This restaurant never disappoints. a great selection of delicious food and an awesome overall experience.
FABULOSO!!!
Want to get us out as soon as possible
Alle dishes delivered on same time, horrible way to serve.
Weekend brunch menu. Was really good value as it comes with half a bottle of Champagne each and two cocktails.
Service - Was okay b
Would defo go back and have the a la carte menu.
Me and my partner were running late for our reservation and the team at hakkasan kindly saved our table and even kept the kitchen open until our arrival. Wonderful service and will definitely be returning but on time next time !
Hakkasan is not what it used to be. The care to detail has been lost and our special birthday celebration was ruined, as midnight came and went with no sight of the ordered champagne or cake.
It makes me sad that a place we flew into especially for special occasions for the past ten years (+) has deteriorated in quality of food and service.
Una piacevole serata con la mia famiglia...
When i go out for dinner i dont want a nightclub experience. Particularly when the cost is extortionate
Nice restaurant and attentive service. We chose one of the set menus which gave many great flavors. The wine list was a bit limited but was well adapted to the menu.
Our main course wasn't very warm when it arrived and was served on cold plates. by the time we had 2nds / 3rds, as it was 4 main course to share between the 3 of us, the food was cold.
the did give us 2 of the 3 menus off the bill.
We also asked for the food to come AFTER we had finished our cocktails, that didn't happen either, making the whole experience feel very rushed, not what you want at an expensive restaurant when you have gone there to have a relaxed, celebratory Christmas office lunch...
Overall very disappointing, but the reduction in the bill certainly helped.
Service was dreadful
Food was below average
Waited over an hour for the starter which came out stone cold. We were told they would replace in 10-15 mins. 30 mins later still no food.
It was an odd time of day when we were there so I imagine it would be noisier in peak hours.
The crispy duck salad was great, as was the silver cod. The deserts were to die for (both chocolate options).
Food is very good, service is a bit lacking and quite disappointing. Prefer the Mayfair outlet for better service.
Main course came at different times. Huge delay between main courses coming out.
We had a wonderful evening ☺️ Will be back next week already
Always a pleasure to be in this place.....just love it!
Good food but overpriced for what you get. Music too loud for conversation.
The night was amazing. Impeccable service and food was outstanding. We loved every aspect of the evening. Would definitely recommend and return again.
This was my 3rd visit to Hakkasan Hanway Place, and all 3 times for the Brunch/Dim Sum Sunday’s. This was to celebrate my Birthday, and unfortunately it was incredible disappointing.
Firstly, we were told to sit at the bar, until our table was ready. 20 minutes after our reservation time,
I went out to the reception to ask if our table was ready, and they looked shocked and asked ‘oh do you want to go to your table?’ as if I had asked to sit at the bar.
Once seated, it took almost 20 mins for anyone to enquire about as to what we wanted to order. We specified the brunch menu, with wine included. The gentleman that was serving us had an incredibly poor attitude, and when asked questions from my elderly father who had not been to Hakkasan before, he replied almost sarcastically, as if we should all understand the menu entirely. Anyway, he left the table without asking what main course or wine we wanted. We struggled to find anyone to take this updated order, and did not manage to before a waiter brought drinks over which we didn’t order.
The food was good, however not as polished as has been in the past. The duck salad was fantastic as always, but 2 of the dim sum were so over-seasoned with pepper; we struggled to eat them. The main dishes were tasty, but the beef was a little dry, no where near the intensity of flavour that I am used to at Hakkasan - largely due to the lack of sauce. Finally; the dessert was delicious; with a Birthday message included. However, on the small size; we got two ‘chocolate melting pots’ between five of us. We saw 2 tables of 2 have a melting pot between each couple...making it clear we only received dessert for 4. Pretty insulting and disappointing.
I was absolutely gutted to have such a sour taste in my mouth at the end of this meal, largely due to an arrogant waiter, who we seemed to be bothering upon any request, and food not quite what it used to be - A kick in the teeth when they whack on a near £50 service charge.
The food for the Sunday brunch was delicious and there was more than enough to eat and drink! This is a great place to visit for a birthday or a special occasion.
Shouldn’t retain Michelin star, Mimosa cocktails did not have freshly squeezed juice, it must have been outed from Tesco concentrates carton, they used to have a hint of ginger too, so disappointing now compared to how wonderful they used to be. Food was not as good as previously (we had the dim sum) it was overdone. The dessert was disappointing too, a good idea with the chilled orange and the melted hot chocolate, but once the chocolate had been poured the chilled orange should be added at the discretion of the diner to the chocolate, not thrown together the way it was done.
Yes but not if you want to chat & it’s not great for a table of 10 as can’t really share.
Hakkasan is one of our favourite spots in London as it never disappoints us. Last Saturday though we had to wait for 20min for our table even though we had a reservation. The bar was crowded so we could not even reach it to get some drinks whilst we were waiting. Very loud music and guests - completely different atmosphere than what we are used to there. It got much better towards the end of the night. Hoping this was an one off experience and it will keep being as amazing as before.
The overall experience was good, however, the bar area where we waited until our table was ready was too over crowed, it is a narrow passage way, so unable to have a drink as people kept pushing and passing by. The bar staff too busy with assisting people standing or sitting at the bar. It was very unpleasant, we have been to Hakkasan in NYC and the bar area is wide enough to be comfortable, but here in Hanway Place, no chance. Our booking was at 9:30pm, we ended up being seated at 9:50pm, not a big deal, but when the only option is to stand in the entrance, doesn't make it too great!
40min wait for the table. Reception asked us to
Fantastic cool place! Great bar!
Excellent service. Food was very tasty and beautiful. But all in all... way overpriced.
You can have food just as good in normally priced restaurants...
And the annoying DJ playing music so loud, it was hard to have a normal conversation at the table.
Cool in a bar... but not in a 5 ⭐️ restaurant!!
I’ll go somewhere else next time....
Buzzy bar, fabulous food, decent wine list
One thing though, do diners really need a DJ pumping out “beats” whilst they’re enjoying Star-grade plates?
Food was really good, tables are tiny and some of the serving staff a little “blunt”. Bar staff excellent. I’d consider going back but with lower expectations next time, Hakkasan Shanghai really blows this one out of the water.
This was my third visit to hakassan and was not as enjoyable as my last two experience there . Starting with when my guest asked if there was mushrooms in the soup the waitress rolled her eyes at her colleague . Not a good start !!!! I felt that we were rushed and also felt that the staff were not as helpful or approachable as my previous experiences I feel that they were rude . And I will not be returning . I felt the whole ambiance was wrong and as it was a special occasion has left us all feeling disappointed. After telling my quests how special it is there I don’t feel that they will return or recommend . A real shame !
If it was not for the rushed service and our Waiters ignorance to our request for a slight delay to our main course order.
We would have had a perfect night.
Food is just ....Super.
But when rushed its not ideal.
Food, drinks and service were all amazing! We went on a Saturday for brunch and the ambiance was great, it wasn't too loud nor too crowded so we really enjoyed the experience.
