Dining at Graffiti is not pretentious, nor is it extravagant. It is relaxed and informal and provides a wonderful setting for a variety of special occasions. The vibrant décor of the award-winning restaurant lends itself effortlessly to business lunches and intimate dinners. Both look out over the large south-facing terrace and landscaped gardens, perfect for pre-dinner drinks or al fresco dining.
Food was good/average and the restaurant could have been a bit cleaner. The waiter was good too and helpful. Slight problem with the bill at the end which was sorted quickly.
We come to Graffiti quite often as we live fairly close. Until now we've enjoyed the experience.
Major problem this time was a young waiter who seemed to lack training in what she was supposed to do. I could go into detail but the wine bottle took over 10 mins to arrive and she had clearly not been told to invite a diner to 'taste' before it was poured for all. New staff training, please!
Excellent service and frkendly staff. Food good but not outstanding. Main criticism was that the menu in the website was completely different from the one at the restaurant and had fewer vegetarian options. They really need to update their website!
The fish platter to start was excellent, the main course was pretty good. The service from our waiter, Floris, was magnificent. The restaurant overall needs atmosphere which was lacking
Very good as always, staff deserve a special mention.
Great venue, will go again and recommend to friends and family
Really enjoyed the the whole time.
Lovely meal and thanks for the service
Having been here before (about 18 months ago), my sister and I decided to return and book for lunch on a Saturday....and we were not disappointed. The staff were extremely attentive (but not overly so), the menu selection was good and the food very well presented and tasty. We will definitely return again. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and accommodating, as well as very friendly. We would definitely completely recommend this venue!
This really is a lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting. The Sunday menu was interesting and of reasonable value and there is a good wine list. My wife choose the ham hock terrine and pork belly; I chose the chicken salad and sardines. I later added a side order of vegetables. The starters were of considerable size, well presented and very tasty. The pork belly was of similar size but there were too few sardines. The vegetables didn't arrive although we did get a side salad. I questioned this and was told that was all there was. It was unfortunate as most of the meal was very enjoyable. The New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc was excellent. We will return!
I treated a friend to lunch for her birthday. I have eaten there before and always enjoyed the experience. The day we went there was a wedding at the Felix. No doubt that is the reason why we waited an hour before our starters (hummus salad) arrived, but there was no explanation or apology for the delay. Luckily we had no pressing engagement afterwards, and my friend still enjoyed her treat. I was, however, disappointed with the service.
Very nice dinner in beautiful surroundings . Lovely view onto gardens to look at . The French waiter was really nice and helpful , fire was on and added a nice touch to the atmosphere . The food was lovely and wine good choice as well . Would difinetly recommend this dining experience
Quiet lunch sitting. Service a bit slow but head waiter very helpful and friendly Food was well prepared - I especially enjoyed the octopus starter. Mains took a while to come out and the duck confit was a bit too heavy, but then it is comfort food on a cold miserable day! Desserts were wonderful and chef made a birthday dessert especially for my daughter.
All in all, extremely good value for Cambridge. Highly recommended.
Having dined in a London Michelin star restaurant just a few days before, this was better. I'm just sad I live 100 miles away as I'd like to work my way through the menu. The Venison was 'perfect'
We had the best dinner after a harrowing drive from London! First of all, the staff is very welcoming and the decor is hip, yet lovely at the same time. The pinks and purples make the room rosy but not prissy. The starter of beef carpaccio was delicious and the dill sauce was a bright, tasty new flavor with the beef. The risotto is great vegetarian option and perfectly seasoned. The partridge was cooked to perfection with an amazing puree of white beans that were velvety smooth. The cheese course and a glass of port were the perfect end to a wonderful meal.
The food and service were both amazing. The dining room was lovely, although had it not been raining we would have preferred to sit in the lovely garden patio.
Ask Lazlo at the bar to make you their famous Champagne cocktail - he is such a great bartender. True perfectionist.
We had him make our favorite smokey martini and it was perfect!
Chose this as a solution to Saturday night. Plenty of space so managed a table very easily. This was nice as the food was a very high standard. The hotel is such a great place will consider staying here too next visit to Cambridge.
Overall we had a pleasant evening because the restaurant location and food is good. The service leaves alot to be desired however. Our table was waited on by three different individuals which seemed to confuse our order. We asked for our starter to share which then translated into them bringing us only one main course as well (assuming that we would share everything??). When they eventually did bring the main courses they didn't cook the steaks quite right and forgot our side dishes. After everything, when we asked for some water there were no glasses on the table and it took us a couple of attempts to get the waiter to understand we didn't want to drink straight from the jug. Anyway, overall the service added some more entertainment to the evening and the menu and food is nice. In summary, Graffiti is a bit like a high end Faulty Towers!
Good food and service but very lacking in atmosphere.
Normally good - as was my daughter's cod. The Venison was very average - bitter - although I don't know why. Didn't want to complain because it was a special occasion with my daughter.
