Hard Rock Cafe - Edinburgh
We invite you to drink, dine and enjoy yourself in a contemporary, laid back atmosphere. Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh is a vibrant and fun place to hang out among great pieces of Memorabillia to check out on your visit including Ringo Starr's Leather Jacket and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers Guitar.
Great meal , steak was delicious and exactly as ordered. Restaurant was very busy but we didn’t feel cramped or rushed. Our server was really good , attentive but not in your face. Just what we like and expect from Hard Rock 🤘🏻
My daughter and I have visited many HRC around the world and have always enjoyed the variety of cocktails and food on offer. Unfortunately, while our food was delicious as usual, we were very disappointed that the menu for both food and drink seems to have been radically reduced. I could not find a cocktail I fancied, the chardonnay was by the bottle not glass, and the menu was very limited. I was initially excited to find out I have a HRC coming to Newcastle where I live, sadly if your menus do not expand again I won't be visiting. Excellent service as usual though.
Excellent service had 2 young children with us which were made to feel very welcome. We were encouraged to ask for songs to be played on the jukebox. The children especially liked their meals were served on mini guitars
So ordered/reserved table for a special 23rd birthday weeks in advance.. Reserved a booth as my daughter (the birthday girl) is very very ill and needed a quieter area to sit as she has social anxiety too.. (this was all emailed and spoken to hard rock cafe in advance) Only to find they stuck us directly in the middle of the of the place on single wonky chair completely thrown down.. I said excuse me but this wasn't what we booked/reserved, I was then told by one staff member look you either want yo eat or you don't I have No more tables and you are not being moved so tuff luck.. I've never been so rudely spoken to i was mortified my daughter started panicking and I stopped another waitress to say excuse me but you need to find another table as she's to unwell to sit here and its ruining her birthday... The first waitress came bk and said look I told you you can't move so I took it upon myself to go around the entire place to find a quoter table. I therefor found one up at the back but it still wasn't a booth that I had specifically reserved and asked for due to medical reasons.. So we sat up there and after I sat down I saw two men get up from one of the booths and paid the bill.. I then asked if I cleaned the table could I get that booth please my daughter is starting to feel very unwell and yous are ruining her birthday 🎂.. This time a different waiter came up he said my name is FRANK how can I help I explained the situation and he said hold one I will make sure you get this booth.. From then he cleared everything and got us into the booth.. I told him about a caje for my daughter we brought with us and he said OK I will bring it out to yous after that the meal was lovely he was wonderful and made my daughters birthday very special... So in future go to the tables that Frank is working on as he is amazing.... Thank you Frank.. You rescued a nightmare situation... 👍
Great location in Edinburgh center, decor and vibe of the restaurant lively and fun. Our second visit but this time during the Edinburgh fringe so booking in advance is advised.
Great cocktails, friendly and efficient staff and tasty food. The steak salad with blue cheese and dressing was delicious as was the massive hot fudge brownie.
The menu was smaller than I remembered but is viewable online so we knew pretty much what we wanted before going, my son ordered the wings and dirty fries which unfortunately I never got to try as he woofed them down!
Not the cheapest place to eat but as a special treat worth a visit for that hard rock experience.
Brilliant atmosphere staff very helpful and friendly.
Great staff always a good welcome would not use Groupon menu too small and they have a choice ribs great
First time to Hard Rock Cafe. Really good experience. Staff very attentive. Food good. Did book as birthday booking daughters 13th and so we had a good table which I requested so really good from that point of view.
It was perfect, only the guy at the till in the shop was more busy talking to a colleague instead of paying attention to his costumers. Overall a nice experience with friendly staff.
I specifically asked if they had regular coke, was told they sold Pepsi, I said that’s fine I will have a regular Pepsi, she brought diet. I asked if it could be changed, for regular Pepsi, she said we only have diet on the gun. I don’t know why she didn’t mention it when I was asking about it. I don’t like Diet Pepsi.
Our table ordered 1 double burger and two steak salads. They all arrived at different times, one steak salad arrived then a few minutes later the other arrived, then a few minutes passed and the burger arrived. It meant we were all eating at different times.
Steaks were really tough too tough to finish and didn’t come with steak knives.
We ordered a milk shake right at the beginning when we placed a drinks order, before we had our starter. I asked the waitress twice when it would come, it didn’t arrive until I’d nearly finished my main course.
The bill came to £123, I gave the waitress £130 in cash but didn’t get any change.
The restaurant was busy but not hugely busy, there were a couple of empty tables when we were eating, many more by the time we were finished.
Excellent venue and service was first class. A bit on the noisy side but then that’s to be expected for a Hard Rock. Recommend the ribs if you are more than a little bit peckish, totally yummy
We've been to Edinburgh a few times but this was our first visit to Hardrock Cafe, everyone was very friendly and welcoming, a great atmosphere in a very busy restaurant, food was delicious,we will definitely visit again.
