What is it with Hawksmoor. It’s a steak restaurant that mixes up orders and messes up the simple task of cooking a steak. Happily the rest of our group celebrating a graduation had lovely food which they really enjoyed. I asked for a rib eye medium rare which came out medium-well. The next appeared as the French would describe “blue” ...... such a shame. Customer care rescue by the excellent waitress removed my steak from the bill. Thank you. Better to get it right first time.

Probably the best breakfast you can find in Central London, executed with efficiency that shows this place is run and staffed by people who care about what they do. No mucking about by staff they are on point for customers. Exceptional venue, please don't change the formula.

Fabulous evening celebrating my birthday with family. Service was truly outstanding, our waiter Taylor went above and beyond. Great food, wine choices weren't exceptional but overall we had a really lovely time. The Hawksmoor old fashioned in the dessert section was divine too.

Great steak restaurant that delivers what it says on the tin. Better then Gouchos and Goodmans in my opinion due to better starters, sides and desserts.

Pretty good all round but not stellar. Sort of what you would expect but not better. Slightly underwhelming in a basement with little character. A city business lunch place for sure - with prices to match

We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary at the Hawksmoor Guildhall. A lovely evening. The staff greeted us, noted our wedding anniversary and looked after us well. The food was amazing. Not a cheap night, but the food was magnificent.

Overall a disappointing experience when I visited for a special lunch the other day. The restaurant wasn't busy however the service was poor. Each stage of the meal from entering to choosing, ordering & finally getting our food, was very slow. This spoilt what otherwise would have been a good experience as the food & ambiance was good.

Ate from the bargain set menu early. Love the potted beef and Yorkshire pud starter, can’t go wrong with a hawksmoor steak, and squeezed in the excellent sticky toffee sundae!
Staff were excellent, from initial greeting to departure. We’ll be back before long.

The steaks here are second to none in my opinion. I had the deal which was a good menu choice. The caesar salad was lovely, the steak divine and the sticky toffee sundae simply the best. This is one of my favourites and I'll definitely be going back for another steak.

Fabulous lunch at Hawksmoor Guildhall today, caught the end of the lunchtime service which was fantastic because the restaurant is emptying out and therefore the noise levels are lower and the attention the service team can offer diners is high. Food was excellent as always from Hawksmoor, onion rings are an absolute must, they are incredible!!!

Being a regular diner at Hawksmoor Air Street, this was our first visit to Guildhall and we were not disappointed. Excellent cuisine and most helpful staff who dealt with slight issue of undercooked steak most professionally and efficiently. The Malteser dessert was the “piece de la resistance” a perfect ending to a fantastic family dinner.

As always, Hawksmoor hits the spot. Fantastic service and the food was excellent as always. A delightful evening. Definitely go for the steak (these people know steak) and try to squeeze in a cocktail.
Compared to other Hawksmoor branches, the Guildhall branch was a little too brightly lit, with more noise and casually dressed diners than other branches which makes it feel slightly less special (as I imagine most people go to Hawksmoor for a special evening out). You'll still get the same Hawksmoor charm at Guildhall but its ambience could have been better.

Really fantastic food - great menu and provided a really good meal. Service was pretty 'casual' and we had to keep prompting to see menus, requesting if we could order for example which was odd.

In general though, didn't really take away from the experience and the steak was really high quality and justified the cost.

I went with my adult nephews and we always go to steak restaurants. This was the least good in our experience. Our waitress was not exactly friendly ( although her colleagues were), unsmiling and perfunctory. I can live with that but the food was poor. I didn’t finish my sirloin. All four of us were disappointed. The room itself is very loud and makes normal conversation tricky. To top it all it is pricey. Sadly disappointing.

Went with family and partner to celebrate a birthday. Was pleased to see that they put a candle in the dessert of the people celebrating. On top of the excellent food and reasonably priced set menu we had a good evening with those that wanted to push the boat out and those being a bit more sensible all being well served at this restaurant.

Food was nice and service was excellent. Desserts not that impressive. Our waiter was lovely but unfortunately he dropped a full glass of RED wine in my friend’s clothes and all over our table. The waiter was very apologetic and wanted to pay for her meal and for her dry clean but my friend didn’t accept as it was coming from his pocket. We were surprised the restaurant didn’t step in and took care of her bill or at least offered something. Very disappointed in the restaurant posture.

Very good food and had some interesting recommendations on the wine list. The lamb had run out on the summer menu which was disappointing and we were overcharged for a few items (fillet tail subsitute for lamb being off was extra and sauces we were told complimentary went on the bill) but on the whole very good. Waiting service was not quite as good as previous occasions but the sommelier was excellent.
