Hakkasan Hanway Place is the original Hakkasan restaurant. This Michelin starred Chinese restaurant was designed by the famed Christian Liaigre, the intricate wooden lattice screens, carved out of dark English oak, invite discerning guests for a unique dining experience with contemporary cuisine from Chef Tong Chee Hwee. The menu has a strong Chinese ethnic identity with an ethos of Cantonese cooking.

Hakkasan Hanway Place launched ‘Dim Sum Sundays’ in 2013. Priced at £58 or £62 per person, Dim Sum Sundays is a weekly lunch event with music from Hakkasan lounge DJs, available every Sunday from 12pm until 6.30pm.

The £62 menu includes a cocktail from Hakkasan’s award-winning list to start, followed by a half bottle of Louis Roederer Brut Premier Champagne per person ( or a Magnum per 4 guests) and concludes with a digestive cocktail to enjoy with dessert.

Please note that the 'Taste of Hakkasan' menu is not available on 14th February.

Special Events & Promotions
Hakkasan celebrates the ancient Chinese culinary ritual with “Dim Sum Sundays”. Dim sum, or ‘touching the heart’, has developed over hundreds of years, but has its roots in the providing of sustenance and the facilitating of rest and conversation.

Priced at £58 per person, the 6-course menu has been created by Chef Ho Hip Wah, Hakkasan Hanway Place’s Chef de Cuisine. Dim Sum Sundays is a weekly event, with the menu available every Sunday from 12midday – 5pm.

The menu encompasses our idea of “modern authenticity” which is at the heart of everything at Hakkasan. We acknowledge tradition while embracing and crafting change.

Highlights include the Crispy duck salad, Chinese chive dumpling with prawn and crabmeat, Crispy smoked duck and pumpkin puff, Pork and prawn shumai and Grilled Chilean sea bass.

First visit to Hakkasan but certainly not the last! recommended by friends who like us are "foodies". We were not disappointed!
The food was amazing, great presentation and the tea and cake for dessert was a lovely surprise. The prawn dish was certainly spicy hot and came with dozens of red chillies for anyone brave enough to eat them.
Our waiter and sommelier were friendly, helpful and so good humoured.
We will be back and are tellling our friends to visit on any trips to London.

Very good food and the service was excellent, the best I have ever witnessed to tell the truth. The place it self is exotic and very cool. The only thing was the the noise. It had very loud music and on either side of our table very large groups and the outcome was like a techno dance.

Fun restaurant with nice food. Dim sum starter and chicken satay especially good. Service slower than I’d like (drinks arrived after the starters...) and music a bit too loud for comfortable chatter.

Food is decent, although expensive. The real issue was the suffocating service, and trying to be sold in to a very expensive tasting menu which we didn't want.

Also the decor needs an upgrade, it's far too dark and sullen for a relaxing lunch.

Very good food but quite expensive. The waiters too much present and pressing.

Ate here for the first time 8 years ago on a visit to London with my wife. Wife and I were in London once again and returned to Hakasan Hanway Place and it did not disappoint. Food, service and ambience were as good as ever.

Went on pre theatre menu. Cocktails v good, excellent wine and sake recommendations from waiter. Food exquisite tho small portions. Puddings were stand out. Venue is dark so not ideal on a sunny day. Also hard to find so leave plenty of time

I didn’t like how they didn’t have a set menu for one but the lady was kind enough to speak to the chef. I wanted to order the supreme platter as well but the same lady said it might be too much food for me. she didn’t present me other options which felt like I was being rushed to order.

Absolutely brilliant. Warm welcome when we arrived, impeccable service and divine food. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and they gave us a free dessert to make the occasion. 10/10

Beware with the “Whole Duck” the price is £100.00, they show the duck at the table then they take it away. What comes back is not even half a duck.

Great food and service was good too. I went with my young son and they knew exactly how to do kids' noodles but think it could be more child friendly with some options for kids (apart from plain noodles) and by ensuring the child's food comes first and not at the end.

It was my first time here for a special dinner with a good friend so I wanted it to be perfect. I requested for a good seating table for us to make great intimate conversation. The food, ambience, decor and service was second to none. It states that the restaurant closes at 11pm but we didn't even pay attention to the time and stayed there until about 12.30am, not once did we felt rushed or pressured to leave. In all, I am truly happy with my experience and would come here again.

Beyond disappointing. Saturday night. My birthday. This restaurant has a great heritage. The vibe was way too clubby. The ambience wasn’t good and the initial service was robotic.
What totally ruined it was the food. A local Chinese delivers much better quality and standard! I’d been to the Shanghai Branch last month which was outstanding. Amazing food, great flavours and impeccable service. Very underwhelming. Avoid.

Food was quite good, nothing spectacular considering the price and reputation of the establishment. The staff were uncoordinated and the level of English and knowledge about the food and drink lacking. Also the tone was a bit curt and one felt somewhat like a problem to be handled rather than a guest to be welcomed.

The food and cocktails were absolutely delicious - the only complaint was how keen the staff were for us to leave. With the price, you'd expect to be given a little more leeway but we were asked twice whether we'd finished the puddings and it really felt like they wanted to get rid of us (even though this was done very politely). Was a bit of a shame after such a delicious meal.

This is one of the best East Asian restaurants in London: it is always a pleasure to go there, especially at earlier times when it is not so busy.

I have been to Hakkasan many times (but also many years ago). Four of us ordered the signature menu.

We found the food very ordinary, and certainly well short of Michelin star level.

The ambience is still good, but there are very many better restaurant experiences for much lower cost.

Will not be going there again.

The dim sum was superb and probably the best we ever had. Usually dim sum can be a hit and miss affair, not here, every bite was good or great. The crispy duck salad was to die for.
Also, we had the Sunday brunch deal, which was really good value. Hard to find a fault, that we got our dessert paired Avec-drinks after we finished our dessert, maybe? But then we’re really nitpicking.
We will return, love the place.

Mains were delayed but the staff were amazing. No need to complain, they knew the problem, apologised in advance and removed the cost of our wine from the bill.
Food was great as always. Been many times before, will go again obviously.
