Great service, great food, fantastic location and ambience
Service was okay until our mains which took a long time to arrive. We went for the chateaubriand which is normally fantastic. It was cooked correctly but the meat itself had either been left out or was going off. Either way it was a terrible piece of meat...not a good sign for a steakhouse. Will go back to Goodman next time
The place has such friendly and amazing staff, I felt so welcomed and looked after. The free cocktail for our anniversary was a pleasant surprise and the food was amazing and tasted wonderful. I would definitely come back again
This was my 5th visit to Hawksmoor Guildhall and as usual, it was spectacular. Their breakfast for two is a *must* when visiting London!
We went here for a birthday. Staff were incredible, made a big fuss and ensure it was a lovely experience from beginning to end. Food as always was high quality. Our table had a mixture of starters, lobster and steak for mains. Everything was high quality and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend!
We had then breakfast for two for my partners birthday. The food was outstanding, as well as the service. We felt very welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
The Hawksmoor breakfast to share is amazing best ever and would definitely recommend the cornflake shake with bourbon
Hawksmoor is one of those places that make visiting London always a worthy experience. The food is great, the presentation and service are outstanding and the drinks are something you wish you've had every day.
Hawksmoor never disappoints and the service is never less than five star, with staff who do friendly with an absence of cloying over-familiarity better than anywhere. It’s always expensive but generally worth it. Our T Bone steak was very very good, perhaps not great. That’s likely personal pretence and choice of cut more than anything. We brought our own bottle and took advantage of the brilliant £5 corkage offer. The cork was wet but the (expensive) bottle was expertly decanted. Desserts of pavlova and a sticky toffee sundae were superlative. I still think the roast at their Covent Garden branch or the bar menu at all of them offers the best value Hawksmoor experience. However it remains highly recommended across the board. Just get someone else to pay if you’re going all out on the steak menu
Nice meal but steak was not evenly cooked and so a bit disappointing. House Malbec was OK but below average against Malbec generally, not great value.
Having decided we needed a new year treat, we felt that Hawksmoor was the best place to go and we made the right choice. As always, the waiters were all very knowledgeable, the food was divine, the wine was perfect and the ambience just right for a Friday night
I came here with a client of mine to celebrate getting a new job.
The food was great but the service really was shocking. Given it was 2pm on a Friday and not very busy at all, the service was not what we expected at all.
We had to ask twice to get more beers. We were given the desert menue and no one returned to take the order. So we deceived to leave.
It wasn’t me who wanted the desert it was my client and it was actually him who was more disappointed about the service. But it was me who chose to bring him to your resteraunt and it made me feel embarrassed to bring him there given how shocked he was by the service.
It’s safe to say that I won’t be using that restaurant again, I will be letting all of my clients know about the poor service and I will inform my office (a min walk away) of how shocking the service was and to use another resteraunt in the future.
We had an absolutely lovely afternoon the service was spot on and the food amazing we will definitely be back
Excellent service and high quality food. We went mid-week for breakfast, so it was much quieter than at peak times. The staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel very welcome, including giving my sister a complimentary cocktail for her birthday. The breakfast was excellent - good ingredients, cooked to perfection and generous portion sizes. I would definitely come here again and it was a nice treat for a special occasion.
Food was ok, but my filet steak was chewier and drier than any I’ve had before anywhere. Service was disinterested, and the room was literally and emotionally cold (food also cooled down very quickly)
Everything was great apart from my main, I ordered filet steak and I have requested for it to be cooked well done and unfortunately that made it quite chew and also the sides weren’t really well done and I can see the blood which put me off. If I go back I will definitely not have a steak and was not worth £36. Service and atmosphere was great :-)
Best steak I’ve had in London, highly recommend the fillet with the anchovy hollandaise!
Great bar and cocktails before we got seated, and our waitress was fantastic.
Also highly recommend trying the chocolate ‘Tributes’ that rhyme with polos..
Excellent food, excellent service, casual ambiance. Perfect for groups and families. Sticky toffee pudding alone is worth the trip.
Great restaurant if you want to have a cocktail with breakfast. We did the Hawksmoor breakfast for 2 and it was a lot of food for 2 people. I've never seen so many people order a shaky Pete's cocktail at 10 o clock in the morning. (You'll understand when you go).
Great way to celebrate with team before the Christmas holidays
The Hawksmoor breakfast for two was outstanding! The cornflake milkshake is a must!!
Poker face reception，they have a “whatever you like it or not，we are busy，we are making a big money with or without you” attitude. And it takes forever to get the bill and check out. After I told the waitress that I want to pay the bill，she passed my table 10 times but never bring it to me，I had to ask again and again.
Great spot especially for a Christmas lunch with clients. Fabulous steaks, starters and puddings.
Food and service was good however, the restaurant was too noisy making it very difficult to hold a conversation.
It was very very loud which made conversation tricky!
👍🏻Quality food, excellent bar staff and our waiter was very nice
👎🏻Too noisy, acoustic of the restaurant is poor possibly due to low ceilings, we had to talk loud during meal
Great service, excellent menu and top quality food
The food was great and so was the service. While making a reservation I was
We came for a birthday dinner. The staff were friendly and attentive. We felt very special.
The food was amazing
Steaks very very good, service good despite being busy due to Christmas bookings.
Steak outstanding, as usual. Still dreaming about it. My only gripe was the noisy location of the table but I cannot really complain as I got a late booking in the middle of the Christmas rush, for which I am grateful, and the staff did try to find a quieter location. Minor gastro comment: the chips done in dripping should be proper chips not Macdonalds fry-size.
Amazing breakfast with fresh ingredients. Outstanding overall
Fantastic Porterhouse steak and a good bottle of claret. Busy and noisy at Xmas, of course. Hawksmoor always delivers, but a bit pricey...
The food is pretty good and we had excellent service. Unfortunately, I wouldn't suggest Hawksmoor Guildhall if you want to have a conversation. Could barely hear the person next to me due to the noise levels. Ended up having to yell across the table and still not being heard.
All the staff know what they are doing whether it's the wine or the food and always attentive and as usual the food was lovely
Professional service and nice food as always
We booked this for our annual Christmas Dinner. Due to our large size we were offered the private room, and we were very pleased with the exclusivity and great service. There's a minimum spend, but we easily hit that amount and more. The food was delectable, and there were more than adequate options available for vegetarians and non-beef eaters. I can highly recommend this establishment, and look forward to returning in future.
Good steaks but my starter had a black curly hair in it!! Waiter was very nice and apologetic about it but obviously put me off my food a bit.
We took clients out, venue good for business lunch but it is a bit loud.
Absolutely fantastic food (and cocktails) literally cant go wrong - breakfast lunch or dinner!
