Everything about our experience was exceptional. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and were shown directly to our table by the very friendly hosts. We decided to go with the Summer Set Menu. The portions were generous and the food was absolutely delicious! Our waiter was attentive, friendly and informative but not at all intrusive. We had a great time and highly recommend dining here.

This was our splurge for our last night in London. Love the space, food was outstanding, and the service was absolutely wonderful. We couldn't have been happier.

Initial impression was ok but not as good as I was expecting. It looks better in the photos than in real life and has a slightly ‘grungey’ tired feel about it.
However I couldn’t fault the food or the service. I eat out regularly at quality restaurants so am used to a high standard. The food was simple but superbly cooked and the service was excellent. We went for a pre-theatre dinner and when we explained we only had a short time they still organised the food to come quickly for us, even though we chose from the A la carte menu and not the express theatre menu.

Booked last minute for a friend's birthday, let the staff know and they made sure to add a candle to his dessert, and they wished him a happy birthday, which was nice.
Ordered the £30 set menu, which was great value and really filling. Only downside was that we requested the steaks rare and medium rare, but we got medium rare and medium. The high quality of the meat meant this wasn't a huge issue, but it's fair to expect perfection from the experts at Hawksmoor!
Overall, another great meal at Hawksmoor!

The fish was excellent fresh and cooked perfectly. The steak was also excellent. I found the overall decor a bit dull/uninspiring - could be smarter.

Very comfortable setting on an extremely hot day in London. Lobster, fish and steak were all good but desserts uninspired.

The food was prepared well however for the price the portions were quite small. If you are looking for a feast, prepare to empty out your wallet.
The choice of beers was fairly limited, but what they did have was good. This was a great venue for meeting up with friends etc, as its in Covent Garden and quiet enough to have a conversation without having to shout to the person opposite you, although on a busy night you may have to make yourself heard.
The only small issue I had was with our waiter who was a bit too laid back and I didnt appreciate the way he threw down the coasters and napkins on the table. But all in all a nice place.

What a great experience! Love the location (seven dials) and underground venue! We started at the bar with cocktails (one 'anti-fogmatic' and one 'bridging') and then moved into the dining room. We opened with scallops (seriously good) and toast (excellent bread) with whipped graceburn cheese (OMG) & heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil - this was outstanding. I had a fillet medium rare with bearnaise (one of the best bearnaise sauces I've ever had) and creamed spinach (more spinach than cream and again one of the best I've ever had), my husband had a rib eye medium with mashed potatoes & gravy (he made many good sounds of gustatory delight). SO GOOD. and we had a phenomenol 2005 haut medoc for around 55 gbp which was outstanding. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and service was exceptional. I wish I could've ordered a smaller cut because I couldn't finish my steak but I wouldn't change a thing otherwise!

Wonderful meal with superb service. Nothing was too much trouble and our waiter was observant at all times , never hurried us and kept our glasses topped up throughout. He was polite, courteous and friendly and guided us in our choice of foods. The meal was exquisite; flavours and textures turning the ordinary into the extraordinary. A smart atmosphere that lends itself to meals for all occasions. Thank you. We are 170 miles from London but would travel here again. It was the best meal we have had for a long time.

Pre theatre dinner at Hawksmoor from the set menu was superb. We had the rump steak, which was full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Restaurant has plenty of character, service was excellent, and although it's definitely not cheap, quality was such that we felt we got great value.

Looked after brilliantly from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Top bar service. BYO Mondays are great - I'd hate to think what the total bill would have been had we ordered wines from the list! Food was delicious, atmosphere is great - really buzzing, even on a Monday.

Meat below standard quality. Inedible for half the meat portion. When complained as did multiple other tables, did not acknowledge the amount of fat and inedible bits. Did not remove cost of meat from bill. I would say 50% of the steak was not edible

Great spot for Sunday roast. We were on vacation and had 1 night in London. Hawksmoor Seave Dials was recommended by a family we met and we were NOT disappointed! Had never had a Sunday roast before and no idea what to expect. Great comfort food and a great way to learn a bit about the Sunday tradition in England.

Good meat, too expensive, not small portions of meat even though they are priced by 100 gr.
The side dishes like mushrooms and sweet potato did not justify their price.

Love Hawksmoor! Wonderful atmosphere and top quality food. Had the porterhouse 850g between two of us. Expensive but well worth it as it was my partners 40th and it was cooked perfectly. The servers are friendly without being overbearing or intrusive

Second time here and not disappointed.....The best steak in London without a doubt.....One tiny gripe was the veg was slightly on the crunchy side for my partner but it didn't spoil her meal... The pork belly starters are divine and when choosing a steak beware of the size....400g of sirlion is a lot of steak!!!

Excellent rib eye and sirloin. Very good portion sizes and reasonable prices given the size and quality of steaks. Peppercorn sauce, beef dropping chips, and triple cooled chips all delicious. It is on the pricier side but worth it.

Started off very well, staff very friendly. However we were given a £100 voucher and ordered accordingly only to have this taken back from us an hour into the meal. By that point we had already ordered 3 courses and wine etc so was a bit annoying that we then wouldn’t get the £100 off! Unfortunately we were also brought a different wine to the one we ordered but let this go as it wasn’t a big deal.

Starters were good. Steak was great but the chips weren’t exactly hot when they arrived. Desserts were also good but the tart could’ve done with more ice cream and the ice cream didn’t taste enough like burnt butter.

Whilst usually delighted with the quality of food at Hawksmoor, the Sunday roast is quite a letdown and expensive at that. Your meat is the best quality and yet you only provide one slice as part of a roast?! For the price paid that is not at par with what I know of Hawksmoor service and food. Furthermore, the sides are bland and lacking seasoning - rosemary on the potatoes would not hurt. The dessert ( summer pudding ) was a hint too tart for me but that’s just personal taste.

Again, whilst I’m usually delighted with Hawksmoor service, on a Sunday afternoon it was subpar. We had to wait too long between courses and had to catch the waiter’s attention rather than being served.

All in all this was not a good afternoon meal, and as a Hawksmoor fan ( love your steaks!) I was quite disappointed with the Sunday roast. Recommending that friends and family skip the roast and stick to the steak.
