Used to love coming here as the food and service was always exceptional however on our last visit i had to ask 3 times to be seated and had a long wait between courses. A change to the signature dish of beef with merlot from previous visits was disappointing and visually underwhelming.

We were excited to try Hakkasan but we’re very disappointed with the service. Long waits, having to send dishes back etc is not what we expect from any restaurant especially with that price tag.

Amazing food and great service, although when I booked through open table, they did not have my reservation when I arrived and they did question me quite a lot, which wasn't great. The barman made us a bespoke cocktail which was delicious and the food was outstanding, although obviously very expensive.

As this visit was on a Sunday evening, the restaurant was busy, but not as full as usual. Even so great atmosphere ,staff as friendly as ever. Apparently the kitchen was experiencing "issues" which meant our meal took a lot longer to serve than usual (quite long intervals between courses), though this did not affect the quality of the food ,which was superb. As an apology for the slow service , we were given one of our courses foc. In truth, my wife and I weren't in a hurry so it made a nice change to enjoy a more leisurely meal. Dovile Kacinskaite, the supervisor was particularly friendly. On the night all of the staff that served us were great, a credit to Hakasan.

The Sunday dim sum set menu was superb, as was almost everything about our Hakkasan experience. The duck salad was absolutely delicious, and it was difficult to pick our favourite bit of dim sum. Our only complaint about the food was that there was too much of it, but that didn’t stop us from polishing off every last morsel of the delicious dark chocolate dessert. The staff in general could not have been more attentive and genuinely warm. The only reason for giving four stars for service was that the lady who greeted us at the door unfortunately stood out for her unfriendliness, bordering on disdain, and it was a shame that she was the first and last person to greet us at the restaurant. That said, we would definitely dine here again. The waiting staff, food and ambience all deserved a hearty five stars.

the food is great the service is ok. The ambience is a but passe' now the music is so loud you cant think and deflects from enjoying the food as we just wanted to finish and leave. I think it is far too expensive even if the food is delicious. We had the Bamboo menu for 4 and it is very tasty ingredient which at least taste fresh , although the food came very quickly after ordering. The frenetic music dark lighting and fast delivery of food made for quite a stressful experience. I would not go to this location again

We were rushed through our dinner from the start. The waiter must have come over to chase for food and drink orders about 15 times. After spending almost £350, we were then kicked off our table with no offer of dessert because we had gone over our allotted '2 hour' window. After being repeatedly chased for our order, the drinks and food were then very slow to arrive and one of our drinks never arrived (and when we finally chased and it did arrive it was not what was ordered). The drinks themselves were excellent (other than the one that was done incorrectly) but incredibly small portions for the price - the martini only came just halfway up the glass and the waiter tried to clear it before my guest had finished. The gluten free options were minimal with no willingness to discuss any alternatives to make further dishes available. The waiter made my gluten free guest feel like she was a problem. It was a client dinner and the level of service was embarrassing. The food was lovely but it was a shame the experience was not at all relaxing or enjoyable!

The food was amazing as always!! The restaurant is always a bit on the noisy side but, not unbearable by any means.

We were late due to severe delays on the central line and having to divert to the restaurant by taxi in the end. I called ahead to let the reception staff know about this. When we got to the restaurant we were abruptly told the table would need to be given back at 8pm. This was my only criticism of the night really. We knew we wouldn't be booted off of the table on the dot at 8pm, especially if we were spending money. I just felt there was no need for that to be said and if it needed to be said, the staff members tone certainly could have been more polite.

But Hakkasan is still my favourite restaurant!!

Lovely place, descent food if and when it does actually arrive. Chose the Hanway place venue after a recommendation from a friend. Really disappointed though I’m sorry to say. This place isn’t cheap so I feel you have a right to expect the best. Not even close. We were a party of 6 and our starters came out staggered, not particularly unusual but there was probably 20 mins between the first and last arriving. We arrived at the restaurant at 21.00 and even after 23.00 we were still waiting for main courses. The staff were being run ragged and they just came up with lame excuses that they had 2 large parties in that evening. They did give us some free wine as an apology but the whole thing really took the edge off a great day in London which was a shame. Won’t be returning to Hakkesan Hanway Place for sure.

