Grato's menu offers locally sourced ingredients of the highest quality, and include fresh pastas, a variety of rotisserie items, small plates and wood fired pizza. The Mediterranean design feature open airy spaces, large windows, wood, Cararra marble, iron and stoneware (custom pieces handcrafted by local artisan potter Ronald Shaw) to create a welcoming, approachable ambiance. Gracious service standards evoke a feeling of familiarity. An open kitchen with a wood-fire oven and large rotisserie add to the warmth, and provide an entertaining focal point.

If they had a “MAYBE” for recommendations, I’ve may have chosen that. Food quality was was fair, service was impersonal, ambiance was nice.

We were on vacation and visited twice. We were with three other couples and ordered different dishes to share. The roasted cauliflower was fabulous. The pizzas, especially the crust, were wonderful. The gemelli pasta (cacio e pepe) was the best I’ve ever had. Not a single shared dish to criticize. All in all, a great experience and reasonably priced. We will be back the next time we visit.

Had to wait 15 min past reservation time. Biggest issue was server dropped a pizza utensil and tray on my wife, got food on her jacket and in her wine. Didn’t seem to care. Didn’t want to make a big deal. Disappointing.

The noise level is kind of high. Especially in the middle of the room. Food is good, ambiance is good too. Waiter could have been a little more attentive..we will come back

We didn’t expect the noise level seated in the back near rest room. Lots of families with kids. I love kids but the noise/activity level brought down the experience. I suggest not seating “non-kid” groups in between that chaos.

We were at first seated all the way in back by bathrooms where it seemed that most of the screaming children were seated. To say the least, this was not starting off as an enjoyable experience for my out of town guest and me. When we requested to move to the adult section, the snooty hostess denied our request despite many open tables. After not taking no for an answer, we were finally moved but this definitely put a damper on our experience.

You should hire front end people who actually like their job and realize that this is all about the customer experience.

Was particularly impressed with their attention to cleanliness during this time. Menus were wiped down with Clorox after each use as was the toilet after each use.

Thank you, Aaron. In addition to our already strict safety protocols, Grato has added further measures that put us over and well above all CDC Guidelines for Business. As always, our guests’ & employees’ well-being is our top priority. We have also launched Curbside Pickup with our entire menu available for those guests who prefer to dine at home!

Absolutely excellent! The food is always exceptional and tonight was no different. We got the shrimp scampi app, the snapper and the braised short ribs. Wine was perfect. Dessert was creative. Server was patient and attentive. We could eat there every night. The perfect restaurant. Thanks so much!

Grato is great! The menu is fabulous! And the food is beyond creative and delicious! We shared the cauliflower cacio y pepe to start and loved it! My friend had the eggplant lasagna and thought it was among the best she’s ever had. I ordered one of the home-made pasta dishes and wanted to lick my plate! The restaurant is filled to capacity and overflowing with energy. The service was friendly, professional, and attentive. Our waiter helped us to order and didn’t steer us wrong! It was a great night with a memorable meal. We can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I always come to Grato for brunch. Upon arrival we first sat at a high table top where the waitress asked if we had been to Grato before. I told her we had been for Brunch, and she stated well dinner with us is more expensive. My husband and I are African American. I was extremely offended. My husband asked for our table to be moved and our new waitress was amazing. I hate that our initial waitress put such a bad taste in our mouths, because I loved coming to Grato.

Always enjoy this restaurant. Food very good and service with a smile. However beware the Valet Parking attendants. Very rude experience the other night which I reported to the manager on duty. They bring the car around after dinner, I give him a $2 tip and he walks away without closing my door. So I got out and asked him why he wouldn't close the door as a curtesy. His answer was "it's not my job". He either needs retraining or should be doing other work and not dealing with the public. This is an angry young man. Bad reflection on the restaurant.

They had our Open Table reservation and we were immediately seated in a good location. Our server was excellent. The menu was varied and included pizzas. I had home made macaroni (long version) which was delicious with a flavorful sauce and shrimp. My husband had rotini with a meat sauce he loved. Their Caesar salads which we split was very good too. The portions were large so we had no room for dessert.
The atmosphere was lively, but the noise level was high, but there was definitely positive energy.
