Hakkasan Hanway Place is the original Hakkasan restaurant. This Michelin starred Chinese restaurant was designed by the famed Christian Liaigre, the intricate wooden lattice screens, carved out of dark English oak, invite discerning guests for a unique dining experience with contemporary cuisine from Chef Tong Chee Hwee. The menu has a strong Chinese ethnic identity with an ethos of Cantonese cooking.

Hakkasan Hanway Place launched ‘Dim Sum Sundays’ in 2013. Priced at £48 or £58 per person, Dim Sum Sundays is a weekly lunch event with music from Hakkasan lounge DJs, available every Sunday from 12pm until 6.30pm.

The £58 menu includes a cocktail from Hakkasan’s award-winning list to start, followed by a half bottle of Louis Roederer Brut Premier Champagne per person ( or a Magnum per 4 guests) and concludes with a digestive cocktail to enjoy with dessert.

Please note that the 'Taste of Hakkasan' menu is not available on 14th February.

Special Events & Promotions
Hakkasan celebrates the ancient Chinese culinary ritual with “Dim Sum Sundays”. Dim sum, or ‘touching the heart’, has developed over hundreds of years, but has its roots in the providing of sustenance and the facilitating of rest and conversation.

Priced at £58 per person, the 6-course menu has been created by Chef Ho Hip Wah, Hakkasan Hanway Place’s Chef de Cuisine. Dim Sum Sundays is a weekly event, with the menu available every Sunday from 12midday – 5pm.

The menu encompasses our idea of “modern authenticity” which is at the heart of everything at Hakkasan. We acknowledge tradition while embracing and crafting change.

Highlights include the Crispy duck salad, Chinese chive dumpling with prawn and crabmeat, Crispy smoked duck and pumpkin puff, Pork and prawn shumai and Grilled Chilean sea bass.

Good food, but not spectacular. Rather loud music. At least 4 waiters wanted to pour wine in our glasses, which was quite irritating since we wanted to take it slowly. The guy we understood was our main waiter did a very good job, but it was a bit annoying with others stepping in quite unnecessarily.

I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The Dim sum was amazing and the duck salad was refreshing. Service was well-timed and friendly, drinks were quite nice.

First time at Hanway Place, usually go to Mayfair, but just as good. Took kids to enjoy the Lion Dance for Chinese New Year.

Had a fantastic experience. Staff very good, very attentive (but subtly so).

Food was great, cocktails were great, ambience with the smooth jazz DJ was really good and we were lucky enough to be there for Chinese New Year weekend so 'the dragon danced' for us!

All in all, cannot recommend highly enough and will certainly be going back.

Near the Dominion theatre where i had been to a matinee performance
Loved it here and all went so special until a table of 10 came next to me
Very bad foul language from some of them eating food all over the shop as very drunk...shame as a high priced place so put edge on it

If I would pay this amount for a fine dining experience, the service level would have been impeccable anywhere else in the world. Service was so poor and unresponsive, the wine list wasn’t great and over priced. It was a bad start as soon as I walked in as they couldn’t find my reservation, it took ages and 3 people. A badly run and overpriced restaurant. However the food quality was great, just overpriced for what it is and the service doesn’t match the price.

Great food, average service, but being asked to leave your table after 1 hour and 45 minutes to stand at the bar with your wine, water and after dinner cocktail leaves a bitter taste especially when they finally hand you a bill for over £250 per person. Inspite of the fact the food was spot on, I would struggle to go back to somewhere that has such little regard for the value of your custom.