The whole experience was exactly what I was hoping for and more. Perfect service from start to finish. Yes the restaurant is pricey but you get what you pay for and that was certainly the case. Everyone we encountered was attentive and willing to help or answer questions if required.

Will definitely be returning at some point in the future

Were greeted well. Well organised and welcoming.
Tables are too close together, found it rather difficult to squeeze through, I am not on the large size!
Food was delicious, plenty of vegetarian options. Vast range of cocktails but on the expensive side.
Music was a bit to loud, was difficult to have a conversation.
Waiter was attentive however, there is room for major improvement or training is required. Our food arrived, 1 dish was not what I ordered. The waiter insisted I ordered a chicken dish, I am a vegetarian so I think not. He then said he may have misheard, - music too loud! Then upon serving our food, spilled both our rice onto the table, he apologised profusely. Then upon clearing our table, dropped used cutlery on my husbands clothes.

Service was awful and the food never arrived!
We waited an hour and 15 mins before asking the waiter to check how long our food would be (bearing in mind you can only keep the table for 2 hours!). The waiter came back and said there was an issue with a wok and the food would be 5 mins. We asked if we could have any of the 6 dishes we had ordered now, and he said he would check with the kitchen. We were then told it would be 10-15 mins and the issue was that we hadn’t ordered starters?!? He then said our ticket was at the bottom of the queue, so he didn’t know when we would get our food. We decided to leave at this point. Awful service and will definitely not recommend or return.

I think we were unlucky on the night we went, there were big delays in the kitchen and we had to wait an hour between our starters and our main which was waaay too long. The staff and manager were apologetic (though they made up excuses). It was not a pleasant dinner experience.

I never have a bad word to say about the food or the service it is second to none! The price is a little steep I do think but it is beautiful! But the music is awful and sometimes at an unexpected level so you can’t speak with your loved one. But when I take out my lady I like to have a nice conversation it’s just my opinion if the music was down a little and maybe not so much of a nightclub like base maybe jazz or even r&b some soul a bit of sex appeal to go with the scene it would be perfect

As usual the food was outstanding and the place dazzling. My personal wish to get a table agains a wall or in a corner (already announced on booking and due to hearing impairment on both sides) was only respected after three trials, but then I was happy.
The wish to not serve all orders together but one by one was not respected at all. I hate eating cold Wagyu beef, cold truffles duck and cold silver cod. All dishes are so excellent and taste so beautiful that is is a sin to serve them cold.
It still would be one of the best restaurants in London but the staff doesn’t listen to the requirements of the guests

Me and the wife came here on our 1st wedding anniversary, as I brought her there the night I proposed. The first time we went it was absolutley amazing, couldn't fault it. This time however it was slightly different.

We had orignally booked for 8pm, but after realising that the Dim Sum sunday finished at 6:30 I called up and asked if we could move the booking earlier so we could have the Dim Sum menu as that is what we had last time. The lady on the phone said that was fine and re-arranged the booking to 6:30 as that is the last sitting for the menu. When we got seated we were given the standard menus only. When I enquired about the Dim Sum menu the waiter said that it ended at 6:30. I explained how we were moved to this slot because of the meny to which he replied that apparantly when someone books for that menu a note is left on their reservation which ours did not have. Anyway, I let it go and we ordered one of the set menus.

The food was good, but the service not so much. I had to ask more than one member staff when we wanted cutlery as it wasn't brought to us the first time I asked. When they collected the empty glasses they kept offering me another drink, but not my wife. Also, they brought the next course out when there wasn't room on the table as we were still on the previous course which meant they had to take the plates back.

What was meant to be a reminiscence of the night I proposed was somewhat spoilt as we were expecting the fantastic dining experienced we received the first time we visited, but it wasn't.

The restaurant is really nice, but on this occasion it was not worth £300 which is a shame. We travelled from West Sussex to dine at the restaurant as going by the first visit there it was worth the travel, but I don't think we will be going out our way to visit again.
