We arrived at 8.28pm for our 8.30pm reservation and were told very rudely that as we were late our table had been given away. When I pointed out that we were on time for our reservation the front of house girl said ‘the system’ sometimes does this and offered no apology as if it was our problem.
A very bad start to our visit and the restaurant really needs to train its front of house staff to be more polite and organised.

My favourite at Hakkasan are the Singapore noodles and shrimp prawns dishes.

The food was truly delicious but the service was not great. It took a long time for anyone to come over to us to take our order. I had to ask the bus boy to go grab someone after 20-25 minutes of sitting there with no acknowledgement. When we asked the server for his recommendations, he said “everything on the menu is good or else it wouldn’t be on the menu”. Okay, RUDE. We were obviously not the first people to ask for menu guidance and did not appreciate the ambivalence. (We ordered their Phoenix set menu which was the perfect amount of food, if not a touch more food than truly necessary). It was a busy restaurant but we were tucked away downstairs which was helpful for noise and ambiance.

There is an understated entrance, which we missed to begin with (should have checked the logo) and the restaurant is in a great area. The food was fantastic, especially the dim sum and dessert and the staff attentive and friendly. We felt a little underdressed to be honest, might have gone a bit smarter (but we weren't totally alone in this). We visited with a Chinese friend who hadn't experienced Michelin Star dining before - he was very impressed.

Extremely long wait for average food.
Service charge was ridiculous for the actual service provided, loud and boring atmosphere.

Our dinner at Hakkasan was amazing. The service element was so gentle and professional. It truly does reflect and portray on how it is a michelin star restaurant. The food tasted delicious and was definitely worth the money. Moreover the way the staff were so discreet and understanding about the special request for my Fiancé birthday celebration was very very Good. Definitely a must visit place!!!

Very very poor service. Don’t go here. There are lots of better restaurants.

Food was amazing, staff were equally as good and attentive. The restaurant was extremely hot and for the price of the food we thought the amount that came up was questionable. The two hour time frame felt rushed especially as we wanted to order more wine and cocktails but couldn’t due to needing to vacate he table.

My daughter and I had a lovely evening with you, however, we both felt very rushed to finish to make the table available. I wouldn’t expect to spend the whole evening at the table, but neither would I expect to be rushed!

Good food overall, nothing special for a michelin starred restaurant. Prices are in the average.

One of best places to eat in London and I travel from the West Midlands. Slick service and good quality food even something isn’t quite suitable there’s no quibble. Hakkasan all the way for me.

The food was on point but the service charge should have not been included already though as it was £30 which is nearly of half the price of the Bamboo set menu we had. That should have been left for customers to pay themselves. It seems outrageous that the service charge is the same price as another dish or 2 NB that we could potentially could have ordered.
