This rural haven in the middle of Fulham is a collaboration between Brett Graham of the famed Ledbury restaurant, Mike Robinson of the acclaimed Pot Kiln pub in rural Berkshire and Edwin Vaux from the famous Vaux brewery.
The idea is to provide Londoners with a really relaxed venue for eating the finest British produce, cooked amazingly well, accompanied by excellent beer and wine at a great price.
Wow what a night! From the moment we stepped in the door to the moment we left we were looked after the service and thoughtfulness was over and above! We arrived early and had a glass of wine at the bar until our reservation time rolled around.
On my way back from the loo I bumped into the chef sally who was very kind and listened politely to me carry on about how excited we were to be dining and that it was my sisters birthday, how she was over from Oz to surprise me for my birthday a few days before ( I over shared massively but I was genuinely happy to be there and very excited to share this experience with my sister I had not seen for 2 years) as I said Sally was very kind
When we arrived at our table there was a hand written card to my sister wishing her a happy birthday and from then On we received nothing but the very best in service and food, the food was to die for well cooked, tasty, seasonal and local! What more could you ask for... my sister was gluten free and wasn’t at all disappointed with her selection ( which is a rarity)
After dessert was delivered was were also presented with not 1 but 2 bonus birthday plates with yummy chocolate parfait ( sally had remembered both our birthdays how lovely)
The value for money in this venue is phenomenal 3 courses of absolutely delicious, well presented, just the right amount of food!! For under £50...
Book now or you will be disappointed!!!
Thank you team Harwood arm you were amazing.
Best restaurant in London
The food is totally superb adventurous without being scary!
Delicious homemade Guinness soda bread
Friendly staff in relaxed atmosphere
Couldn’t recommend more highly
I will be back
Great food. Good wine list. Friendly staff. We’ll definitely be back
Locale eccellente, atmosfera incantevole. Consigliato!
Really nice food, worth travelling west for. Different and fresh menu with lots of seasonal options.
The Harwood Arms NEVER disappoints. Servers are friendly and knowledgeable. Food is crazy off the charts good. While more upscale dining than pub, the setting is casual and comfortable. Venison anything, including their Scotch egg, is excellent. Memorable spot.
Dined there many times as we are local. Brought friends too. Quality of food consistently high. Excellent service. Perfect ambiance.
Another wonderful lunch at The Harwood Arms. Wonderful service and delicious food
There are so many wonderful gastropubs in London. Why this one caught a food critic’s eye is baffling. The beer selection is crap and the food is predictable. Gastropub? The very best thing about it is the neighborhood.
Outstanding food, fantastic service and great wine. Everything we were expecting and more.
We loved Harwood Arms! It's noisy so we had to shout, but the food was excellent, in particular my deer, which was outstanding. The sweetbreads I started with were good too, though perhaps a little too crispy so that their flavour didn't come across as well as it might have done. Others also were pleased with their choices. The wine list doesn't offer a great deal at the lower to mid price range, but we managed, and had a great evening. Parking can be tricky -- read the signs very carefully.
Amazing food, not simply of the best quality but really interesting and exciting recipes.
Very nice staff and an atmosphere between a pub and a restaurant, which is really refreshing.
I would change the music..
Gnats. Gnats. Gnats. What is all the fuss about? This is just a pub. Food is fine but under cooked. Waitress “shamed” us for not eating it all. Apparently, it’s ok to bring your dog in. Jeez. And did I mention the gnats? Save the cab fare and eat somewhere else!!!
Loved it! Had a great evening at the Harwood Arms as a first timer. My dining companion was a regular. The atmosphere was great and the food delicious. Even the water poured over the candle setting the table flowers alight couldn't dampen the experience. Highly recommend; will be returning before the year is out!
As usual the kitchen and wait staff exceeded our expectations. Food was spectacular; service was spot on and friendly.
It’s always a pleasure having a meal at The Harwood Arms
Nice simple decor. A little bit overpriced.
Amazing place. Great quality and excellent value for money
Highly recommend!!! We always are sure to stop in when we are in town for the Sunday Roast.
Great service and the food was the best
Best sunday roast
I went with my parents to the Harwood Arms based on a friend recommendation. The 3 of us really loved the food and the ambiance. I would definitely recommend it the food there is delicious!
My friend and I had dinner here on our last night in London. Everything was outstanding. It’s difficult to say which course was our favorite. Our server was wonderful, friendly and helpful in answering any questions we had about the menu. Highly recommend adding the scotch egg!
One of my absolute favorite places to eat and drink in the world
One of the nicest lunches we’ve had in a while, great choices, excellent attentive staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience
Harwood arms was spectacular. I would 100% go back...and am now looking forward to a Sunday roast there.
Not our first visit, but this time we were a little disappointed. The bread wasn't quite as tasty. My companion's venison was too salty. Neither of us was thrilled by our sweet course.
The service was excellent. There were birthday wishes waiting on the table, and a small but beautiful birthday desert was presented.
The management didn't charge for one of the deserts to compensate for the disappointment with the venison.
Always make us feel so welcome (and our dog)... the service was amazing
Experience was lovely at Harwood Arms. Menu is set to 3 course meal with delicious options to select from each course. Crab Royale was amazing! Must try! & let’s not forget the bread and butter... delicious !
Delightful “no frills” culinary experience. Food was superb .
The food is always good here, the venison scotch egg in particular is special.
Great time and great food , didn’t break the bank this time
We had Sunday roast and it was delicious!! A large amount of food but it was wonderful! And our server was darling, so very helpful in recommendations and tentative as was her assistant. We had a great visit and would definitely recommend to friends. Excellent quality of food and wonderful drinks as well.
Fantastic food and excellent presentation! Portions are humongous which could be positive or negative thing - I personally would have liked smaller portions and savour a bit, but no other complaint. It was fantastic food!
I had heard some good things about this place but they didn't match what I found. From the greeting as we entered to the goodbyes when we left the staff were superb, many 5 star hotels could take a leaf out of this place's book for staff attitude.
I brought a friend who had never visited the UK and, genuinely, thought our cuisine stretched no further than fish and chips... so this was a great showcase for just how impressive we can be in the UK. My friend was blown away by it, from the rich and bite worthy venison scotch egg through to the velvety, flavorsome, sumptuous deer and pork jowl main dishes it was indescribably delicious.
thanks loads to the chefs and staff at this hidden gem of a place... you deserve every accolade we can give you... especially now my friend is raving to all her colleagues and acquaintances to visit the UK!
The food was lovely and staff better still in a lovely restaurant - it's not really a pub from what I could see! Lovely little touches on account of my wife's birthday were very much appreciated and we will definitely return.
Loved the food, loved the service, had a great dining experience! I would definitely recommend the deer shoulder!
great food, excellent value, will definitely return
We had the lunch special wich was really good value-for money. Very high-level food, 3 courses, nicely presented at a reasonable price.
Great food service & nice old pub style place- only draw back, it just gets too loud!
