Hard Rock Cafe - Edinburgh
We invite you to drink, dine and enjoy yourself in a contemporary, laid back atmosphere. Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh is a vibrant and fun place to hang out among great pieces of Memorabillia to check out on your visit including Ringo Starr's Leather Jacket and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers Guitar.
Food and drinks were excellent and arrived quickly, the waitress was so helpful and extremely nice along with all the other staff that served us, excellent service.
All a bit rushed, and some mix up in regards to our order. Starter and main that were to be shared arrived all at the same time? The food was great though.
We have visited many Hard Rock Cafes and the Edinburgh one is up there with the best - of course the food is always great - portions too large but better than too small !! Really wish the sharing platter starter could be for two people as wen my husband and I order it we eat the lot and then can’t finish the mains . Tempted to try the haggis burger but couldn’t quite bring myself to do it !! The music was perfect as always a great mix of tunes and the memorabilia was very good to see. Finally our server - Verek I think his name was - was great - he knew the menu well and wen we asked for a break between starter and main he timed it perfectly. A great evening living up to all expectations- so much so we went back a second time!
Fabulous service! Would highly recommend!
Great location too.
staff very helpful great day with my daughter will be back
V disappointed with this visit. We've been to this restaurant many times, and booked this time due to the freddie mercury tribute week. It transpired there was no "tribute" activity at all the night we were there ~ why make it for a week if you're not going to do anything? Food was the usual standard and service was excellent as always, we just left feeling a bit cheated by the experience.
I always visit Hard Rock Cafe wherever I go so when I seen there was one in Edinburgh we had to visit whilst in the city. Service was great, our waiter was really helpful giving us places to go afterwards with it being our first time in Edinburgh. Food was lovely, my only fault was the steak on the fajitas was very chewy which made it hard to eat. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you are looking for somewhere quiet where you can relax and have good conversation because it is so loud you can hardly hear yourself.
I would recommend the Hard Rock Cafe in Edinburgh to anyone, amazing food and the cocktails are amazing and the desserts are fantastic and the music is fantastic and the shop is wonderful too. I will certainly be going back in November this year.
Food good as always. The rest of the experience wasn’t quite as good as usual though, partly because even though the restaurant was fairly empty we were seated near a noisy group of around 16 blokes noisily drinking cocktails. The server was friendly and amenable, although he forgot our water he remembered the beer so could have been worse! Then we were given soup spoons to eat dessert which gave my wife some difficulty with her ice cream sundae glass so all in all sadly a rather so so experience for a £50 meal.
Was a bit disappointed that it was supposed to be Freddie for a week, but there was nothing happening. It was the main reason I went. Still enjoyed the food and the staff were great. Would go back.
Staff were very friendly and the food was delicious, even if it is a bit pricey
Disappointed nothing special and over priced for what it was.
Good food, iconic place to eat, especially if you a fan of rock music!
Lovely friendly staff, amazing food, great atmosphere, highly recommend!
Excellent food, great service. Staff were very friendly & hospitable. Looking forward to going back soon
Disappointed had to wait 10 minutes for table when pre-booked it
Found it hard to have a conversation due to music being very loud
Feel the dishes are slightly overpriced.
Family of 3 for 3 courses £119. 2x alcoholic drinks and 2 lemonades.
Bit overpriced in my opinion. Although the food was fab it wasn’t anything significant that you can’t get at other restaurants for around £30/£40 less.
Great staff and atmosphere though!!
Only let down was my 13 year old daughter not being able to sit in the bar seating area whilst we waited for our reserved table. “It wasn’t allowed as she is a child” even though this isn’t the licensing law in Scotland??
My husband and I came for our first wedding anniversary. We were about 15 minutes early and were given our buzzer so we went to the bar to order our cocktails. We were escorted to our table by a lovely lady who I'm absolutely gutted I can't remember the name of and got a lovely compliment about my shoes. Our waitress arrived a few minutes later but came back again as we weren't ready to order. We both ordered different burgers and the stack of onion rings and the food was absolutely outstanding. We then ordered desserts which we didn't particularly enjoy, I was charged £4 for a small bowl of ice cream which tastes like supermarket bought ice cream and my husband wasn't too keen on his cheesecake. My husband then ordered me a strawberry daiquiri which didn't quite taste right so they made me another one which was yummy. We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary but we really weren't made to feel that special and we weren't offered anthing that made it memorable.
if you are prepared for the noise they you will have a good experience, the food is nice and the service is great.
der Platz im Raum ist sehr eng es gibt nicht genügend Platz zwischen den Tischen.
