About Goodman City
Goodman specialises in steak. Our chefs source the best beef from both sides of the Atlantic – from USDA corn-fed herds to grass-fed Scottish beef, grain-fed Irish Angus and rare breed Belted Galloway from Devon – to present a uniquely British interpretation of a New York grill. All of our meat is matured on-site – you can see it for yourself in our glass-walled dry-ageing room – then we cook it over charcoal for a fabulously smoky flavour. Couple that with one of London’s largest collections of American red wine and you’ve a match made in carnivore heaven. Our City of London venue is just round the corner from the Bank of England.

Goodman City Ratings and Reviews
We met for a drink in the bar, which was really nice. Then moved to the table and had shared starters and shared mains with sides.
Really really good food. The staff were very helpful and generous but a bit slow in getting everything out / keeping glasses filled.
Great venue! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates good food and wine in a tasteful surrounding.
Equally good for a get together with friends and family, business meetings, or special occasions. There is always a great atmosphere in the restaurant , and the knowledgable staff are always cheerful and attentive .
The food was fantastic, we had a very knowledgable waiter who helped us to decide which cuts to order. The meat literally melted in your mouth. I went with my husband and my 13 and 15 year olds boys for my husbands birthday. The restaurant had a great relaxed atmosphere.
I've been lucky enough to eat at all of London's specialised steak houses with Goodman's being my last in that list. Was it worth the wait? ABSOLUTELY! By some margin, the best steak I've ever eaten! The wine list was a suitable accompaniment to the meal - my only gripe was the atypical 300% markup unfortunately, a lot when you're buying wine normally £35 on the high street... Fun evening nonetheless with the steak the star of the show - T-Bone medium rare = perfection.
I went here for dinner on Monday evening with friends. We had the bone in ribeye and chateaubriand between 4 of us (approx. 350g each of meat), along with truffle chips, creamed spinach and macaroni cheese.
The steak was absolutely beautiful and some of the best I've ever had. We opted for medium rare and they were perfectly cooked. The sides were also lovely, no shortage of truffle in the chips and I was a fan of the creamed spinach.
There was a very vast wine menu (not the cheapest but if you've looked at the menus online before you'll know this so no surprises).
Our waitress was absolutely amazing, very attentive, explained everything, brought the board over and talked us through options for the group. Couldn't fault the service at all.
Lovely restaurant, would definitely recommend for a special occasion.
