Lovely staff. Great view. It was my son's 18th and our wonderful waiter moved us to a window table and gave us a free glass of champagne each. Thank you for making his evening so special.

Really good atmosphere despite being table service only, staff couldn’t do enough for you and were really knowledgeable, drinks were amazing and for the area the prices were as expected. 100% worth it for celebrations, would return

Arrived earlier than planned for reservation after having dined at Ting - offered table early which was great. Service from there on in went down hill unfortunately. Ordered 1st round of drinks which took over 20minutes to arrive after having to ask waiter where our drinks where twice. Seemed busy but not overly busier so didn’t understand why it took so long for 2 cocktails to be made. Had a couple other rounds of drinks after this but felt having waited so long for the 1st drinks ruined the atmosphere for us. With it having been a week night too it has definitely put us off returning at the weekend when it would most likely be busier. But overall the cocktails and champagne do taste amazing and the views are fab

Booked a table in the bar and instead was put in a side room by the pool (slightly weird).

Due to being by the pool, drinks were served in plastic cups - not what you expect when the drinks at £20 a go.

Waiter was overly familar. When asked if he would mind taking a photo, the response was "would you mind holding my tray".

When I made a quiet complaint to the manager about the pool location / plastic cups, I was told that "next time, if you want to guarantee a table in the main bar, you should book the Bollinger package sir." I suggested that they should notify guests when they book that they might be placed by the pool sipping drinks out of plastic cups as that would not be what a customer would think they were signing up for.

Views: obviously outstanding.

Overall experience; poor; won't be going back.

Bar with fantastic view. I asked for a window seat and we did have a window seat. A shame that it was inly 1.5 hours slot we had to down the wine towards the end.

Perhaps our expectations were too high but we had hoped for an unforgettable, high end experience and came away with the impression that it was only the views from the 52nd floor that delivered. Given Gong is part of the Sharngri-La Hotel we had expected a commesurate level of service and attention to detail. We arrived at the first level and had to wander around looking for the lift to take us to the top - no one to guide us. On arrival, we were shown to our table and were disappointed to find ourselves squeezed onto 4 small stools in the middle of the room when there was ample space in window seats. We asked if we could be moved into the empty window seats, there being quite a few and despite the guidance on reservation that tables cannot be reserved, it seemed they had been. It was only our lovely waiter realising it was my birthday who eventually moved us into what had been an empty area for over an hour, so we had our last 30 minutes in comfortable seating. In the meantime we had frustratingly seen people arriving and going into the window seats, sometimes couples seated in areas for 6 people. The cocktail menu was rather uninspiring and the brightly coloured, red sugar sprinkled all down the outside of my champagne flute ended up on my fingers/dress; my husband's mojito was mediocre, the glass seeming to be full of ice more than anything else. Value for money? No. An exoerience, yes, but one that with more care could deliver a much better one given the potential to be incredible. (I should add I have had to rate the food to get to this page but we didn't eat in Gong).

Obnoxious and unhelpful staff. I booked ahead of time and asked for a table with a view as my friend had just got engaged. We got plonked down right by reception and next to the bar with no view. I asked the staff if we could move and explained about what I had requested as my reservation. They said there were people ahead of us who they needed to move. They didn’t reseat anyone who was already there and proceeded to sit all need customers who entered the bar at window seats. I know they were trying to make a point and they ruined what should have been a special and memorable occasion. For £30 minimum p/person you would expect better. This was my second visit, but never again. Be warned they will treat people walking in much better than anyone who books ahead, just to prove they can. Wow great customer service in a pandemic, many businesses are thankful for the custom. Take your money to someone who cares.

Fab, got a table by the window, stunning view. Service was good, prices are high obviously but think of it as paying for the location and view as well as the drink and it’s fine. Ordered the fries as well - £15 but large dish and were tasty.

It had a really nice view of you can sit near the window side . Depending on the time and the day, it may be a little loud but not so loud as you can’t hear the voice of your company .

I’ve been here before and had a blast, but this was a completely different experience.

To be honest, we felt like we were in the way and weren’t supposed to be there. It was busy by the toilets (womens) and lifts given the sky pool and it was hard to maintain social distancing.

The staff who we did talk to were welcoming in the entrance.

We only got to order 2 drinks and were consistently reminded that we only had the seat for 1.5hours.

In summary, it was quite pricey but that’s what we’d expected and were happy to oblige, but in truth we were made to feel pretty much like that scene from Pretty Woman when she is turned away from the shop or made to feel like she doesn’t belong - which was awful and I was particularly upset as I booked this for my 30th birthday with 2 friends and being made to feel like this was awful.

After all that, I’d only recommend to see the view for a small time or potentially a business meeting.

My previous visit was during the week and was a completely different experience - kind, welcoming, great food and drinks and happy to help and make us feel welcome.

Outstanding views of London in a welcoming layout, however the front of house was awfully dressed (a dress that didn’t fit and was too long for her to move), the cocktails do not justify their price, extremely sweet and with just a little of very good and well known champagne and wine. The food is good but overpriced, it is not all right to triple prices without adding value! The service is a hit and miss and you’ve got to chase your waiter. There is a dress code...but many seem to get through ignoring it making the whole experience “cheap” but expensive.

Fabulous place with a wonderful view, we didn't eat, we were just served nibbles (nuts) with our drinks. We requested a window seat and were lucky to get one (not usually requestable) but everyone gets a fab view the way the bar is set out. Really lovely end to a wonderful day. The only downside for us was the hefty £30 minimum spend per person plus 12.5% service charge making a minimum bill for 2 £67.50! This wouldnt be too bad if you were having some food here aswell as a drink - which I might consider next time...we had already eaten lunch though..but a fab bar, fab view, fab decor and fab waiter....just a small wait for a cocktail!!

Really unhappy with my overall experience with the staff team at Gong. Requested a window seat, and when I was stuck in traffic I called to tell them I am still coming but may be 10mins late. They said no problems
Came in 10 mins late, no window seat available. And was sat bang In the middle of the restaurant, people passing by and and walking around us. I told them I’m not happy with this, are you going to move us? As I Have requested a window seat. They told me there’s nothing available
And only when I threatened to leave did they move us, the waiter then came to our table and said “I saved you” saved me from what exactly?! Not having a drink at your restaurant? Was extremely unprofessional for such a high end restaurant/bar

Sat down at the new table and the group behind us were so loud, screaming and shouting like animals. And staff didn’t even attempt to calm them down or ask them to leave as this is ruining the ambience and the atmosphere that as a customers you are paying so much for. Wanted to book for New Years but since the staff are so laid back and complacent I would not visit here again.

If you expect special cocktails with a stunning view then you,ll be disappointed.
View stunning but that’s where it stops
For what we paid the cocktails were a great disappointment
We were a party of 4 and just had one each then not impressed so just had gin and tonic for our next drinks
Shame because we was looking forward to the experience
The manager did come over and see us not the we complained just said that we had had better and he was very concerned
I think they need to learn from a bar such as Gold on 27 at Burj Al Arab Dubai