It was my daughters 16th birthday and the staff were brilliant. Bit pricey but overall the quality of the food was amazing. It would be brilliant if the staff were able to play a special request song for the birthday girl but the staff singing happy birthday to her was in itself an amazing experience for her
The best part of the restaurant was the friendliness of the staff and how no request, big or small, was ever too much.
I would only suggest more careful thought be placed in the premises from the roadside, to the bar and to your table before accessing other facilities such as the disabled toilets. I would strongly urge a manager or other senior member of staff spend a whole week in a wheelchair to see how important things like ramps when either dry or wet and things like turning circles are to wheelchair users. Other retail chain pubs/restaurants/hotels have benefited from such experiences allowing the not completely obvious disabled life events from tarnishing what should be a memorable meal for all the right reasons.
My food was under cooked and not edible, when speaking to waitressing staff they called over the manager whom appeared very rude and didn’t have the curtesy to apologies about the quality of the food. Instead walked away with the food and never returned. The restaurant didn’t deal with the issue in the correct manner. I will not return.
Ordered a chicken club sandwich as my main and it was the driest thing I’ve ever tasted. Chicken was over cooked and was horrendous to eat! Got nachos as a starter, and again they were horrid! Tortilla crisps with a tiny sprinkle of toppings, then you have the cheek to charge extra money for guacamole! That should be part of nachos, not charged extra!! The waiter was all cheery and happy until I paid by card and selected no for tip, then he became very blunt and rude. I was in fact going to leave a cash tip for him, but after that I thought otherwise. I will never return to this restaurant and will tell everyone of how poor my experience was! £72 bill and it was absolutely disgusting.
Great food! Fantastic atmosphere if you like it lively & loud , great vibe, throughly enjoyable for our first visit!
Been to the Hard Rock in Edinburgh and it never disappoints. You get exactly what it says on the tin. On this particular occasion the staff member dealing with us went out of her way to make it a special birthday celebration for my daughter - fantastic
Very expensive for what you get. Really nice decor and good music played. Wrong food given at main course. Very nice staff
Had a lovely experience - great food, staff and atmosphere. Felt extremely comfortable and would love to visit again!
Service slow although restaurant was not especially busy.
First timers visiting with my son and daughter - it was extremely busy but staff were great and very friendly and attentive despite being run off their feet! There was a mix up with our order which was sorted out very quickly- they were very apologetic and knocked it off the bill. Just goes to show how you can make a mistake but handle it well and still make your guests feel happy!! I don’t often order a burger but this one was GOOD!
Family day out in Edinburgh - great experience and our waitress Benni was brilliant - we’ll definitely be back in Edinburgh and will definitely revisit Hard Rock.
Unfortunately they were out of stock of the following, lager on tap, Rose wine, edible flowers in the cocktail - nice cocktail glasses, amongst other things - the actual alcohol milkshake only had one piece of kit Kat in it unlike the photo on menu. The server was apologetic and seemed very friendly. This is the first Hard Rock Cafe I’ve been to that seems to lack atmosphere.
Had a confirmed booking of a table but had to wait 15 minutes on arrival before being seated. Noise level is very high. The double Cheeseburger was mediocre.
Staff is very friendly.
We have been to Hard Rock Cafe for over a decade. It's always been special every time. The standard is always superb and the food and drinks have always been amazing.
Overaa a very good meal but arrangements for kids is not acceptable. We arrived at 745 for our table and told it was not ready. We were also told that we could not wait in the bar area as we had kids..... yes law of Scotland stops kids from standing in a bar area of a restaurant at 745 ??!!! whilst waiting for a table.. Instead we had to stand in the way of everyone for 20mins in the entrance whilst we waited for our table. Come on find a more appropriate solution or make sure our table is ready. Once we sat down it then took a further 35 mins for our drinks to arrive (although not our kids drinks who had had their own within 5 minutes)
Shame this was so poor as the meal at the rest of the evening was great. Burgers excellent and atmosphere good. Manager did his best to apologise but the law in Scotland and the impact it has on things like this is just madness.
Will be go back.... no not because of the Resturant but more because Scotland is so non family friendly with rules like this!
We had a lovely meal but music was to heavy for our taste. Menu hard to decide for vegetarians
This is umpteenth visit on this occasion service below par waitress spilt coke down top which is dry clean only manager took me outside to speak to me to not cause any hassle ?! Not going back
Very good food and service. Reasonable prices and food came very quick.
As a fan of mexican food the nachos and margaritas are a must! Never disappointed when we visit! Twisted mac n cheese is always a winner too
