The staff at the restaurant were very rude and unhelpful
Never disappointed, love this place, food always blows us away as does the service/staff. Great atmosphere, everything is just right.
Hakkasan is always a super experience, i Love the Cocktails and mocktails!!
Food is very nice, all in all I feel it’s overpriced. However worse going there for a special occasion!
The food quality didnt match the cool ambiance and high service quality.
We had the Phonix tasting menu. Dim sum was delicious. But the rest of the hot dishes was seasoned very poorly and tasted bland (not enough salt, acid, heat). The rice was overcooked and mushy.
I felt the food was a waste of time and money when there is so many other alternatives in London.
The food, service and atmosphere are all top notch. While it's possible to spend a huge amount of money, the set menus and particularly the brunch menu are fantastic value. Highly recommended.
Went for lunch. Had signature menu. Everything was fantastic. Truly great.
Food divine and although expensive pretty good value, particularly vegan dim sum. As usual service related to being two middle aged women so generally pretty poor. Amazing service where there was a man eating.
The food is excellent and the ambiance is very good although a bit noisy considering it was a Friday evening.
Great food & veggiex choices were plenty!
The food was really delicious with outstanding service.
The food was rushed to our table and piled on without waiting for previous dishes to be finished, to the point where there was no space on the table. The service was incredibly rude when asked about some menu items that previously existed. In general the experience was disappointing, in contrast to a wonderful experience 4 years ago.
The host staff and staff in general were incredible. So was the ambience. The music, design, and architecture were just lovely. We arrived before they officially opened and with luggage in tow. We had had a rough time getting there in the rain and they were very accommodating with everything. Prices are a bit intense, which is expected for a Michelin Star restaurant, but when given a deal, we didn't think that would mean that the quantity or quality would go down. With the OpenTable restaurant "deal," you get little to no options and the portions are tiny. My wife doesn't do seafood had even fewer options. Unfortunately, the best part (of food), was the dessert, and that was not what I was expecting.
Always loved Hakkasan, but had a very disappointing experience at the Mayfair restaurant a few weeks back. Service was terrible, and whilst the food was exceptional as always, the overall feeling was something has changed.
The Hanway restaurant was better with more lively atmosphere and great food as expected. But again the service is not what it used to be in the old days.
We were not able to book the early deal despite arriving at 6.30; then we were continually hassled - waiters removing glasses, dishes, hurrying us up; then we had to leave our table at 8.30 even though no one took it; we had to adjourn to the bar. V expensive
Food was fantastic and £30 special was a great value. There were tons of servers. We never seemed to have someone dedicated to our table. The atmosphere was a bit loud, but overall very posh and delicious.
A night out and meal to experience! Tucked inside an unassuming alleyway is this 1* Michelin Asian restaurant which from the moment you stepped in to the welcome to being seated and the service provided all add up to the wonderful dishes; including the out-of-this-world dessert!
The food is impeccable as always. But the place is let down by the service - impersonal, inefficient, and above all slow. 20 mins waiting at the bar for our table, 20 mins at the table waiting for menus, 20 mins waiting for a waiter to take our order. So we had been there almost 90mins before the food started to come out. I cannot fault the food - inventive and delicious and worth the wait...I think.
Frankly I wouldn’t waste your money. For a fine dining experience it was bang average and hugely over priced
Would not recommend
We have been to Hakkasan a number of times and always have the most amazing experience with food, drinks and service. On Sunday we had the brunch deal and it did not disappoint. We had the most amazing duck salad to start and the dim sum was so tasty. The beef dish was delicious and the prawn dish, although a little too spicy for me ( I can't eat anything even vaguely spicy) my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. The chocolate dessert was rich and very enjoyable. The red wine included in the brunch deal was lovely and the cocktails were heavenly. Once again we had a wonderful time and will definately be back again soon.
Last visit very disappointing. We had been many times previously, especially for Dim Sum Sunday and had always found it very enjoyable.
This time, we were a 4, and unwittingly uncovered that the portion size for two of the courses (duck salad, desert) does not vary with your table size (even though price is per head) meaning we had to share between us tiny morsels otherwise prepared for tables of two. When we raised this with the waiter (having seen the table beside us have twice as much per person as they were two) they simply said this was policy to have the same amount of food for table sizes 2-4 on these courses.
