The food is usually great but this time was just ok!
I love the vibe, drinks and food! Great service too, definitely fun to chat and get drunk
The food was amazing!! Our waitress Leah was also very pleasant brought the food out nice and hot and she informed us on things that we did not know about the restaurant. It was an absolute pleasure to dine there looking forward to going back!
Delicious, as always!!
30 birthday celebration
We were there for the dinner portion of the party. The waiter tells us a water main has blown and they can’t provide water because it’s got sewage. Ok. Not fantastic but things happen. Just bring out bottled water was our request. 20 mins goes by still no water on our table but here comes the waiter again this time with glasses of water. Not enough for everyone at the table but some glasses of water. I’m looking at these glasses of water waiting on an explanation of what they are and how these came to be. None was given so I ask where did this water come from? He proceeds to tell this rambling story of water and sewage and the restaurant that ends with “so we are just going to boil the sewage water before we give it to you”. As you can imagine I was disgusted by the idea and the poor delivery. Especially when we said just bring us bottled water!!
Rose Sangria was awesome!
Shared many tapas and dishes. Fave was the beets and paella with seafood and chorizo. Cocktails a bit pricey at $15 each tho we enjoyed the Sangria and mixed drinks. Fun atmosphere and outdoor seating.
Gypsy Kitchen is always a great time. The outdoor patio is the best in the city. The food, drinks and staff are always fantastic.
noise due to alarm for 20 min, early 7pm...
but this is good
Never got waited on so left after 15 minutes
We had a party of 6 & had requested a round table on the patio when we set our reservations a week in advance.
We arrived at 6:30pm on a Tuesday so not many people there.
They seated us at a long rectangle table where your knees constantly bump the siding of the table.
Since there was a round table available I requested the waitress reseat us at the round table and she was able to accommodate.
However, since it was now a different table, they had to assign a different waitress.
We had given our drink order to the 1st waitress and in the table transfer all drink orders were messed up.
3-of us had ordered ketel one & soda with a slice of lime. The 2nd waitress brought out straight shots of vodka on the rocks with no limes. How does the drink order handoff get that screwed up??
The gin & tonic order came out as gin on the rocks.
They could not make several of the specialty cocktail drinks because they did not have either the alcohol or mix.
The the cheese/meat boards they did not have any of the cow cheese options nor did they have two of the meat choices.
Who is in charge of inventory across the board for bar & food??!?
I don’t mind paying a premium for good food & good service but to pay a premium for this is unacceptable.
The only thing this place has going for it is the patio when it is nice weather.
Love Gypsy kitchen, especially the patio seating and view!
Food was okay but troubling part was that we chose to sit outside and many customers step out front to smoke. All the smoke blows into the outdoor seating which made dining fairly unpleasant.
They have changed the menu since before Covid and ITS INCREDIBLE. RUN, don’t walk, to grab a table. What a great surprise and great meal.
The manager checked on us several times and expressed his gratitude for everyone returning following covid. He also brought us new menu items complementary of the restaurant which were fantastic. Great experience overall!
Very tasty plates. Can't go wrong with anything on their menu.
It was my birthday dinner and it was honestly the worst food I’ve ever eaten at Gypsy kitchen and I’ve been coming there for years we ordered 6 different things and everything was cold and it took them 30 mins to even come take a drink out der and then when I finally got my drink there was a fly in it have always loved this place but I’m not sure I’ll be coming back after that worst $200 spent !
Delicious food but very poor service. Drinks took forever and some of the food was brought out when it was finally time to leave, over an hour after the order was placed.
The ambiance was lovely and food was incredible! Perfect date night spot!
Food was cold . And service was horrible . I think his name was Avery? He totally forgot about us
Great experience over all. We came for brunch. Enjoyed about 5 dishes together. My friend and I enjoyed our day!
Absolutely wonderful experience. Can’t wait to come back! Ali and his staff couldn’t have been better!
Great service but medicore food. Tuna tartare was flavorless. The spiced chocolate mouse had no spice. Best part of dinner was the charcuterie plate and the service.
Wow...great experience...loved the menu...everyone was so helpful and professional.
Try for brunch...very inventive takes on "typical" dishes but with a surprising spin. And some offerings that are uniquely in keeping with Spanish cuisine. Didn't have the Bloody Mary... but oh my this is the place to have one on the weekend!
Service was horrible.. drinks took over an hour food was cold
I really want to enjoy coming here because I live close by.. but the past few times the service has been horrible. Everyone I was with said they weren't coming back. I dont necessarily think its the servers fault. We could see him running around so busy. I just think they need to have more servers working at a time to be able to accommodate the amount of people. Especially on the weekends.
Nice establishment, however, I felt like the food was not amazing compared to restaurants like Barcelona.
The food was good. It was the timing in bringing the food to the table. We ordered 5 different items, they brought everything at the same time and it got cold. The bottle of wine we ordered was not good, it had a strong vinegar aftertaste. The manager suggested another one and it was very good.
This was our second visit, which was encouraged by the GM, Ali. We went on, a non holiday, Sunday. We had reservations and was seated immediately. We had the best experience with service, food and drinks. Our eleven year old enjoyed the chicken and spicy waffle and our adult son enjoyed the chicken sausage skillet. Everything, including the seasonal fruit mimosa was delicious. Many people enjoyed the warm weather outside on their beautiful patio.
We will definitely return. Thank you Ali and Birol for you hospitality.
Date night with my wife and the restaurant was great! We were seated quickly and attended to swiftly. Great ambiance, fun atmosphere, relaxing overall feel! Definitely coming back soon.
This was ok. The food was good but way, way over priced. For instance - $13 for three scallops (for a table with four people). $20 for an "a la carte" cheese plate that came with two cheeses on a dessert sized plate - and three pieces of bread (again, four people at the table). I didn't think it was plated that well either - sloppy presentation for a meal that cost over $200.
Ambiance was nice but dark, could barely read the menu. They forgot one of our orders (we ordered eight tapas and again, paid over $200, so getting brussels sprouts ten minutes after we finished the rest of the meal wasn't ideal.
We left hungry, so I wasn't blown away. However, this is Bulkhead so my expectations were on par with what we got.
Great first time experience!! Will definitely go back!!
Always a great time. The food is always excellent and the staff is always courteous and helpful.
Bday dinn r
Seated for reservation 30 minutes after check in.
Good, very slow service and food delivery to table. Very loud but great food and fun. Did not check me in properly so I did not get my open table points.
Good was good, but service was terrible. We did not have a consistent server, took forever to get 4 tapas and playing was poor when they arrived to the table. For the price, this was not worth the money which is a shame because it’s a really neat venue.
We waiting over a hour to get seated then an hour to get food. Didn’t notify me that they were out of what I ordered until 40 mins of waiting
Didn’t get seated for an hour and food is terrible
