Glass House Tavern
Our contemporary American menu that sets this restaurant apart from the other choices in the neighborhood. Fresh, seasonal ingredients are the emphasis here and the results are fantastic.
Horrible dining experience - had two young kids with us and we didn’t receive our food until sitting there for 1.5 hours. We were told five more minutes or less than five minutes over and over again. While the meal was on the house, the salmon came out cold, pizza was terrible, and overall was a negative experience.
Made reservations here based on prior recommendations, before seeing Hamilton. Everything was wonderful, from the service to the food to the wine. Highly recommend. We both selected the pre fixe dinner and both chose the salmon. Absolutely delicious.
Wet good and about the best in theater district
A hidden gem among the glare and glitter of Broadway. Excellent food and service- Glass House deserves a Tony Award!
Food tasted ok. Server didn't smile once and wasn't friendly at all.
The drinks were inventive and delicious. Food was well-prepared and seasoned and tasted good.
Although the bread was fresh, there was nothing distinctive or unusual about it; it was just a couple of different types of rolls in a basket.
atmosphere was wonderful. Server was personable and helpful. Food was delicious. Couldn't ask for more for a terrific brunch!
Great location near the theatres. Really liked the atmosphere. Was cozy and relatively quiet for being very full. Food was tasty. Great pre-theatre menu! Great price! The staff was very friendly. Will definitely go again when I am in New York City.
Portions were a little small for the price but the flavor was good.
Do not go pre theater. Took over 1 hour to get 3 simple salads pre Matinee. Almost late for the show. Food is good but give more than 2 hours for lunch.
Good pre-theater meal. We went as a group of 4. The food was very good-- not amazing, but very good.
Excellent place and excellent chef
100% recomendation
Celebrated Thanksgiving dinner at Glass House! The food was delicious and there was plenty of it! The price of the 3 course meal was affordable as well! The holiday decorations made it feel special as well! Overall wonderful experience and would highly recommend!
Thanksgiving Dinner! The waitress was wonderful and food delicious! Glad we found you on Open Table. It was a little crowded, but that’s to be expected.
Great service and wonderful food. Plates were hot when brought to table and staff very attentive
Conveniently located near the Broadway theaters. Great service and value for the area. Will definitely return
Our Server, Elsie, was a delight! Gracious, efficient and charming! Delicious lunch with good service!
Great place for brunch. Close to many theaters. We ate upstairs which was nice and quiet. We'll be back
Appetizers are amazing - complex, fantastic flavors. Cocktails were good. Entrees were dry and bland.
Nothing ordered was spectacular. They made it hard to accommodate our party of five. Acceptable if nobody can decide on a cuisine.
Very warm and receptive place to dine. Owner is often there to greet guests which is a very nice touch. Food is good, solid.
First time at Glass House Tavern and will definitely return. Our table was ready.
The service and food were great. Priced Fix dinner was good value.
We always have a great time when we go to The Glass House Tavern. Food , as always, was exceptional.
Went to Glass House Tavern for the first time. Went for lunch before theatre. We walked in and it was very crowded, but we were seated right away. They offered us a full menu as well as a pri
The Host at Glass House Tavern was wonderful! He made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Service was great and the food was delicious. It just became quite loud when it started to fill up.
Overall my dining experience was just ok. We wanted to do the prefixe pre-theater menu for the sake of time, but I could not due to dietary restrictions (I don't eat beef/pork),but the Waitress advised they could not remove the pork from the dish or even just plate the scallops alone. That was very annoying, so I opted to forego that menu and went with the special, grilled octopus...it was not good at all and I love grilled octopus, eat it all the time. This was very fatty and rubbery. My entree was supposed to be spicy, there was no spice at all. The zeppoli's were the only thing I enjoyed. I don't think I would ever eat there again.
Pre theatre menu was great. Service and food very good.
Nothing special about the place.
Excellent. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and food ordered.
Had lunch here before seeing waitress. Our reservation for 12 allowed us to have a great lunch prior to the show. Overall it was good. Our server was nice but a little anxious, maybe new. My friend had two mimosas spilled on her entire back and our server apologized. I thought it deserved more than that, perhaps a drink or lunch comped since she needed to spend the rest of the day, including seeing the show while drenched across her back with orange juice and champagne. I’m sure it wasn’t pleasant.
Entire experience was wonderful. Waiter & staff were very attentive without being intrusive . Food was delicious.
Great pre fix lunch
Very nice dining experience . Great food and service . Food was served so quickly we had plenty of time to get to our show . I even asked for a change in my order from the menu and the kitchen was flexible to accomadate me . Thank you !
If you are going to a show make sure you give yourself more than 2 hrs for dinner. Service is slow, slow, slow. I frequently went to this restaurant in the past but I just can’t trust the service and having to gulp down my meal. This has occurred more than once. It is to bad because the food is usually tasty.
An OK place very well located in the heart of the theater district.
Wonderful eggs Benedict prior to a matinee - great Theatre District restaurant. Service was very good but not rushed.A regular for me!
Waitress was outstanding. Handled special requests with care.
We had Sunday brunch at the Glass House Tavern. One of the guests in our party was late but our waiter was so accommodating. He was very attentive and was very friendly. Our mimosas and our brunch were all delicious. Great service, great food, great experience. I will be back.
The sausage terrine with tomato jam was outstanding! The pear "carpaccio," filet mignon, and warm chocolate cake with berries and vanilla gelato were very good. The noise level gets a bit high when the restaurant is full, but that's to be expected.
The prix fixe menu is an excellent value for Manhattan.
Glass House Tavern's location makes it exceptionally convenient for pre-theatre meals.
We went on a Saturday morning for pre-theatre brunch. It was excellent. Great food and service