We were quite embarrassed as our guests were large men, and that this was clear penny pinching from an otherwise very nice restaurant, that they did not rectify. A strange situation where if we’d book 2 tables of two we would have received significantly more food for the same price.
- needless penny pinching by expensive restaurant
- dealt poorly with the issue
Wonderful place to dine out with family and friends. Love the ambience. Well Done team Hakkasan !!
The food was fantastic even the atmosphere. Unfortunately, they missed out on service in the way that one of our dishes came much later than the rest of the food. They compensated us with a bowl of rice and an apology, not okay for a restaurant in this class.
Loved every minute of my meal at Hakkasan. Had the bamboo set meal which gave a great selection of dishes. The food was delicious through every course. I would definitely recommend to anyone trying the dim sum here. Quite a costly meal but definitely worth it when it comes to the quality you receive both in terms of food and service.
The food was nice however very expensive. The service was average.
We had a wonderful brunch tasting menu which also included 2 cocktails and half a bottle of champagne per person. The food was amazing as always, and all the guests enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant and the truly stunning decor.
We got the £38 offer that allowed us to have their signature dish with the beef which was lovely and a cocktail, which was also nice. The beef was yummy but the portion was quite small, the Berkshire pork was not anything special, it was okay. The dumplings in the beginning were nice, the vegan ones and the meat ones. The waitress was very friendly and very helpful, a German girl. None of the people working there seemed to be Chinese. I am just saying that as ten years ago when I had visited last time there seemed to be more of an 'Oriental' atmosphere, it was more young people working there now. There was a DJ playing and the noise level was definitely energetic.
Great food but we were slightly rushed from our table at the end of the meal which was a shame....
Fish dish was not fresh fish, I couldn’t eat it, beef average
Dim sum okay but can get much better in Manchester China town
Wine, 50 pounds per Carafefor 10 pounds bottle is ridiculous
As for the dessert, English school dinner pudding with a Chocolate top
A waste of my time and money
The ingredients were nice but fish quite overdone and dishes lacked excitement. Duck salad had nice texture but bland. Eggplant tofu dish needs more complexity and more sear on the eggplant. Service started out good but we were forgotten after our main entrees and for some time had difficulty flagging someone for our check.
Great meal at Hakkasan again
Great food, great ambience, great service
The food was a very fresh and tasty. The service was a bit slow but they were very good with the presentation and the cocktails were great.
Amazing restaurant and great food, however we had to wait over 1.5h for our main dish to be served hence only 3 stars for service.
Have been many times and have never faulted the food, service or ambiance. Highly recommended
The weekend brunch is amazing value! Champagne, cocktails and four superb courses (the dessert has really stepped up) for sixty quid!
The food was very good, however we were disappointed in the service. We ordered a set menu with a two hour reservation. We assumed this would either be timed properly or there would be flexibility with the timing of the booking. We had to wait 20+ min for our mains after the starters and before finishing we were told that they would need to bring out dessert as our reservation was coming to an end. We were even told that we couldn’t order a coffee to accompany our dessert even though we had to wait 10+ minutes for them to bring it out before being promptly shown out. Having ordered a set menu the timings should have more thoughtfully considered to avoid this especially for the price you pay.
Normally a fab experience but on this occasion waiter forgot one main & offered at the end. Also one wrong main given but we did not want to wait for it to be returned & replaced as the idea was to dine together.
Amazing weekend Brunch. Can highly recommend it. Will be back!
My husband and I absolutely loved the flavours of everything we ate! From the dumplings to the spicy prawns to the beef chilli pepper to dessert! Loved it! The set menus make life so easy 👌🏻
Booked for a business dinner at 7:15 but we were asked to depart by 9pm. I guess that's normal for a busy Friday evening. Struggled to find food I could eat on the menu and in the end ordered Beef Rib in jasmine tea which was dry and unappetizing. Luckily my colleague ordered a truffle duck - much better - and although he regretted it, he let me swap with him.... sigh, such a lovely person. The dim sum starter was ah-mazing. Would love to see more options for people who cannot eat spicy food (allergic to chilli). The meal was eye wateringly expensive but a very nice treat.
