Have been a few times now always been excellent but this was the best all round experience I have had not just in the Green Room but Colchester as a whole.

Heated greenhouse outside was very good idea, as we were from mixed households. It was very cosy and the heater was small but worked well as was the light.
Really great food , friendly staff . We visited on a Monday 2 days before lockdown 2 . There was still a full menu and the service was very good too

We ate outside in one of the greenhouses. Staff very friendly and efficient. Food cooked very well, 3 of us had the fish and chips which was very good and I had vegetarian option lentil and aubergine mousaka which was very tasty. Puds were lovely. Overall a very pleasant dining experience
COVID safe! We felt very comfortable. The service was excellent we had the sea bass which was beautifully cooked and very tasty followed by the white chocolate cheesecake absolutely delicious. We will definitely become regulars!

Excellent lunch in good surroundings. Service and attention to detail in the current circumstances could not be faulted.
Disappointing. The duck was not available and we were the first in restaurant. Fish not as described on menu r by waiter and overcooked.

The evening was just as we had hoped: a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, good food and excellent service. On top of this the Covid-19 protections were the best I have seen, without in any way detracting from a great evening.
We had a lovely evening at the Green Room, the restaurant is set up so there are screens dividing the tables so as well as privacy you are protected from being too close to others. The atmosphere was peaceful and calm and the waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious so will definitely be going back again, VERY impressed!!!!

Everything was lovely, the food the staff and the welcome. Unfortunately of no fault of the staff or restaurant, we were sat in the same alcove as the two noisiest women possible.
Visited with my daughter for lunch. The staff were welcoming but kept a safe distance. The service was very friendly and efficient. Food was presented beautifully and very tasty.

Had a fabulous Sunday lunch recently with a friend. Staff very friendly & attentive, food is delicious - good quality / fresh ingredients. The restaurant looks great even with the Covid shield around the tables for protection. I could not have felt safer - everything clean. I cannot recommend The Green Room enough & will certainly return again soon. Nice to see so many customers supporting this business during this difficult period. I hope this continues for them & all the other eating establishments in Colchester. Thank you The Green Room for a fabulous experience. Oh, & the price - fantastic value for money! 10/10.
Friendly welcome, tables well spaced for Covid-19 precautions, comfortable ambience, Excellent food and excellent service. Good variety of menu choice for food and wine. A very enjoyable dining experience.
Very well looked after from the time we stepped in the door. Good attention to detail as regards Covid requirements. Thoroughly enjoyed our food and the service was excellent. Looking forward to our next visit.
