About Hawksmoor Manchester
Hawksmoor Manchester, the first outside London, is a 130-cover restaurant and 44-cover bar with an Edwardian interior and a menu revolving around only the best British steaks, simply cooked over a real charcoal grill along with sustainable seafood from around the British coast. The menu features a number of new dishes created especially for the Manchester restaurant including Shortrib Macaroni. Joining old favourites on the bar menu, like the Kimchi Burger, Shortrib French Dip and Lobster Roll, is a Poutine Barm, a Montreal-meets-Manchester sandwich with triple cooked chips, chicken gravy and cheddar cheese curds stuffed in a traditional barm, with extra gravy for dipping.

Hawksmoor Manchester Ratings and Reviews
Very friendly the bar is great with a good and unusual cocktail list. The main restaurant is friendly and relaxed fantastic steaks and a good and reasonably priced wine list. The staff were knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The only downside is it’s very noisy when full.
Delicious food and the rump&chips lunchtime deal is excellent value. Very noisy as it was christmas party season. Would highly recommend. We had a slight problem with one waitress right before we left however we shouldn’t blame Hawksmoor for this issue and because the food was so great we would definitely call again. Even my mother, who’s vegetarian, loved the meat free sides !
I visited with my wife recently at lunchtime. The service was very friendly and the food excellent. The rib and the potted beef starters were very tasty and the steak main course extremely well cooked .
Would recommend you give this place a try when in Manchester.
So, i moved to Manchester the weekend of my booking, and I was blown away by the number of friendly faces and the overall service given.
The staff at The Hawksmoor really are a credit to the restaurant, and the owner or manager should really take note! Attentive, friendly, on hand to help and recommend things - all delivered in a way that is far from being bullish or overbearing.
Being our first weekend in Manchester, and on asking for the bill, they proceeded to bring out a wooden chopping board with 'Welcome to Manchester' written in Chocolate. I mean, they didn't have to do that but it immediately brought smiles to our faces!
Thanks once again Hawksmoor, simply the best restaurant for service and meat around!
ps - that short rib mac&cheese - come on!
We had a fantastic meal for our 40th anniversary. Everything was delicious, but the steak was truly exceptional. And the chefs understand rare, blue, 'between rare and blue'. Unusual. You may think 5 stars for value is weird at an expensive restaurant, but, really, it was that good. I nearly forgot - the best mince pies ever - maybe even better than homemade
This was the second time I have eaten at the Hawksmoor. This time we ate early before going round the corner to the Opera House for a show. We all agreed the 300g fillet steaks were fantastic. Cooked as ordered (medium) and well rested. The service was great and we had a bottle of Rioja with the meal, which went very well. I will be back...
I came to Hawksmoor for the first time after hearing great things the restaurant was amazing the staff were really attentive, friendly and helpful. The steak and lobster was sensational! I would recommend the anchovy hollandaise sauce which was out of this world.
Ive been to Hawksmoor 3 times and it never fails!
It was like a christmas dinner with steak! tripple cooked chips, roast parsnips and sprouts.
Ive been 3 times since it opened so not as often as i would like but the quality, food, service and drinks is as good today as when it opened.
John the server was very knowledgeable and great.
I've been to a few Hawksmoore's in London, but this one in Manchester was fantastic. We sat in the main space - but it doesn't matter where you sit as the whole building is very grand with a beautiful view from probably every table.
The service was 100% brilliant. Our server Jerome was an absolute delight, very smiley and polite. I was hungover at the time and he went out of his way to bring me a drink that wasn't on the menu which he thought would sort out my hangover - what a darling!
Would highly recommend if you're looking for somewhere with great food, good vibes and excellent service.
All staff were very friendly. Plenty of check backs to see if you need anything, but not intrusive either. Great service overall.
All the food was great and the bill was a little lower than I had anticipated, so that was a nice surprise.
Would recommend to anyone.
Great food and service, very nice atmosphere and the menu is lovely. I’ve eaten in the London Hawksmoor many times and the Manchester venue is equally as nice though more relaxed. The g&t’s are to die for the steak choices are fabulous. Highly recommend you try Hawksmoor
Fantastic place, has just become my favourite restaurant. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the food out of this world. The starter of potted beef and bacon with onion gravy and Yorkshire pudding was a taste sensation, the fillet steak for main was perfectly cooked.
We weren't sure what to go for on the extensive wine list so was given a few samples to help decide, the staff really couldn't do enough for us.
Will definitely go again.....