We went during the festival and the food was below the standard you’d expect from a Hard Rock
Very disappointed in our trip to Hard Rock Cafe. Edinburgh The food was very disappointing indeed. We went to the Glasgow cafe and that was 100% satisfying.
really lovely way to end our trip to Edinburgh, we went to Hard Rock two days before this visit and just had to come again as we loved the food and cocktails so much!
Ribs could have been more tender. Service and music was really good!
Had my daughters 21st birthday celebration there, it was a great atmosphere and service excellent. Its always a good venue
Service was a bit slow the staff were working very hard so maybe a couple more staff would help. Food & cocktails were good.
Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Das Essen war sehr lecker und man musste nicht lange warten, trotz das sehr viel Betrieb war.
I like Edinburgh Hard rock Cafe because it si small and confortable. The ceiling is fantastic. So you can think you’re in a old Town pub. And the sweet is Marvel Louis.
Amazing service and food was fantastic as usual but due to the rain we were very wet and the air con was on so was quite cold and personally I felt the music was too loud but overall great thank you
Really great atmosphere, haven’t been to a Hard Rock Cafe in years so felt very nostalgic, we all really enjoyed our food and left feeling super happy.. the only slight complaint is that we booked for 7.30pm but we still had to wait 10 minutes before being seated but it wasn’t a major issue as it allowed us time to pick a cocktail before we were seated
Cramped waiting area when waiting for your table to become free (there is a bar but no under 18s allowed)
Service was excellent
Food was standard chain food, nothing terrible but nothing special that would make me want to return
Everything was as you would expect from the HRC except the service. Our waitress had to be asked for things several times before we got them and she just generally didn’t treat us the way we have been treated in the past at other locations. This has put us off returning to the Edinburgh HRC although never say never as it was only one staff member, every other person we came into contact with was great.
Always enjoy a visit to ant Hard Rock. August being my birthday month I got a free entree
We waited an hour for food, the macaroni cheese with chicken was incredibly dry
Always enjoy hard rock and was sill good - however service wasn’t great with not much attention to what we were asking for and food unfortunately had to be returned twice
Amazing experience. Not like as Prague HRC is too bad.
Great atmosphere, fantastic service, lovely food. A great start to our holiday in Edinburgh.
It was what I would want my Hard Rock experience to be! The food was great, the service was superb. The most attentive service we had during our week in Scotland.
Hey the Service was brilliant we don’t have to wait long for a food my only issue was my mum salad didn’t even have any tomatoes or any coleslaw .
My dad sandwich looked nice but there was a very unusual piece of food on it there were apple slices look look nice . The food came came out great service my only issue was my burger wasn’t as warm as I was hoping it to be . The food Is always amazing but on Sunday it was okay . The staff are always welcoming and helpful and the service is great and they always pick up the phone if you have an issue because the table was originally built for me my dad but then my mum came along so the table is actually for three and they were very understandable about it so they put an The staff are always welcoming and helpful and the service is great and they always pick up the phone if you have an issue because the table was originally booked for me my dad but then my mum came along to the tables actually for three and they were very understandable about it so they changed it to 3 under my name I still come back because I love the decorations and the shop the quality of the clothing is okay and the hurricane glasses are amazing just be careful with them . I got a Huddy from there so my mum had to stitch it so she can get holes in it very easily And I got a baseball hat there which is amazing
The atmosphere is fantastic, the decor and music create an relaxed but excitable place to be. The food was awesome, one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Staff were friendly and attentive and everything was served quickly.
Will definitely go backs her next time I’m in Edinburgh.
Food was nice but table service was slow. Waited a while for drinks and pudding.
Always a great atmosphere. John who served us was great. Loved the music
Nice dynamic atmosphere and very friendly staff even if very busy--it is festival time though so no surprises there. Decent chicken burger and really really good brownie!
Had an experience voucher so set menu, but everything we needed for a pre show meal
Food was not great, ribs were dry like they were cooked hours ago, mash potato was very peppery and stodgy. Cocktails tasted very weak
Frank, our waiter, was awesome! In fact all of the staff were great. My daughter’s 17th birthday was extra special thanks to HardRock Edinburgh 🥰
Visit with young grandson
Great place to go especially on special occasions.
My partner asked for his steak rare and got it medium to well done. He didn't want to cause a fuss so just ate it but wasn't happy.
My friend ordered the steak salad and was told it would be cooked medium rare but it was cooked well done and was dry. Our server did take the salad off the bill however because he didn't eat it.
John, our server was lovely. We topped him and would be back but disappointed with the steaks. Other food we ordered was beautiful.
As the place got busier the service got slower. Food was lovely and all the staff were really nice and friendly. Would definitely return
