Very friendly staff!! Helped us pick our meal and adjusted it to our dietary needs!!! The naan was amazing!
Good authentic Indian food in Kentish Town.
a great value curry house with excellent food and service.
The food quality was very good and there was an interesting selection on the menu to choose from. The main dishes are good as individual dishes but if you are considering sharing they have a small number of large meat portions which is not ideal for sharing. That said I think it was good value for money.
A great place, we order takeaway a lot and have eaten there on a few occasions - generally quite quiet but the food is good - not too spicy (chilli)!
Since we have moved away we have not been able to find a better indian and miss it.
The food was delicious and the service, with a smile was outstanding. I had a very pleasant chat with the owner manager. We had a very agreeable dining experience.
Fantastic flavours, excellent service and definitely good value for the quality of food. Would recommend to friends
Great atmosphere. Food was fab. House wine was great value.
Food and value for money both great, but the staff could have been friendlier.
I had a naga gosht and it was delicious. Very spicy but still flavoursome. The tandoori chicken wings were excellent too. My friends all enjoyed their's too
I was pleasantly surprised by just how good the food was on our visit to Gulshaan. Very flavoursome and quality meat. My friend and I both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I would definitely recommend the Gosht Naggi - delicious.
My sister and I had a meal at the Gulshaan before seeing a show at the o2 forum, as it is just a minute's walk away. It is a small restaurant which we found better as we received very quick service. We were offered poppadums and got 2 each plus a pickle tray. We ordered a mix platter starter each which was really tasty and just the right size for a starter. I had the goscht nagga which was really spicy - just the way I like it! My sister is a bit of a picky eater, so I asked for a chicken tikka masala for her without the nuts in and they were more than happy to do this - She did say she enjoyed it. We went for a rice each and a garlic naan to share but we only needed 1 rice really as it was a huge portion! Bread was full of flavour. Also had a Bombay aloo side, which again was a large portion and it was really tasty too. Excellent service, waiters attentive and friendly, without going overboard. Quite reasonably priced for London and would definitely eat here again if I am ever in the area again!
Went to Gulshaan prior to attending a gig at the Forum and it was a welcome surprise to find quite a decent place to eat in Kentish Town. The service was quick and efficient and the food well flavoured and of good quality. A good solid restaurant which is just the right place to eat prior to a gig.
Fantastic value for money and the best Masala I've had in London.
Will be returning again soon.
This is now the second time we've been to Gulshaan and had very positive experiences both times. First time we went as a couple and were blown away by every dish we had so we took a couple of good friends this time for a long overdue catch up. We arrived early at 6.30 and were the only customers. However, it didn't matter as it meant that we could here each other and have a good chat. The waiters were the perfect amount of attentive while giving us our own space and very friendly. Towards 8pm the restaurant was full.
The menu had some interesting options amongst the classics and we ordered three mains and three sides between us which worked well and we were particularly impressed with the sides. The saag paneer and gobi baji were particularly delicious and the naan was really light, crispy and fluffy. The mains were also very good, though the murgh badi had mixed reviews from our group and was a bit sharp for my tastes. With a couple of beers we paid £15 perperson which seemed very reasonable.
All in all we had a very enjoyable evening with good friends, great food and friendly service and we will certainly go back.
The bad smell that pervades the place when you walk in puts you off your food. This is the first time I've eaten there, on a previous occasion, I walked smelled that bad smell and left. That is something that they need to fix. The food wasn't bad and there were some unusual dishes like a chilli sweet potato dish worth trying.
I went here for an early dinner from going to The Forum in Kentish Town.
All the food we ordered was all excellent and decent portion sizes.
When one dish was a little hot to the dinners taste they were happy to provide some additional yogurt to take the heat away.
We all had really lovely options on the menu and noone was disappointed by what they went for. Really good quality dinner and we'll all consider going again.
This dining experience was by chance as we were looking for an Indian restaurant in the area. A nice meal for a last minute booking. Authentic and food was reasonable, but not one I would rush back for.
Delicious authentic dishes in a good atmosphere at reasonable prices
The food was good but not exceptional. The portions were big, I couldn't eat it all which is unusual as we didn't do the usual over order. I would say its very good value and very acceptable, but I am always looking for that something special with the spices in an Indian which this didn't quite deliver. But I would go back and try again as it was Friday night and not always the best night to try an Indian.
I have been getting my takeaway from Gulshaan for about 3 years but had never been there to eat in the restaurant. 9 of us went recently for my birthday and the staff had very sweetly put balloons and star confetti on the table.
The food, as always, was incredible. This is my favourite curry house by far. The food is always so consistent and delicious - Murgh Badi Saba is my favourite. Service was brilliant, attentive, efficient, polite, friendly - I can't heap enough positive praise on Gulshaan. You must try it.
We were a group of 6 eating before a gig at The Forum and Gulshaan was a perfect venue.
Good food, decent service, good value, all in all very happy.
3 of the diners got horrific good poisoning, we shan't be returning.
Lovely meal, good service.
Can get expensive if you add in beers.
They charge for poppadoms and chutney separately - I've never encountered this before.
I would definitely eat here again. Bull and Gate is nice for a beer after.
Tasty and different. Gulshaan in Kentish Town was lovely with a relaxed atmosphere.
Curry before KT Tunstall at the HMV forum. Terrific food and prompt service even though the joint was jumping. Toilets seem to be a bit of an afterthought though - but clean.
Good selection available from menu. Staff very friendly and courtious without being fussy. Food very tasty. although we found the spinach too salty - but I don't usually take any salt, so maybe it's my palette. It was quiet when we arrived at 6:30 but soon filled up within the next hour. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Gulshaan in kentish Town was Pleasant and welcoming.Food was okay but not outstanding
I read a review about this restaurant on the Yelp website, the person stated and I quote “With the exception of Gordon Ramsey's 3* restaurant on Hospital Road, this is the best service I have ever received dining in London” I have been to this restaurant, its good so I had to give Gulshaan a try. How true he is; the food was excellent; traditional Indian food with class with an added cool factor. Service was amazing; it was like being at Gordan Ramsey’s restaurant again without the large bill.
Good food and friendly service.
The restaurant itself is in a great location and the the decor is excellent. However, the food was not great, but ok. If I was living in the area I would revisit, but as I am not, I don't think I will be back again.
