I don’t like the fact there is no paper menu - I saw an older man really struggling with the QR code only to be brought an iPad which he was struggling with. To be honest I didn’t enjoy the QR code situation either can we just have a menu when we ask for one.
The menu isn’t easy to navigate on your phone. The staff on arrival didn’t acknowledge our arrival and after quite a few minutes we had to interrupt their group conversation to get their attention.
The table was booked for two hours, but after 1 hour 40mins we were asked to move.
Excellent food ,especially the vegetarian, and service as usual
Overpriced. Extremely bad service - 30 mins wait to order, 30 mins wait to pay (person taking our payment didn’t even say thank you or anything). Worst thing is I booked an experience through opentable for the “Taste of Hakkasan” menu but when I arrived, they said that I couldn’t order from the menu anymore. Really disappointed. Easily the worst Michelin starred restaurant experience in London.
Came Sunday 19 for a Brunch. Disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the food was great, the service as well. However, I was used to the former Week-End Brunch menus that were significantly cheaper, with more options/choice as well as an extra cocktail included. It used to be possible to have an alcohol-free brunch, not anymore. The food was also better (especially the desert in mind). It was far away from a bad experience, but it is also very disappointing compared to past experiences. I probably won't come back.
Fabulous food and great service, but it’s very slow - 3 hours for lunch (though we did eat a lot!) Would recommend for a special occasion! Such lovely gestures to make it a really memorable lunch
Amazing food, great place, fantastic vibe!! A place to remember!! X
Lovely to be back after 20 months away!!
High quality food, great atmosphere, superb service.
Very Good , Food is exquisite
Still going strong after 20 years - great service and excellent food. We had their signature pearl menu, hughly recommended. Great sommelier with fun stories and loads of sake knowledge.
Excelente comida! Muy buena variedad incluido el postre. El ambiente acogedor. La atención fantástica tanto en oportunidad como en actitud.
Es uno de mis restaurantes favoritos!!
Perfect Resturant. Faultless service, food and decor.
This place is very pricey, but the food almost takes your mind away from how much you're about to spend. Very good atmosphere; polite staff; wonderful look to the restaurant. It was a great visit.
What an amazing meal. Loved every dish’s, especially the sift shell crab. We went as a group
Of 5 and every dish was outstanding. Loved the brilliant music and dj too. Seriously not one negative to mention.
Great vibe as always. Food was top notch as per usual. Music was so on point we had Shazam constantly out and used. It’s a splurge but well worth it. Insta fabulous and we will be back again
Food & service was exceptional
Packed in like sardines! Service was poor
Great way to celebrate my Olympic Games!
One of my favourite culinary experiences ever, loved every second. Definitely best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Also a cool place and service makes it total value. Great meal, great day out.
Brunch menu was awesome
Very slow service
Apart from dim sum dish which was very good every else was below average mainly because of being deep fried in bad quality oil.
Everyone left with stomach ache
Cocktails were amazing so thumbs up for the bartender
Service was ok and felt for the girls who struggled to be heard through the horrible noise.
Not a regular but definitely not coming back any time soon - overrated - overpriced and not worth the money
Food was brilliant.
Service was terrible and the music was that loud it was hard to hold a conversation.
Service fairly good, but should have been better as such a high price.
Food was good but not the best
We were initially given a table squeezed into a tight area with lots of traffic. Thankfully a really nice staff member acted quickly when we requested a better table for 6. After that the evening was superb. The most delicious food presented beautifully. The service was attentive and professional. The vegetarian dishes were excellent too. Only challenge was the music. It was good but loud, so not conducive to a good conversation. If you go, make sure you go with people you know well that are happy to just eat, chill and smile with contentment.
Second time I'd visited the Hanway place Hakkasan, once before COVID and once after.
There were 4 of us that all ate of the menu as opposed to set meal, the menu seems to be smaller than last time I went with more of an emphasis on the set meals which can be fairly pricy.
We had dim sum for starters to share which was superb, so we ordered another. This was followed by a whole duck which was presented to us then taken away to be served. The duck skin was served on small portions and the remainder of the duck was served as a dish with the main courses.
For mains we had several beef dishes which were all superb as well as a satay chicken which was also very good, lots of crispy skin.
The wine was good, but expensive (as is usual in most restaruants).
I look forward to going again in the future, but perhaps when the menu changes more so we can try a new range of dishes.
4th time there. As excellent as always.
I came for the first time for my birthday meal with my best friend.
We opted for the Shou set menu at £98 pp...great variety of dishes and good value.
Our server was very helpful and friendly but service was very slow and for a Tuesday evening this was quite surprising.
We arrived at 7.30 and left at 11.00pm. Long gaps between the starters mains and dessert and equally long waits for the drinks. This was a shame as it added a lot of extra time and as we had a commute back home and work the next day we really did end up staying out much later than intended.
As it was my birthday I was given a free dessert and candle etc which was a nice touch.
The restaurant is very loud and dark so if you are intending to have a catch up with a friend this is definitely not the place unless you are going to sit side by side to hear one another . Music playing was house music if I recall.
I would definitely recommend the duck salad, dim sum and Chilean seabass.
