Great Bar area, the dining room looked fantastic. Had to prompt to get to our table, but no real issue. Starters were delicious and arrived in good time, but the rest of the experience was a little disappointing. I chose Hawksmoor after seeing the Food Busker ‘The Perfect Steak’ YouTube videos for my wife’s pre-Theatre birthday dinner. We ordered a sharing Porterhouse which got missed in the kitchen, and waited 45 minutes after the starters for it to arrive. When it did arrive, it wasn’t cooked as ordered and a little too rare for my wife. It was tasty though. Front of house were great, they were very apologetic and did come to our table before we had to complain. We received the main course for free and were offered desserts after the show but we were unable to take up the offer.
Would we go again? Yes, just to experience in the Food Busker’s words ‘one of the best steaks in London’. This time it missed the mark.

Our waitress was wonderful. She took her time to explain the different steaks and sides. My husband had steak and he said it was good but a little chewy. Overall, we enjoyed our food.

Loved this place. The steaks were incredible! However there was a delay getting our table - only 20 mins but we could have been better informed.

As always excellent food and service. Best restaurant in London for steak and an ambience that is casual and comfortable. Outstanding. Not cheap but worth the pennies.

Our waitress was very pleasant, attentive and had an excellent knowledge of the menu.
We had an hour and half to enjoy a meal as we had Theatre tickets. We all decided on the express menu and chose the two course option. Four of our group had starters and an entree whilst the fifth member decided on an entree and dessert. The wait between the starters and main course was so long that we had to rapidly eat our steaks and cancel the dessert. An hour and a half should have been more than enough time alas kitchen weren’t in time with the service. Our waitress kept us informed throughout where we were in the queue however it did spoil the experience a little. We got the impression other diners were having the same experience. We have been before and will return again.

Warm welcome at the door ...offer to help with coats etc .
Restaurant and bar super busy but staff still attentive . Went straight to table as we were running 10 mins late .

Great waiter ....food arrived exactly as ordered . Steaks perfectly cooked , the scallops luscious as always , sides of spinach , mash, fries and mushrooms all well cooked and presented . Waiter offered good wine knowledge .

2 desserts ordered : sticky toffee pudding and rhubarb tart which we all shared . Lovely portion size and very delicious .
Overall an excellent experience

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. George was our waiter and we had the rib nuggets, mackerel, and wings for starters, and the steak and onions, porterhouse, and a burger for dinner. We had cheese plate and apple pie for dessert. Everything was absolutely incredible!

The Sunday roast is amazing. The portions are generous and everything is delicious. Staff are friendly but busy, though they did their best to come back to you as soon as possible. It took quite a long time between ordering and receiving our meal, but it was packed in the restaurant, and the food was well worth the wait. It’s a noisy and loud environment, so if your sound sensitive might not be the best place for you.

Great food, pricey but to be expected. Lovely staff, only issue was they said the starters we ordered weren’t prepared so would take an hour (so we chose something else). Out of the wine we ordered too, but found another one which was great. Great pre theatre meal

We had a lovely meal here there was just two of us and we went for the pre theatre express menu! We both went for the steak followed by the steamy toffee pudding and it was deliousios! Our waitress was lovely and the wines were very well priced. We were in and out quickly which is what we had asked as we had to see a friend before attending the theatre! I will deffiently be recommending it to all my friends and already look forward to our next visit!

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely date night in this restaurant. The cooking of the food was on point, the timings between starters and mains were very good and the service was very attentive and amiable.
Highly recommend the Scallops and Ribs for starters (two separate dishes we shared) and the Chocolate tart for dessert. Coffee was also very good.

Overpriced. Unfortunately 9our beloved Hawksmoor has gone the way of chains and gone for growth over quality. Over salted steak, poor cut, mediocre sides and service that knew as much about steak as a McDonald’s attendant. I will not be returning.

You can always count on good service at Hawksmoor. On this particular occasion my fillet steak wasn't the best - however my co-diner seem to get a very good one.

Hawksmoor was surprisingly relaxed, the staff were casually dressed and there were no airs or graces. I like that. The menu is extensive for a carnivore! We arrived at 5.30pm so took up the three course set meal offer (available before 6.30pm). The food was lovely and the service very good. The set meal at £29.95 (plus an extra £6 for tail fillet) was good value. My only concern is that if ordering from the main menu the steaks are overpriced and the selected cuts of meat very expensive. The drinks are a little pricey too, with £5 for half of pale ale and the cheapest house wine £8 a glass. I would definitely go back, but only to have the set menu again.

Always delicious - from the cocktails to the steaks and sides to the sticky toffee pudding. Had family from Texas visiting and they claimed it was the best meal they'd had in London and a top steak in their books. Pleased I could bring them somewhere I love so much and know it would meet (or exceed) expectations.
