and the other table hadn’t received their food by the time we left and they arrived before us. With such a small restaurant and only a few patrons on a Sunday night I expected much more from the staff and service. We will not be returning here.
Service was really poor and ruined the meal. The food might have been okay if the service was at least decent but because the service was so bad it made the food worse. I worked for years in food service, (running restaurants, cooking, service, etc.) this was one of the worse restaurants I've ever eaten at. It ruined what was otherwise a good trip to Baltimore.
Great food, good service. Will definitely return.
Server seemed nervous...perhaps she was new. Excellent value/pricing.
We were really pleased with the quality and taste of the food - it was delicious. The wait staff was friendly, and the service was prompt, which was also a big plus.
A great little restaurant. We went on a Saturday night night and it wasn’t busy - meaning my dinner party could have conversations without yelling to be heard. Our waiter, Jason, was very knowledgeable and attentive. The ambiance was charming. The food was outstanding- everyone including my kids were happy. The restaurant was very considerate and accommodating to my children’s food allergies. Our next trip to Baltimore will likely include another visit to Germano’s.
They have a vegan menu. Great service and food. Would definitely go back.
The food was very good. The service was just okay. I'd still go back.
Always a great place to have a celebration! We had a table of six and were given excellent service and the food was fabulous. Save room for cheesecake for dessert!!!
The food was delicious and the service was stellar. Our waiter Jason was great. Will definitely go back -- wanna try other dishes!
Great Vegan options for a friends get together
Excellent service and food. We have dined here before and only restaurant in Little Italy we frequent.
The waiters were so unorganized. I food was undercooked, it was hot as balls inside and one waiter was deff on drugs because there was no way in the lords name that he was normally like the way he was acting 😩
Best friend in town.
The Porchetta was awesome, just like in Italia! The flatbread was also excellent.
Excellent food and welcoming, efficient staff. Noise level was low since we were there for an early lunch. With a full restaurant level would probably be louder. Second time there, will definitely visit again!
