Amazing breakfast with fresh ingredients. Outstanding overall
Fantastic Porterhouse steak and a good bottle of claret. Busy and noisy at Xmas, of course. Hawksmoor always delivers, but a bit pricey...
All the staff know what they are doing whether it's the wine or the food and always attentive and as usual the food was lovely
Professional service and nice food as always
Good steaks but my starter had a black curly hair in it!! Waiter was very nice and apologetic about it but obviously put me off my food a bit.
We took clients out, venue good for business lunch but it is a bit loud.
Terrible feels like a tired weatherspoons that you pay over inflated prices for, service was terrible staff members didn’t smile once, food was poor overall atmosphere was that of a pub not able to talk without shouting. Overall terrible.
The food is so amazing, fillet steak I had was cooked just right, seasoned and juicy flavour. The sides were incredible. I'm going back again in 1 week's time because it needs another visit straight away
Fantastic steak- very noisy and crowded but the food more than made up for it
Best breakfast in London, hands down, no competition.
Very high quality food and excellent laid-back service. Make sure you take advantage of the £5 per bottle corkage on a Monday. The prices are high, but it is good as a treat. Expect to pay £60-£80per head (for three courses) excluding alcohol. It is particularly popular with bankers and suits, so if that is not your style then avoid.
Not as good as Spitalfields. Lacks warmth. Sommelier was ace and food wasn’t as I’d expect
Great place for cocktails and fine steaks. The noise level in the restaurant is unfortunate. It would appear the low ceiling and the amount of people just talking causes a loud background noise. If you are hard of hearing this can be problematic if you are seated in the centre of the dining area.
Great as always. Excellent steaks, cocktails, and post-dinner spirits. Not cheap but worth it!
Had an absolutely professional and enjoyable experience with business colleagues from start to finish. From reception upstairs, reception downstairs, the bar staff to the waiting staff. I had asked for a round table and got one, this was great because it means you can all talk. Barnett was our main server and he was great, helping me with wine choices and generally very helpful. The only down side was that two people asked for fried eggs and didn't get them but as it was a big party and a big order, it was unavoidable. I would have liked a few more sides of macaroni cheese as everyone wanted that and it was very small and I didn't order enough! Thank you as always and see you again soon.
Excellent food with an excellent friendly service.
Another visit to Hawksmoor Guildhall and another excellent breakfast- it is my go to restaurant in The City for client morning meetings.
Steak not that flavoursome. Pudding ok but coffee came before it. Wine choice expensive but good. Expensive overall for meal of its kind
This was my worst visit - one of our steaks, a sirloin, was a send-back but my guest was too polite to complain. The starter were eye wateringly expensive despite being small and pretty dull.
Fab meal. Great service
Outstanding food, steak and sides are the best around.
Hawksmoor never let you down!
Everything was very good - I will back!
An old friend who I am always delighted to visit , steak cooked to perfection and the best sticky toffee pudding on the planet
Steak (porterhouse 900g) was very very dry with the fillet section being just one tiny portion of the overall steak. I've had this cut dozens of times with a much more egalitarian split between the two; as is after all the point of the premium pricing on the cut.
Dining Room is louder than a nightclub, inhibiting easy conversation. Needs some acoustic dampening installed. Staff very good, friendly and attentive and quick with drinks etc. Had a few different By The Glass red wines, none of which i enjoyed. Drink offered by staff by way of apology for the steak issues.
Excellent wine - Lebanese, outstanding Fillet Steak and the sides were wonderful - mushrooms, Mash and Gravy and Spinach. Delicious. The dessert was splendid - Tom and Jerez for me, lovely, and Peanut Butter Shortbread for my friend - which blew his socks off. See you soon. Not cheap, but worth it
I have never had a bad meal here whether it be for breakfast or lunch. Staff are very competent and nothing is too much trouble despite being very busy on occasions. I would highly recommend this venue. the food is great.
The food here was good thats the one thing i cant fault! However they have a acoustic problem so it was so loud you couldn’t hear the music or have a conversation, i came out with a migraine! Our server forgot about us/ignored us most of the night and served all the other tables around us! Would not visit this venue site again im afraid...
Very good lunch - best steak in town.....bit noisy
Food definitely not as hot as it should have been.
Service middling- orders forgotten or wrong item was brought
After paying, no receipt was offered
Great location, exceptional but relaxed staff, great cocktails, great steaks, delicious crab starter...on this visit, sadly, the burger was overcooked. On a previous visit - one of the best burgers I've ever tasted in London
Bit too loud overall but amazing food
I have to say that we were very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed our evening with you. The food was to the usual high standard and the service was equally excellent.
We will be back I'm sure.
Outstanding food in a great setting! HG always delivers.
The food was good - both my scallop starter and the rump steak. I also liked the wine list - lots of choices at not too crazy prices for London. The thing I didn't like is the noise level: it is one enormous room with wooden floors and nothing at all to dampen the sound. The restaurant was full when I went, and whilst I am all for a lively atmosphere, I don't like literally having to shout across a small table to make myself heard to my guest.
Just lush! Nothing else to say apart from that and I think you should sell salted caramel rolos in shops
Food was great, we had Steak and the Lobster-Mac&Cheese. Only the sauce that came with the mac&cheese was not my taste at all. Its a really cool restaurant with great amience, but it gets quite noisy.
I would recommend it for dinners with parents and on special occations. Try the steak, its perfect!
Great steak as always. Wine typically pricey for what you get and service is not always the quickest.
Quality is high and service excellent and attentive. So far the best steak in town. Busy and vibrant. Detractors were 2: Noise level is not „energetic“ is is too loud. You need to speak up and have the hearing ability of a bat. Definitely not easy for business meetings but great for booze banker type out for a good time. Second item - I did not check my bill when paying which was split with a friend and we were both overcharged £15 each. Can happen but should not.
Great food, terrible service. Only ordered one course and it took forever- not great given high prices. No apology for delay either. Also very loud because there’s no sound insulation, but not going out loud- more of a general din.
Once for real meat eaters - Bone Marrow or Pork Chop for breakfast!
The chateaubrian was over cooked. Reserved a table at 8 but only got to sit at 820.
