Hakkasan was excellent. The date was not so.
The lunchtime 'Taste of Hakkasan' menu is fantastic value for money and the food of the usual high standard. We'd mentioned it was a joint birthday celebration and all our deserts came with candles in and a Happy Birthday message. A lovely touch.
We have visited Hakkasan Mayfair a few times and never disappoints. Always great service, superb food and clockwork organisation skills.
Might be me but it’s getting expensive, but it is worth the trip to go there.
Nice place, ambience was good, food good. I’d recommend it...
Great place and food was wonderful but our dinning experience was marred by our waiter telling us we had to leave our table before we were ready which was a pity
I have eaten at Hakkasan many times and always have had excellent dinners. The food was v good as usual. What was different was the service. Orders were taken quickly enough and our starts came in a reasonable amount of time. Then before we had finished them all our main courses were squeezed into the table. Barely space for them - and the waiter did not seem to think this was odd. We complained - he said the kitchen cooks whenever it can / no staggering. That’s fine in Wagamama but when over £100 a head it’s not. The waiter offered to take them back and restart but said it would be then 20-25 mins before they came. Too long so we kept them - and of course half cold when we ate them.
Full service charged as normal which I thought was v rich frankly. Time to eat elsewhere perhaps.
We celebrated my son's 16th Birthday at Hakkasan Mayfair last Sunday. It was our first visit and we were enthused by the flavours! One of our party was vegan and was well catered for. Overall a fabulous dining expereince.
Awesome as usual
Strange crowd, not nice ambience. Level of service has gone down. Music way too loud to speak.
I booked this restaurant for my birthday and I had an appalling experience. I had made it clear that it was my birthday when booking so I was expecting an exceptional level of service. Pe
Birthday meal was fantastic. The Peking duck was really well presented and all our dishes were delicious. Service was excellent. Would definitely recommend for a special celebration meal.
Been to Hakkasan restaurants in London and the rest of the world many times always great
Expensive and over rated , only good thing is the jamsmine rice and cocktails. don’t even bother.
I do love the food at Hakkasan and that is why I visit but at the same time, I find the kitchen is very unaccommodating. Food allergies are common these days so if you ask for a certain dish without a certain ingredient why is it so difficult to do eg. mixed vegetable without the lotus root, surely that is not asking too much of the chef!
I would highly recommend the Duck Salad however, I really do think the duck to salad ratio is too high......so if the management is reading this then please add more of the salad rather than reduce the amount of duck!
Absolutely amazing experience and food in an energetic atmosphere!
Delicious food. However the noise level was excessive and it was difficult to hear the people I was dining with. The music was too loud and other diners responded by talking loudly I be heard over the music. Service was erratic and after 2hrs we were moved off our table to finish our meal at a bar seat. We were given no prior notice of this and having booked an 8.30pm table this was most unexpected . An indicator that customer experience was secondary to volume of covers.
First time at Hakkasan after it was recommended by a friend, and it didn't disappoint. Went for a family birthday celebration on a busy Friday evening and I have to say, the food was exceptional, the staff were very professional and attentive in every way, but not too much. A bit on the expensive side but well worth it for a special occasion. I would high recommend and will definitely be back.
We booked this for a birthday meal and tried the taste of hakkasan menu as it was our first time. The food was great! So fulfilling and service was great
Would love to go again
Had the tofu aubergine and oyster mushroom in black bean sauce with steamed jasmine rice, delicious with good portion size, can be shared between two or for one if you haven't over indulged on the starters.
Hakkisan never disappoints anywhere in the world. The food is excellent!
Start with a cocktail, lychee martini for instance.
The dim sum selection very good - you need one portion for two people. Salt and pepper Squid soft and beautiful. Soft shell crab delightful.
Wok seared spotter sea bass special, Sanpei chicken clay pot and stir fry black pepper rib eye.
Wonderful - the only downside is the ridiculous markup on wine. Must be x5!
But of course I will be back.
NIce Restaurant, which was very turbulent and noisy, with very loud music, which one has to know. Nothing for a first date.
But we liked it, espsecially, because it was live from a DJ. The menu was great and we never had a better chinese Restaurant before.
You must try cod fish in Champagne
The texture of the fish is out of this world
I do not know what you should do more. From the munute I came in, until I went out, everything was great. Thank you. Well... maybe your somelier tried to sell too expensive wines...
Having dined here on numerous occasions I am never disappointed. The quality of food is excellent.
Food was great, drinks as well. Anyway, The waiter spilled some boiling oil on my clothes and hands from someone elses food (which is fair enough), but barely apologised. Very ignorante and did not bring me a tissue or towl to wash it off. It was not a nice smell on my clothes and forced me to end the night after hakkasan because i had to change my clothes.
