About Hawksmoor Manchester
Hawksmoor Manchester, the first outside London, is a 130-cover restaurant and 44-cover bar with an Edwardian interior and a menu revolving around only the best British steaks, simply cooked over a real charcoal grill along with sustainable seafood from around the British coast. The menu features a number of new dishes created especially for the Manchester restaurant including Shortrib Macaroni. Joining old favourites on the bar menu, like the Kimchi Burger, Shortrib French Dip and Lobster Roll, is a Poutine Barm, a Montreal-meets-Manchester sandwich with triple cooked chips, chicken gravy and cheddar cheese curds stuffed in a traditional barm, with extra gravy for dipping.

Hawksmoor Manchester Ratings and Reviews
Even on a busy evening like Valentines Day , The Hawksmoor maintained its usual high quality in both service and quality of food. My filet steak , ordered ‘Black and Blue ‘ was perfect , my partners sirloin equally superb. We are always spoilt for choice with so many delicious sides , spring greens , fan chunky chips, mushrooms, authentic mac and cheese or even fried eggs. Simple but perfect .
Fantastic food, great service and a relaxed atmosphere that means this is everything you could want in a great night out. £35 set menu option is exceptional value for money, beautiful food. We have been to a Hawksmoor in London which was amazing and Hawksmore Manchester is as good if not better!
We had 2 amazing steaks here. A Porterhouse and a Fillet. Perfectly cooked with amazing flavours. Great sides and sauces to accompany them finished off with a couple of sumptuous desserts. The servers were extremely friendly and helpful. I couldn't fault the place
There simply are not enough words to express how amazing Hawksmoor is but I’ll try...
Every member of the team we encountered was lovely and genuinely welcoming. The waitress who looked after us (Bambi) was superb, she had great knowledge of the wine and food menu and was confident in helping us and had a great chat with us.
We had the 3 course for £35 option and we’re completely shocked at the value for money. The steaks were cooked and seasoned to perfection, the sides were great and the desserts were divine. The wine choices were vast and all the staff knew their way round the wine list which is another plus.
The ambiance was great, we loved the decor and the playlist was also great. Loved the mix of classic rock and the odd modern tune for good measure.
We are truly excited for our next visit to Hawksmoor can’t believe it’s taken us this long to try out this gem!
The food itself was excellent. I am gluten intolerant which the restaurant knew ahead of time. They prepared a Sunday roast but was told the roast potatoes and Yorkshire Puddings we not! Plus little option for desert. If you’re gluten intolerant all restaurants offer you ice cream or sundae as your only options. It’s Winter! They did have 1 week advanced notice so could have done better.
It was the first time my husband and I have been to the Hawksmoor, Manchester. We went after we had been to The Bridgewater Hall. We were very impressed with the service from the moment you walk in the door you were being attended to. The coats were hung up and we were shown to our table. The service during the meal was very attentive and not intrusive.
We also enjoyed the look of the Hawksmoor and the wooden panelling and flooring made the rooms look impressive.
We would certainly recommend a visit to the Hawksmoor.
From the moment we arrived at Hawksmoor, wet and cold, the warmth of our welcome made us feel instantly at ease. The staff were authentically friendly (as opposed to feeling like they were reacting by rote) and seemed dedicated to ensuring that we had a good time. The ambience of the bar, redolent of somewhere you might expect to find Ernest Hemingway or Dorothy Parker, and the creative cocktail list got us off to a great start. The waiter in the restaurant knew the menu upside down and inside out and was supportive but not pushy in terms of helping us to make food and wine choices. He was attentive but not overbearing and seemed adept at juggling lots of tables at once. Once again Hawksmoor delivered fantastic food, terrific service at good value.
First class service, staff were attentive, informative and really helpful. Didn't feel rushed and food was delicious. Some really interesting and varied starters and one of the best steaks I have eaten in a long time. The recommendation to try the Peanut Butter Shortbread dessert was much appreciated as it was fabulous. The Three courses for £35 with a glass of champagne offer via Open Table was excellent value for money and will definitely be returning to the Hawksmoor again in the future
Visited hawksmoor for a special occasion taking advantage of the 3 courses and a drink for £35. The menu had lots of choice and we were impressed with the ample size of each course. The waiting staff could not do enough for us and replaced a cracked glass with no fuss made.
I wanted a cocktail but the menu didn’t give me enough choice. The waitress asked what I like and offered to make me something from this. I received a beautiful cocktail and was given the recipe for future.
Would definitely recommend and will be back again.
