We had a great experience, loved the cocktails and especially loved the view
Really unhappy with my overall experience with the staff team at Gong. Requested a window seat, and when I was stuck in traffic I called to tell them I am still coming but may be 10mins late. They said no problems
Came in 10 mins late, no window seat available. And was sat bang In the middle of the restaurant, people passing by and and walking around us. I told them I’m not happy with this, are you going to move us? As I Have requested a window seat. They told me there’s nothing available
And only when I threatened to leave did they move us, the waiter then came to our table and said “I saved you” saved me from what exactly?! Not having a drink at your restaurant? Was extremely unprofessional for such a high end restaurant/bar
Sat down at the new table and the group behind us were so loud, screaming and shouting like animals. And staff didn’t even attempt to calm them down or ask them to leave as this is ruining the ambience and the atmosphere that as a customers you are paying so much for. Wanted to book for New Years but since the staff are so laid back and complacent I would not visit here again.
If you expect special cocktails with a stunning view then you,ll be disappointed.
View stunning but that’s where it stops
For what we paid the cocktails were a great disappointment
We were a party of 4 and just had one each then not impressed so just had gin and tonic for our next drinks
Shame because we was looking forward to the experience
The manager did come over and see us not the we complained just said that we had had better and he was very concerned
I think they need to learn from a bar such as Gold on 27 at Burj Al Arab Dubai
Such an amazing evening. Incomparable you’re anywhere else I’ve tried in the city. Only thing is prices were marked up a lot (£12 bottle of wine for £50+) however I think it was completely worth it to go in relax in such an exquisite setting.
The most amazing view in London.
The cocktails were average.
The food and view was amazing, a well finished bar definitely be back again.
Be warned - they expect a £30 per head minimum spend that is hidden in the fine print after you book. A really bad surprise and poor customer experience Just be up front during booking! Badly handled by their service staff too. As for bar, it could do with less posers taking endless selfies but that’s society’s fault. Ordinary bar decor. Cool 80s ambient synth music evoking a bit of a blade runner vibe. Nice views of London. Great inventive cocktail menu that will appeal to serious cocktail drinkers but it is expensive. Obviously part of what you pay for is the view. I don’t think it’s worth it. And poor customer experience deserves a big thumbs down. Much better bars further down the Southbank for cocktails and go up the Tate blavatnik building for nice views instead. Give this one a miss.
Brilliant amazing place to chill and have wonderful cocktails - best Negroni in London!!
Excellent service from first to last contact.Worth going if only for the views👍
Great place for a quiet drink. Beautiful views and good staff.
Fantastic service, chilled atmosphere and unbelievable views, highly recommended, cant wait to go back
Absolutely amazing service at the nicest bar in London. The view is breathtaking and bar itself is pure luxury. Cocktails are amazing and well prepared.
Absolutely stunning views! Great drinks and amazing service from Emmanuel! 5/5 :)
The views of this bar were outstanding!
Considering it was during the lockdown period, there were great tunes and ambience with outstanding service from Fabio. Went for my husbands 40th and they all wished him happy birthday without prompting.
Hope to go here at Xmas for my daughters 18th too.
Definitely somewhere to visit for a special occasion.
Such an amazing experience! Service was brilliant and the view is magnificent.
Pretty awesome. Staffs was very helpful and the food was good. Love it
The service was amazing! The presentation was incredible. I am wanting to go again
Some loud noises, but overall enjoyable experience. Cocktail presentation could be better
Such a great afternoon, we had an amazing time and would definitelt. One back
Wonderful from start to finish. Very attentive polite staff. Drinks were amazing. Had lovely table. Couldn’t fault anything.
Fantastic service and felt extremely safe and secure with the measure in place
Our waiter Manuel was fantastic and knowledgeable
Had a great chat with the manager Luca as well, such a lovely chap!
Would definitely recommend!!!!
Banging but bit on the dear side, good night though
Very good service and great food and drinks.
Excellent experience, amazing cocktails! Highly recommend the waiters, very knowledgable and made great suggestions about what to try!
