Celebrated my 25th birthday here with my husband. It was my first time at Hakkassan in general and honestly my overall experience was amazing. From the minute we walked in we were greeted by smiling faces that opened the front doors. We opted for an early dinner at 5:30pm and chose to have the Taste of Hakkassan set menu (3 courses and a choice of cocktail for £38pp). The service was impeccable; professional but friendly. The food was delicious; small in portion but full of flavour. For mains we ordered the spicy prawn and beef (both really good). For dessert you can only order the carrot cake/chocolate bomb/seasonal fruits each from that menu, all really good! They even brought me the dessert with a happy birthday and candle which was a nice touch. I would definitely go again!

Great as always. But don’t like the change in the Dim Sum choice, the classic with one of each isn’t as good as the old classic.

It was my second time after having tried the”taste of hakkasan” and hoping portions would be bigger but “sequels” have 50% chance in being good.
Food is expensive but service is outstanding .

Love this place. Great food and ambience. Service was generally good but was kept waiting twice- once for cutlery and the other for the bill which I had to ask for twice on both occasions.

Otherwise great!

we went for the vegetarian/vegan set dim sum menu which was certainly filling. We loved the first two courses, especially the salad which we would have loved more of as it was so delicious. The main course, however, although tasty was a bit dry. The staff are delightful and very attentive whilst discrete. The music is always a bit loud for me but it's their thing so it's fine. I do love going to Hakkasan but don't do it often enough. Food is always so good and I am always recommending it to friends.

Food was good - service wasn’t great. We had the classic set menu for four and the vegetarian set menu for two. Food didn’t arrive together and servers were annoyed when we checked it was coming. Each subsequent course came at separate times which was annoying, but forgivable as it was a casual meal with friends and not with work. While I like Hakkasan and go regularly as I live near by, the snooty service has put me off.

Having been half a dozen or so times in the past, we found this visit really disappointing. The menu has changed with a focus on the set menus which we thought we’d try -wished we hadn’t. The special set menu for Chinese new year was bland and rushed. The portions were small, the soup tasteless, the lobster overpowered by the sauce and a measly portion of rice which you didn’t dare ask for replenishing for fear of the cost. The service was fine, nothing special so the 13.5% charge was a bit much. I’d only go back for the dim sum Sunday and taste of hakkasan options which are reasonably priced for the quality and quantity.

Had the Chinese New Year menu and was really disappointed with all aspects except the dessert. Poor flavour in most dishes esp lamb and pork. Very poor value.

We know the restaurant well, it's one of our favorite places to go to. The host kindly led us to our table, which was opposite the kitchen. A bit noisy to sit, but not that bad. We got the menu immediately as we sat down, but were waiting 20 minutes long to order.
First we ordered cocktails, then the starter and mains together, when a waiter (Italian, from his accent) came over. We said to have 2 jasmine rices on the table. He asked back, is that two, we said yes. He seemed writing that down as well.
We were waiting 20 minutes for the starter, we consumed it. A young lady came over to clear our table after that. Asking how was everything and wanted to get us the bill?? We said, we are waiting for the main course now. She was really confused! Our mains arrived even later than 30 minutes..
The meals were amazing, great portions as starters and mains as well.
After we finished the main course, we tried to catch somebody to get the dessert menu for us and order some fruit cocktails. Only one waiter was around doing his job well, and as he got close to our table, we could get him to bring the dessert menu while ordering the fruity drinks. Others on the floor just looked at him doing things, not actively seeking, if any guests want to have anything at all.
Our waiter was never really seen, who actually got our orders, which was a bit strange. Only could see him coming back, when 2 tables away a lady pulled her cocktail glass down from the table, and the glass pieces reached our place as well. So he cleaned it up, after we asked for it.
The fruit drinks and the desserts were also fantastic. The desserts came quite fast, because they wanted to finish as soon as possible as the restaurant was busy and booked for the next guests. So we had to finish our drinks at the bar. If the waiters had done their job well, we could have finished all our meals in time.

The food and drink, as always, was amazing with the dumplings exceptionally delicious. The restaurant is a little dark but it gives it a nice ambiance. I thought the service really disapointed when you're paying top dollar for chinese food: we were ghosted for a while before we could order drinks and even longer before we could order food, numerous times we had to ask for more drinks or wines. Service was otherwise fine (very polite for e.g.) but left more to be desired.

We’ve previously been to Hakkasan Mayfair and fell in love with it, so had certain expectations from the dinner. The Hakkasan Hanway Place did not meet them, the service was slow, the waiter was not nice but was arrogant, the cocktails were not as good as at Mayfair (and again it took us ages to get them). Food was well, but the overall experience did not worth the money we spent there. Do not recommend to visit, opt for Hakkasan Mayfair instead.

Food was absolutely wondeful. I went for surprise birthday meal for my brother and they came with a little surprise ice cream. He also had an allergy to prawns and the chef was happy to change it for something alternatively delicious to sweet and sour pork. It was very special- definitely worth every penny!! Food and service was excellent!!

The service was poor. We waited 2 hours for our food. We had about 10 waiters in total, and due to that no one was in charge of us. My mom ordered champagne which came after 3 minutes, whereas my water took 38 minutes (I watched the time). We also had a hard time communicating with one of the waiters because he didn’t speak English too well.
Overall we love hakkasan, but last time was a bummer. To wait 2 hours for the food is not optimal and when we asked the waiters, the response was angry and I felt like a burden.

The food was great but being left at a crowded bar not knowing when a table was going ro be ready and if we'd have to go looking for it wasn't. We were on time but were sat 20 minutes late. When you're told on booking you only have the table for a certain amount of time, that's not brilliant. And really, the food is good but £110 minimum for Peking duck that you barely see and get probably less than half of....

We had the set meal and it was very nice, however it was a bit of a surprise for a service charge of 13.5% to be automatically added. The staff were very friendly and we didn't feel rushed at all. It would have been better to have a slightly larger choice of food but i suppose they wanted to keep it simple for the set menu. I would return, but for me its more of a couple place than a larger group.

I have been a regular visitor since the restaurant first opened. For the first time ever I had the ‘deal menu’ for £38. Whilst compared with the normal prices it’s quite a saving I thought the portion size v small bulked out by lack lustre vegetables and rice. In addition we ordered the duck salad for £25, as we were still hungry I’ve has this dish maybe 20 plus times, the portion has dramatically shrunk, and was not presented prior to preparing the duck. All in our bill was £200 with just 2 carafes of wine. It didn’t feel enough of a treat for the money.

The food was excellent, the staff great and the service spot on. The room was noisy but this actually grew on you, a little dark but again this did get better as the night went on. Throughly enjoyed the meal and the place. Cost was a little on the high side but after all it was Chinese New Year and the special menu. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone.
