Buzzing atmosphere for a Tuesday night! Friendly knowledgeable staff, willing to make suggestions. Excellent value, tasty food. The potted beef with Yorkshire puddings and gravy starter was beautiful!
All the marketing a gift card and associated brochure looked excellent and 5star. The venue and ambience was very nice classy looking establishment. We had the chateaubriand but it was not very tender and all the food went cold very quickly. Service and staff attention was very good. But the quality of the food was lower than many small brands but much more expensive. So disappointed and will not return.
Absolutely brilliant. The food is just beautiful (a little pricey but you get what you pay for). We had Vietnamese Oysters and beef capaccio for starters and these were gorgeous but even these were out shone by the chateaubriand. Unbelievably good.
The service was excellent with everybody very helpful and friendly- a special mention for Amy who looked after and advised us perfectly.
Can't wait for our next visit
Excellent 'go to' restaurant for consistently the best food, cocktails and wine, and great, knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive staff.
Excellent Sunday roast and friendly welcoming staff
It's what you pay for: superb steaks, cheerful and friendly staff. You really do have to spend all the money if you want a good lunch, the peripherals really mount up, but let's face it, what do you come here for? Nice place, but not too difficult to notch up the best part of £100 per head if you want cocktails, decent wine, 3 courses with a really proper steak and to leave a decent tip. Luckily my daughter's appetite wasn't on form this time around. Worth saving up for.
Great food, great atmosphere, great restaurant. Will definitely be going back.
Really nice dinner. I think £20 is a little expensive for what you get but really nice staff and enjoyable.
Best steak I've ever had. Try the T-bone it was thicker than a book and as tender as you'd like.
Dinner to celebrate our twins 21st birthdays. We were very well looked after with attentive but not intrusive service. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived but we were seated promptly and given menus. An early plus point was the offer of tap water. Starters were very good and mains excellent. A side dish of mushrooms was wonderful. The steaks were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Desserts with little candles at the end a nice touch. Not cheap by any means but the excellence of the food and service made it very good value.
Lovely place for a special meal. Excellent meat quality and good ambience. Very nice cocktails
Superb meal out with friends at Hawksmoor Manchester. The award winning front of house team excelled once more. They really are extremely good. Food wonderful too.
From start to finish, fantastic service - everyone was so friendly and unusually these days, appeared to be enjoying their work. Great steak as always and the best Monkfish I’ve ever had.
Great staff and atmosphere. Food was amazing and I could not fault. Would recommend this to anyone!!!
Hawksmoor is always a lovely place to go. Sadly we were seated next to a party of 8 who were drunk and loud and that spoilt the afternoon. But, staff are attentive, food is amazing and I’ll be back!!
I would definitely recommend Hawksmoor again - it was recommended to us and I can happily say we would come back. We are from out of the city and were very accommodating when traffic delayed us. Our waitress was lovely and the food delicious! We will be back
Fabulous food, a little expensive but worth it. Love going when we get chance for a night off without the children.
Great service, amazing food. This is our second time here & it did not disappoint.
Great experience from start to finish.
Really friendly welcome to Hawksmoor from reception and the bar staff. Had a chance to have a drink in the bar first before heading over to our table for dinner.
Any queries that we had our dinner options were well explained and recommendations given without any pressure.
All in all, it was a great experience and will definitely will going back for a visit.
Great food, great service and ambience. Cocktails and wine were excellent. Great experience.
Fantastic food and ambiance. Steaks were excellent as was the vegetarian option. Servers were very knowledgeable.
Great venue for a special occasion in our case a 30th birthday celebration.
Food was excellent especially the chateaubriand .. it was done to perfection with a selection of fresh vegetables
Service was great too, relaxed & enough time between courses to enjoy the different courses
Our only quibble was despite highlighting it was our son’s birthday on the online booking & when we confirmed the booking by phone ( we were told something would be done & the server to our table would be informed) absolutely nothing was done to make it a special occasion.
The food was great, the service was efficient, our waitress was fantastic, very friendly and knowledgeable.
As usual the food and service was of the highest quality. Not sure about the special Sloe Gin Fizz, but I think that was personal taste. The thing I like about Hawksmoor is that they treat you special every time. Unlike a restaurant just along the road with a pyramid entrance, the staff on reception are not permanently on the lookout for famous (ie rich) customers, even looking over you to see who is coming in next. The restaurant staff are very enthusiastic about their menu and as usual made excellent recommendation for the accompanying wine.
We’ll definitely be going back.
I have had the pleasure of dining here on two occasions in the space of a couple of weeks. Once on my birthday, with my son and then on our 30th wedding anniversary with my husband. On both occasions we were made to feel special and on my birthday I was very happy to receive a surprise treat, what a nice touch. Oh, and it goes without saying really, the food was excellent. Thanks Hawksmoor Manchester.
We were left sitting at our table for 30 minutes before our waitress came to take our order. We all wanted to order a roast dinner. We ordered, then she came back to say all the roasts sold out 10 minutes ago. Won’t be back terrible service if we had our order taken we would have been able to order what we all wanted.
Incredible food accompanied by incredible service. Loved it!
I would recommend if you want a fancy meal. It is a little expensive for what you get.
The service and food were fantastic, we are looking forward to returning
Nice Sunday lunch, with the scallops starters, Yummy! Was very busy butwaitress attentive and helpful, put on an extra scallop as we shared the starter, nice touch I thought,
The lunch was lovely beef with all the trimmings £20, drinks are a bit expensivebut it keeps the rig raff out.
The seats are quite close together and small, can be noisy as the dining room is lofty, would have liked more space to eat
Will be returning soon, would recommend
Having previously eaten in the Air Street Hawksmoor, we maybe made unfair comparisons. Your staff were brilliant and could not have done enough for us. But we felt the building didn't quite have the same feel.
Absolutely spot on!
From receiving your reservation telephone confirmation to receiving your bill I can honestly say service from all staff members was superb.
Cocktails & food are delicious.
We had 2 Sunday roast dinners.
Meat cooked to perfection 1 was medium to well & mine was medium to rare, yummy gravy & the Yorkshire puddings were great too.
We had a great view of the restaurant from where we was sat, great for ‘People watching’ the only thing I personally didn’t like (due to me being a cold person in general) I was sat under a vent or something. Apart from that we had a great experience and that’s most definitely a restaurant we will visit again......... considering we live close by😊
Fabulous food, best roast beef I’ve had in a long time. Attentive but not intrusive friendly staff. Nice wine and lovely cocktails
What a fantastic Sunday lunch! Highly recommended. Our waitress Martha was superb.
Absolutely brilliant always topping me up with water and always on top of things
Amazing meal and the staff were very welcoming. Couldn’t fault anything about our evening
Fantastic service, waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. The food food was amazing . Highly recommend.
To start with everything was superb, until we were asked to leave our table once we had finished our meal, we were never informed of a time stipulation on the table, of what started off as very relaxed evening was spoilt at the end by being pushed out of the door, we were asked to leave, I said to the waiter who was fabulous all through the evening, please could we have a table in the bar of which we were told no, therefore I asked for the bill and to speak to the manager. The Manager apologised and got a seat at the bar, and we were given a complimentary drink. After spending £370 for a table of four, and it did take over an hour before the waiter took our order. I feel we could have been better dealt with than the way we were. This has been disappointing as we did like visiting the Hawksmoor but I may have to think again before booking here
Second time here. Food and cocktails fantastic. Service at bar to table great. Service at table not as good as previous visit but still above average. Love the ambience and decor. Love the Hawksmoor!
Fantastic food with impeccable service. Would highly recommend.