Amazing views , amazing staff and venue
An absolutely amazing place with top views, can’t wait to return again in a few weeks. Thank you 🙏
Turned up and were showed to our table. Seemed like we had the worst table in the whole bar but that was fine we were given some complimentary nuts and then ordered a £20 cocktail each. This was fine but then no body came to check on us at all after this, we finished our drinks for 40 minutes plus and no one came to offer us any more drinks. It got to the point where we had 20 minutes left until our booking ran out. My partner was very angry and went to tell someone that no one had served us to which the woman said ‘sorry I will tell my colleague’. The waiter came over and said if we ordered more drinks he would let us finish them and then leave. We just asked for the bill. They added on 12.5% service charge I’m not sure what for the service was awful.
Overall pricey, this is my second time at the shard and I’m sure the prices have gone up!If you do not get a window seat then the views are limited.
Amazing views. Amazing cocktails. Amazing service. But be prepared to spend some cash. Great for an occasion. Only negative was the allocated time (90mins) was only just long enough for a cocktail each and bottle of champagne. Felt rushed at the end to finish drinks and vacate table. 2 hours would be a better time slot.
An absolute must. Always the best choice.
Excellent service and food
I would really recommend it
Had a great time. Was able to stay longer than the normal time limit, which was nice.
I had a great time. It was a fantastic experience. Thank you
What can I say, first time myself and wife have tried an upmarket establishment and could not be more impressed. The manager allowed us in early despite showing up 20 min early, staff were very attentive and served us within minutes. They even let us finish our drinks and being last to leave and past closing there was no hardship from the staff. The facilities are spotless and the table and view we got was exceptional. Yes prices are expensive but you are paying for the luxury and its like having a dubai hotel in Central London. You have to try this place even if its once in your lifetime especially at night. Once again thank you to the staff you really did make our weekend and night.
Asked to move to a different table facing the window was told no because of COVID, but another couple was on table in the middle and they were allowed to move to another table facing the window, no questions ask seems to be if your face fits!!!!
We had a lovely experience with the kids and the food was absolutely stunning.
A great experience, with efficiency on arrival and the location of the table. The waiter was friendly and good conversationalist.
Booked this well in advance 4 weeks to going for my wife’s birthday. We were to dine downstairs at Ting and then finish dinner and come to to GŎNG for drinks. As requested at Ting for a window table we received a window table. The same request was made to GŎNG. While down at Ting due to the slow service the dinner took longer which made us worry that we will miss our booking for GŎNG, we mentioned this to the waiter who said he will talk to his manager to see if our booking for GŎNG can be moved half hour to 8.45. At this point we had finished our mains and been waiting 20 minutes to hear back of anything, we cut short our dinner at Ting so we can make it upstairs in time for 8.15 . We asked for the bill at Ting and headed upstairs to GŎNG. We arrived at exactly 8.15 for our booking and the receptionist said our booking was moved to 8.45 as per downstairs Tings request, we explained we cut our dinner short as we didn’t hear back from waiter to make in time for 8.15, she wondered around for a moment as if looking for our table and then took us around and sat as at a table not by the windows. Felt really annoyed as I booked 4 weeks in advance surely they could have reserved a table and we really went up there to take some pictures and enjoy the sunset over London with a mocktail, we don’t drink alcohol. A seat came available by the window so we asked if we can be moved and we’re told they were reserved, when coming in we saw some seats that were free by the windows unoccupied which were then given to a group of 3. At this point I was fuming and just wanted to get out out after spending under 20 minutes in there we paid £18 FOR DRINKS AND SERVICE CHARGE!!!! when leaving my wife spoke the receptionist about me booking 4 weeks in advance and she explained as they were told by downstairs we were going to be late they gave our window table away to some else, this made me really upset as I was on time for booking, another lady came over and said we don’t do such requests
Perfect for drinks/food with a view. Poolside seating is also a great setting. Drinks are a little more expensive than other places of similar quality. The waiting staff go above and beyond for all your needs.