Our second visit to Grafitti didn't disappoint. We were given a very pleasant table overlooking the grounds and were very well looked after by all the staff. The menu was varied and the food was served quickly; presented well and was very tasty and well cooked. The price of the wine was a little steep and the cost of the 2 course package also but, overall, we were very pleased.
Very nice restaurant with bar and option to dine outside on the terrace; only problem with that being that strangely there is no outdoor lighting! The food was served in decent portions with extra vegetables, potatoes etc available to order. All of he food was nicely presented, well cooked and tasty. We took cheese and biscuits back to our room and if I have to grumble then this is it, there were 4 tiny slithers of cheese and just 4 home made crackers, two of which were soft. We were already quite full up so it didn't really bother us but otherwise I would have complained at a cost of £9.75. Will certainly use this hotel and restaurant again.
An excellent venue. Superb food and excellent service. Very good wine list and a fantastic ambience. Not cheap but not expensive either. Portions are perfect and presented well.
Food that is fitting of much more expensive restaurants. From starter through to desert this could be one of the best meals we have eaten. Great flavours, textures, combinations, fantastically presented and great wine choice. We have eaten in some very highly thought of restaurants and this on the night equalled them on the food front.
The main course of duck breast was excellently prepared. Nice colour scheme inside with an ambient feel and comfortable background music. Dessert very rich and tasty, if a little on the small side.
All in all, would highly recommend a visit :)
We visited the Felix Hotel in Cambridge and enjoyed a relaxed Sunday lunch at Graffiti it's stylish and well appointed restaurant. Food was good value for money with friendly, attentive service. An ideal venue if visiting Cambridge, about a mile from the city centre with plenty of parking.
Delightfully located and looking lovely, we ate here for the first time on Sunday lunchtime. The menu wasn't vast but there were nice options and everything was beautifully prepared and presented (and reasonably priced too)
Unexpected find on the outskirts of Cambridge. Lovely staff who looked after us and delivered a beautiful cooked breakfast .
We booked the table on Friday evening for the following night via an app. Within an hour the hotel informed us that the table wasn't available at that time, as they had lots of staying guest wanted the 8pm slot. We decided to opp for a 6:45pm slot.
The facilities like park was ample and arrived and shown straight into the dinning area. Which was spacious enough and not crammed in. The staff were very polite and welcoming. The food was well presented and cooked to my taste and what would be considered unflawed.
By 8pm the dining area was packed and the number of staff were under a great deal of pressure but still very polite and helpful.
We weren't rushed of the table as you are in some London establishments.
Overall a lovely experience.
We had dinner, bed and breakfast. Very reasonable price, dinner was very good, in particular the starter and dessert were sensational. Very convenient few mins on the bus to Cambridge, would highly recommend for a night away.
Tasteless food, screaming babies, shabby tables, 75th birthday spoilt. Worst dining experience we have had for ten years.
Excellent for 3 course Sunday lunche with value under £20 and tasteful. Outdoor verandah in summer makes it a favourite spot. Comes recommended.
Sat nav postcode on the Hotel Felix website took us to a new housing estate one road across! Ringing the hotel to ask for directions didn't help. Other diners had ended up on this estate too, so staff really should have been aware of the issue.
Front-of-restaurant staff member was generally disinterested: didn't greet us properly, took ages to bring us the menu, didn't come to take our order (we had to call someone else over for this) & spilled water on our table but did not clean it up until we asked her to. Worst of all, one of our party had to wait for their starter to arrive & it took SO long that the rest of us had finished ours by then! Our dessert & coffee orders weren't taken properly either; we were brought things we didn't order!
Although the venue is good and the service reasonable the portion size was tiny. My pudding wasn't even very good and it was all grossly overpriced. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was my birthday and the meal was disappointing overall.
Surprising secret within Hotel Felix. Excellent food, many staff provided good service. Modern decor.
We went to Graffiti's in Cambridge. Lovely evening and excellent, perfectly presented food. Attentive service as usual.
Lunch for four on Saturday was extremely enjoyable. The service is spot on - attentive but not too intrusive. We ate from the set menu, which although limited to two or three options per course - pleased all our palates and was very tasty. Would go again and would recommend for an occasion
A well balanced menu with good choice. Food well prepared and presented. I like the modern art and the way the restaurant has been decorated. An enjoyable lunch time experience.
Graffiti at Hotel Felix in Cambridge was a great place to be for lunch yesterday. The tables in the dining room are well spaced and we were able to enjoy lovely views of the sun-drenched gardens. The lunchtime menu was good value. We both thought that the starter of mussels in cream with bacon and leeks was superb. The flavours were great and the mussels were fat and juicy. The salmon main course was okay, but did not reach the heights of the starter.
We had a lovely meal at Graffiti, the food was well cooked, really tasty and well presented. I had the venison carpaccio for starter which was great, but needed a bit more Roquefort. Of all the mains, I was disappointed with mine (the special of bream), which was supposed to come with prawns, baby squid, spinach and crab-filled mashed potato. Unfortunately the piece of bream was small, and I could only find one piece of squid amongst all the prawns; the spinach was a bit minimal too.
Excellent. Will go again.
