Green Room Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Had to book somewhere for a business lunch and not knowing the area very well saw the green room had good reviews so decided to give it a go.
Really impressed with both the feel of the venue and the quality of the food, both of which were excellent.
The people who served us were attentive without being overly so and will definatley be visiting again.
I had visited this restaurant a few years ago and frankly wasn't impressed, my friend suggested I try it again and I'm so glad I did. Great food, attentive, friendly staff. My friend only had an hour lunch break, we told them we were in a hurry and they were great. Would definitely recommend. Many thanks.
We booked the green room for our anniversary meal and a room.
exceptional value for money - would return again if i was in the area.
hotel was perfect - the room very clean and modern.
Too stuffy but there was a fan included in the room to help with this.
All members of staff are very helpful and friendly.
Food looked good and cooked right. I had the roasted half guinea fowl my wife had lemon sole and my daughter had the Sunday roast beef, also grandchildren had fish and chips and chicken and chips, found the staff friendly and accommodating to our needs. Value for money will go back again.
What a great experience, it started with helpful e mails from them.
Arrived there and managed to park right outside. Went in and from the start the waiter was so helpful and genuinely interested in me as a customer.
First thing was a freebie of bread with Balsamic vinegar and oil waiter was pleased to say he had put more balsamic than usual in it, great decision.
Ordered a seafood platter, which was quite exceptional, there were some superb touches, like mussel shell plate, finger bowl and spoon for broth. Each element of the platter wasbeautifully cooked, the whitebait had just the right amount of coating, the gougons were well cooked and the prawns delicious. The portion was so big I didn't complete it as I wanted room for dessert.
I ordered a mix of raspberry and champagne sorbet both of which were very good, not the best I have ever had but certainally "up there"
Afterwards I had a very new CEO double espresso with a shortcake biscuit all for £25.50 an really great price for the food. The menu us quite varied and there are some great reduced proce options when I visited too.
Toilets were beautifully clean too!
Everything about this restaurant is delightful and well worth the 100 mile round trip!
Must admit it was a very quiet evening but it's a great place to go. On a busy night I suspect booking would be vital.
I spent a very pleasant evening at the Green Room having a meal with a friend. The restaurant is first class from the greeting, to the service and the food. The ambience of the place is great, we were there on a Wednesday evening so was fairly quiet. The decor is very pleasing and you dont feel crowded at your table. I would highly recommend this restaurant, try the sea bass it is excellent. The waitresses were excellent and nothing was too much trouble.I will definitely return.
This is the first time in a couple of years that I have been to The Green Room, I wasn't disappointed then and I'm not disappointed now. There is a new menu with far more choice than there used to be including a steak menu and nibbles. The young lady who served us couldn't have been more helpful, the ambiance was lovely and we managed to have a good catch up over dinner without feeling rushed. I have always recommended The Green Room and I will continue to do so.
We had a party of eight, and we were seated on a set of tables that made up a two-by-two arrangement that was lovely. The service was very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent, although there were just one or two adverse comments regarding how their meat was cooked, i.e. too well done.
I would certainly return, dining area spacous and comfort, food superb although one party member was disappointed with the steak, found it to be alittle tough. Staff very frendly helpful and appeared happy in their work. I will most definately be recommending this restaurant.
We have been going to the Green Room for a number of years now and the food just gets better and better. This is an upmarket yet relaxed restaurant. Great menu choices at reasonable prices. I especially liked the taster dessert menu - this is great if you want dessert but can't manage anything to big.
It would be hard NOT to give this restaurant five * stars.
The food and ambience were excellent; I booked a table for 3 for lunch at 12.45 and we were still there at 3.00 feeling comfortable with no hassle.
I didn't want a starter so I ordered fish 'n' chips from the main menu for my entrée; the fish was perfectly cooked with no bones and nice crispy batter. I like the skin left on my fish so if you don't go for that you might want to express your desire when ordering.
My wife and daughter chose the fish pie and I could see how much they enjoyed it.
My pudding was really good – but it's not on the online menu – it consisted of whiskey flavoured prunes and something else but . . as I say not on the online menu.
Without drinks the whole meal came to £36.
