A birthday treat that will long be remembered. Fantastic food and friendly service. Great stylish surroundings. Loved it- thanks to all.
Really beautiful Art Deco style venue. The food didn’t live up to expectation nor did the wine. We started with a glass of the hawksmoor blend malbec which was awful we moved on to a £65 bottle of something that the waitress told us was better than a Malbec...it was mediocre at best. I had the crab starter which was bland and my partner had the mackerel which he liked we both had the chateaubriand we asked for fillet but the waitress suggested we have the chateaubriand as it was much nicer. It was again really mediocre, the creamed spinach was delicious however. I know it’s a chain but Gaucho had better steak and wine this really wasn’t great.
My only steakhouse choice when I go to London. Never had a bad steak there. It’s always delicious. If only they had one near where I live!!
We went for the summer deal and were knocked out by the choice, the execution and the fabulous taste of the dishes we ate. And we're a picky bunch too...
Great set menu....burger, fries and cocktail for £20. Top value!
Always a great experience and good steaks at the Hawksmoor.
Also nice touch with the birthday request.
The rump steak was very flavourful and perfectly cooked to medium rare.
We were lucky enough to eat during the soft launch of the new summer menu.
Food was fantastic as always and the service was great
I have been to several Hawkesmoor restaurants over the years and the food is always good with this particular deal it made it good value and well worth the trip. The money we saved on food we spent on cocktails and wine to make the experience more pleasurable. The only slight disappointment was a lack of flexibility with dietary problems where certain things on a plate just had to be not eaten rather than an alternative although the quality of the food and the meal deal compensated for this. I am looking forward to anymore such food deals' from Hawkesmoor well done.
Go there for a fantastic steak and do not forget the excellent side dishes. The interior is somewhat dark and a bit outdated but that is of less consequence, food is great !!
Just ok. Expected much more
Sunday roast with friends.
Superb Sunday roast !!!
Wonderful wine list with some real gems !!
A great lunch! Food was excellent and staff attention outstanding.
We knew that meat is Hawksmoor's main value and it didn't disappoint us. We tried the T-Bone and the Sunday Roast, they were really good, we wish we could try anything else next time.
I also keep a great memory of their Hawk IPA beer and 'Ambassador' dessert. Congratulations!
Very Good Sunday lunch, Beef pink and tender and the wine was of good quality. One of the best Sunday lunches we have had in a restaurant
Outstanding!!!! It was our wedding anniversary and they made it so special for us!!!!! 5 stars
Went there with 2 of my friends who were visiting from Spain (so know their meat) and just got engaged (so wanted something special); on both sides Hawksmoor did not disappoint!
The scallops and maquerel salad we had for starters were delicious and fresh, and the sides (potatoes, fries, and greens) as well. The Chateaubriand was simply perfect, the wine (Malbec from Mendoza) went perfectly with it, and the meat was cooked exactly to taste. We followed our waitress's recommendations for portions and were very satisfied (3-4 sides for 3 are a good idea).
Now a word for the service, which was attentive, kind and helpful when it came to make my friends feel happy to celebrate one of these special moments. Thank you so much to everyone, we will be back!
We visited the Hawksmoor for Lunch, the food was amazing and the staff were brilliant I had the scallops as a starter and the ribeye steak with mushrooms and chips for my main and you couldn’t fault it, the steak was perfect. The only problem was that I was so full up that I couldn’t manage a desert and they looked fantastic, maybe next time as we will definitely be visiting again.
Every time I have friends over, I bring them to Hawksmoor for steak. I believe they serve really good quality ones and the best is they can be shared amongst friends. The oysters are also really fresh and they have great sides to go with their mains. Highly recommend.
Perfect food! Attentive but not pushy/overly familiar service. Would definitely go to this Hawksmoor agsin!
Amazing - thanks for wonderful food and service! We were excellently attended and the food was great.
Love the atmosphere and very friendly staff, good food as well.
Very enjoyable meal, which was served extremely promptly - we were on a limited timescale as attending a concert at the Royal Albert Hall. Had mentioned that it was a Birthday treat and we received a lovely box of chocolates , which was a nice touch.
Amazing food... consistently amazing. So accommodating of my dietary requirements.
Had a wonderful experience at the Hawksmoor. Very attentive service from friendly, knowledgable staff. The steak was exceptional. Every mouthful was an absolute delight. Lovely art-deco surrounds with a vibrant atmosphere. Highly recommended.
My husband and I came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had visited once before and were very much looking forward to the chance to dine there again. We were not disappointed! As ever, from the moment we arrived to saying goodbye, the service was excellent. Staff were friendly and professional, attentive but not overly so. The food was delicious - no where else serves steak this good! An excellent selection on both the drinks and food menus. Of course, it’s a pricey meal but totally worth it. We will definitely be back again.
Hawksmoor are perfect in every way and I hope they never change a thing. They never are anything except perfect.
Most importantly, my steak is always cooked as requested and to perfection. Hawksmoor, you are the best.
There were six of us, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and drinks. It was a great end to the day and we can't wait to return.
Fantastic food, service and decor. A must for dinner if you're in or staying around Kensington. The staff are superb and the food excellent. Have no doubts recommending this great edtablishment.
Pleasant family evening at Hawksmoor Knightsbridge. Excellent Oysters to start and very good service throughout. But not full marks because, whilst the side dishes were superb, the main event-the steaks-were a little dry and disappointing.
I came here last Sunday with a friend, quite hungover from a party the night before and in need of a good roast dinner and that's exactly what we got. I couldn't fault it. All fresh and home made. 2 large slices of perfectly pink roast beef, a HUGE yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, parsnips, greens, carrots and we ordered a portion of cauliflower cheese as well. It was all fantastic including the staff and actually considering we were in Knightsbridge it was also very good value for money. Go there - you won't be disappointed!
Food and service was fantastic. Restaurant was hot and stuffy and we were sat at back of room so was particularly warm
I've visited Hawksmoor Knightsbridge on number of occasions. The food as always was excellent. The service was a little disappointing & not up to usual standards. It was early in the dinner service & our server seemed distracted. I am happy to recommend Hawksmoor Knightsbridge & will return soon as it one of the best steaks in London.
The food was cold when it arrived. The table was wet and I sat on a wet chair. The service was slow and somewhat prosaic and definitely not what I expected for the price I paid.
Great food and great service from our waitress Laura. Highlight was the variety of irresistible desserts.
Over priced terrible service and awful surroundings Dodd just ok nothing special not even close to GAUCHO STEAKHOUSE
Fab food & service as always, and the set lunch menu is good value for money.
The starters, crab toast and mussels were very delicious. Our meet was also very good. We had a nice server who was happy and professional.
I went on 20th June for the wife's birthday. Truly excellent service. The waiter even put a candle on my wife's pudding as he asked why we were there. Everything was perfect apart from the steaks. I had a big porterhouse and the wife had chateaubriand. Mine was meant to be rare and the wife's medium rare but I think mine was medium rare and the wife's was medium. Mine was also very tough to cut. The knife just couldn't get through despite much sawing and effort. I asked for a sharper knife, but even that was not much of a match for the formidable beast laid before me. It tasted ok, if a little too salty. I am usually the one to put far to much salt on myself so that is saying something. The starters and pudding were very nice though and overall it was a good experience and definitely different from the run of the mill restaurant. If I was truly honest though I would say that if I was just judging based on food alone, I would prefer a harvester meal all things considered, and thats a couple of hundred cheaper.
