Excellent food and service. Good atmosphere and not at all noisy. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and would definitely return.
Our waitress was very helpful in explaining the menu and making suggestions. A friend told us to order the bone in rib eye and we did. The presentation was only surpassed by the taste! We also ordered the pork rib appetizer, which was the best pork we’ve ever had. They even gave me the recipe card. Wine was perfectly matched to our food. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.
Very attentive staff, we were served by Frantisek who was friendly, helpful with any questions and gave so much care and attention to looking after us.
We had an excellent meal on Sunday evening, our waieter was so attentive and we had such a good time with him, turning our days aroun
Food not great, very very expensive and all I took from it was a night and next day on the toilet and a big dent in my wallet, Gouchos is much better
Outstanding once again.
Only order the beef options. All others are equivalent to a medicore restaurant. It's in a motel, enough said.
The food is very average and zero atmosphere. Booked under the £30 offer, not even mentioned when ordering. Lost it’s way. Service was attentive.
We booked lunch for a joint birthday and chose from the set lunch menu which was great value. Caesar salad starter was memorably delicious and the steak main a treat. Staff were really lovely. I’d recommend.
Made the booking (team work dinner) easily and then called to amend the reservation. It was a busy night and so I did expect to wait a bit longer for my food. But it took almost 45 min for the food to come out. However it was amazing. Meat cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious! The waiter did forget our cheese board so we had to wait a bit longer for that. But overall he great experience
Excellent beef of very high quality. Good service and the corkage charge on a Monday night is a winner. Does what it says on the tin.
I ordered the Roast beef. The meat was good, unfortunately the trimmings, particularly the potato’s were lukewarm and a bit dry. For the price of the meal, I expected much more and would choose somewhere else in future.
Great steaks, amongst the best I’ve had. Lovely side dishes and superb puddings. Extensive wine list. Nice ambience to the restaurant and really great relaxed yet professional service
Absolutely amazing food and service. This place is an absolute gem and I will definitely return. The Sunday lunch was out of this world so I am looking forward to returning to try a steak.
As good as the other Hawksmoor restaurants in other areas of London. We were lucky as the place was almost empty and we were able to enjoy a quiet lunch.
Wonderful place - great meats and superb sides. They know their wines too
Excellent quality, very good service. Venue is quite noisy, but due to acoustics structure of the place.
From arriving and getting a handcrafted drink at the bar to the very attentive and helpful waiting staff it was a fantastic experience. The decision on food and the accommodating responses made for a great evening. A casual approach to quality dining, superb steak and delicious wine made for a memorable anniversary. We were not rushed and the service was excellent in every way.
Always a fabulous dining experience. Best old fashioneds and steaks in London. Hands down.
Thanks for the birthday cake surprise it was lovely
Overall fab experience lovely food. But please take into account there is no lift due to the age of the building just very steep steps & stairs so anyone with some kinds of disability will struggle. Restaurant staff are amazing.
Unfortunately our evening was cut short due to a fire alarm and the restaurant filling with cooking smoke. They handled the situation very well, but it spoiled our evening (a rare evening away from our 1yr daughter). Not the date night we had planned. Disappointed that although we were asked for our email address upon leaving, we have heard nothing from Hawksmoor.
This is the third Hawksmoor we have visited. Perhaps we were spoilt having been to Air Street and Covent Garden first, as overall this isn't the best Hawksmoor. The service and food are second to none as usual with Hawksmoor, but the cocktails beforehand were poor, and a simple gin & tonic sent back.
The restaurant itself does not have the ambience of the others, although it has the look of an up-market, quality room.
If we had not visited Hawksmoor before we would probably have enjoyed it more, but as Knightsbridge is not on our usual itinerary we will probably not return. We will definitely return elsewhere.
Having visited previous Hawksmoor restaurants in London, I thought I would check out the Knightsbridge location. What can I say? Is this even part of the same chain? Awful, noisy venue. Staff were ok but so rushed off their feet it was horrible. The steak.... are they using the same suppliers? It didn't taste like it - bland meat, flavourless sauces. The absolute worst cauliflower cheese I have ever had (was it made off site and then warmed up? I suspect so). If it hadn't been 2130 by the time the food arrived I honestly would have left and gone elsewhere... however I wouldn't have been able to find a table anywhere decent at that time. The wine however was excellent, but then they weren't cooking that so I can hardly give the team there credit for this. Overall, just don't go to this branch, ever. Go to City or Covent Garden instead. This place gives the whole group a bad name. Avoid.
Great service, great food as always, great atmosphere and a great pre concert dinner. Thank you
The food is super excellent and our server was really lovely.
The Knightsbridge location is not very charming - and the bill is very expensive
The food here was incredible. I went for a bone in sirlion. One of the best cooked steaks I've had in the UK. The only disappointing aspect was the service. It took a long time for us to order our drinks upon being seated - we had to stop our waiter walking by and ask to order. Same for the food and for asking for the bill
Best steak in London! Delicious sides, very friendly staff and deserts to die for! Try the “Ambassadors reception”!
Never disappoints. Amazing restaurant and amazing menu.
Not particularly inspiring food or decor...
We went for the London Sunday Roast. There’s a reason Hawksmoor is mentioned in just about every recommendation for the Sunday Roast. It’s Outstanding. Also our service was second to no one.
Maybe just bad luck on the night, but I was expecting a lot more. From what I had read and expected the food was 'OK', but no more. The T Bone and Tomahawk were only available in gigantic cuts (which didn't suit 2 of us eating) and the Chateaubriand we settled on was perfectly OK, but I've definitely had better. Portion size was also debatable. We were recommended 3 sides for 2 people, but honestly, 3 each would have been nearer (if you're actually hungry and expecting a decent meal) The Ambassadors desert though was great!
We have been seated well. The steaks were cooked exactly on what we ordered for. The dessert was delicious too.
Most importantly, the food was incredible. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the location is great. I couldn't recommend Hawksmoor Knightsbridge highly enough.
Really lovely relaxed evening. Great food and ambience. Would definitely return
ON our way tot he Royal Albert Hall we had timely service and the food was exceptional. A lovely start to our evening.
Food was absolutely delicious. Managed to wreck a 1.2kg porterhouse alone - would definitely do it again
We really enjoyed our experience at Hawksmoor after many people recommending the restaurant to us. The Rib Eye is outstanding, as well as the seafood too.
Serving the wrong orders and waiting the new plates for more 15-20mins
