Service is poor, while the blonde lady was very pleasant, the gentleman that served us was rude and had a superior attitude. He needs to change the job, definitely not suited as a waiter.

Great views, delicious cocktails, much nicer than heading a little further up to the viewing platform. Money saved meant extra cocktails in Gong!

Great reception & entry on arrival

We had a midday booking hence nice & relatively quiet with no interruptions apart from attentive wait staff

Cloud cover such that views were limited

No fault of the organisation

Will be back with friends in tow !!

The venue was amazing and the views from the 52nd floor were stunning especially as it got darker. We arrived at 2100 and were given a window seat 5 mins in to our arrival.
The drinks are pricey ranging from £18 and above but it's what you kind of expect being the Shard.

Overall amazing experience and the service was second to none!

Highly recommend!

I came to Gong to celebrate my 50th birthday.
We were escorted to our window table pre-booked with a Bollinger champagne at £150 when people arrived directly without booking and enjoyed a table next to us with 1 cocktail and 1 diet coke!
Our waiter Manuel was not polite, neither friendly. We had to request snack with our drinks after 20mn being seated. We had to pour our champagne most of the time! He was much nicer to the two female clients who sat next to us.
I would have taken a bottle of LP champagne instead, saved £60 and enjoyed it more than Bollinger, as it looked like we were the only one by the window to have purchased the package.
I’m a Hotel GM who just relocated to London and after such a poor customer service and waiter’s attitude, I will never return.

Great views and cocktails were lovely. Little noisy and crowded around the bar though which was distracting. It did clear out though as the evening went on which made for a much more relaxing experience

I took a friend who was visiting from Australia.
We arrived at our table 15 minutes early for a 17:45 booking. I was aware that we had the table for 90 minutes at the time of making the booking.
At 18:50, when I asked for another round of drinks, I was told that we only had 10 minutes left on the booking and would I have time for another drink.
When paying £90 for two gin and tonics and two rum and cokes (including a £10 service charge), I don’t expect to be rushed away from a pre booked table 15 minutes early.

Not a great table. Waitress was good. Then we were swapped to a waiter. He asked if we would like another bottle of wine between 5 of us with 30 minutes remaining. I said yes. That though never turned up. When I asked where it was with 15 minutes left on the table I was told we didn’t have time for it now. We left soon after and the waiter had to remove the “optional” service charge. The drinks were ok. Olives ok. Just in the end a poor experience and very arrogant service. Poor show.

We were given a window table which was a bonus. It was a little cramped as my seat was jammed against a large sofa behind it. The welcome was very friendly, but we were not offered drinks for about 10 minutes. Being cocktails, they took some time to come after we had ordered them but I guess that was to be expected. We were given some snacks in the way of nuts and olives, which were very tasty. Otherwise, it is a great bar with an amazing view and I highly recommend it.

Brilliant bar, we didn't have food but I couldn't not select it on the review so I put 5 star as I can imagine it would be! The view is fantastic, drinks are lovely, excellent choice, such a nice place to sit and relax, you must visit the toilet too to sit on the heated toilet seat, everything about this place is amazing!

Lovely experience at an incredible venue and would highly recommend to anyone. The window table rotation policy is brilliant...we were sat at an inner table initially and placed our orders for our first drinks. The chap who took our orders returned around 5 minutes later saying he had a window table available for us which was awesome :) views are as you'd expected 50+ floors above London, absolutely stunning. Drinks were lovely and very well presented. Some people baulk at the price but myself and my other half enjoyed this venue at a window seat for almost 2 hours, had a cocktail each and shared a nightcap for less than £70. Not bad value all things considered!

The only thing good about this place is the view. The ambience is nice and fancy but we had to wait 30 minutes downstairs before we got in (although we had a reservation!) and the cocktails are very mediocre and expensive.

Although we had a wonderful time, at one point my mother wanted a pot of tea. We had spent money on champagne, but when we asked for a pot of tea we were told that it wasn’t on offer despite afternoon tea being served at the same time. While I appreciate it was not on the menu I believe that sometimes exceptions should be made and customer service should prevail in a 5star establishment.

Initially service was very poor, host was busy chatting to other staff and not taking note of patrons in section overlooking train tracks despite it being half empty except for a large table with free flowing champagne (host must of been counting on a good tip) we were was placed in a corner on low stools so no thought to the fact that we were older guests, waited 10mins for first drinks order to be collected, finished these within 10 mins and then waited another 25 mins of being ignored before finally asking to be moved, I know this sounds entitled but if we paying £200 + tip for 8 drinks and service then that service better be exceptional, I work hard for my money and this was a treat for our 27th anniversary, honestly a visit to the wc was more of a thrill due to heated seats. After being moved to a table with proper chairs, the new hostess made sure we were well cared for and she was the epitome of excellence, we would go back but I’d specify chairs with backs and a designated area overlooking the river (if possible).

Although we booked we found the service to be very poor and was put in a corner even though those in front of us had not booked and had a much better seating view. The bar tender forgot our order twice and to be honest the overall experience for the prices was just poor.

Superb view coupled with superb service, we decided to eat in the restaurant after an hour in the bar and we were escorted to the restaurant table directly and our bottle of wine transferred directly to the restaurant as well. Table at the window again and 5 star service, the sushi in the bar was a little overpriced but very good.

Booked a table to celebrate a friend's birthday with a few drinks. The view was stunning, decor was stylish and the service immaculate. Drinks were excellent and very much worth the price considering the setting and atmosphere. Complimentary savoury snacks were also a nice touch and went well with the cocktails. Will definitely be coming again.
