Fantastic food and setting for a business dinner. Would highly recommend this Hawksmoor, it’s the best one in London.

Coming from the U.S., I have expectations on great steaks; while the ribeye I had was tasty, it wasn't a whole lot different than a Texas Roadhouse ribeye. Sides were good, drinks were inventive and excellent - I highly recommend a dosage of the Shaky Pete Ginger Beer.

This was indlcredible! Absolutely everything was fantastic with the exception of the creamed spinach which had cayenne (not what we were expecting). The sticky toffee pudding was so amazing we were scraping the plates clean. The wait staff was incredibly friendly, and went out of their way to be helpful. My daughter had left her lactaid pill on the table (she is lactose intolerant) next to her napkin and it was accidentally cleared with the napkin before desert and they were able to track it down for us averting the disaster of not getting to eat dessert.

Excellent all round. 2 (VERY) Minor complaints:
1.Waitresses face when I said we wanted to split the bill
2.Place was near empty, and another (solitary) diner was placed on the table next to ours. When its that quiet that sort of makes private conversation impossible.

This is our 3rd visit to this restaurant. Very good restaurant and food. Only negative was that we waited a hour from ordering to been served. Nice touch that a chocolate desert and candle was presented to my husband for his birthday.

I was excited to visit this top rated restuarant with my husband when I visited London. Friendly staff greeted us and he led us to far back table(wall side) even though there were plenty empty tables available at the middle of restaurant. Group of asians were sitting next to our table.(We are also asians) While we were eating, the other asian couple were guided to seat at the corner of same row. When people from our next table left, another group of asian girls set next to us. So, basically whole edge of the row were just asians. We definitely didn’t think that it was coincidence. They seemed like they tacitly have designated seats for Asians. Their food was fine but pricy. (Not too special since we are asian-american. We can have these everyday!) I feel pitiful regarding their fake attitude, and disappointed that there are still a race discrimination out there.

Dined for Sunday roast, both plates took a while to arrive after ordering and were stone cold when they did. Waiter did replace as soon as he could without quibble but a very disappointing experience nonetheless. Will stick with Spitalfields restaurant in future, better service, experience and ambience.

What can I say? Hard to pick a fault with the entire experience apart from to say it might be a bit too noisy for some.

As usual the acid test is whether I would go back. Yes

Dinner for our 15th wedding anniversary. Lovely restaurant with a very nice atmosphere (think bubbly rather than peaceful) and brilliant waiting staff. Starters: scallops and a Caesar salad were both brilliant. Main course 700g prime rib, with buttered cabbage, spinach and beef dripping fries. Steak medium rare. Very well cooked. Great desserts. With wine, bill came to £180. Reasonable if not stunning value. We had a great time.

I didn’t answer the recommend question because it would depend. The noise level was pretty intensive our 73-year old ears had trouble hearing our own conversation. If we were there for a party, it would be fine, but I would not recommend it for a quiet, romantic evening. One of the servers was helpful when we asked her about where we could a quieter place in the Hawksmoor world. We did enjoy the food.

Everything was pretty much okay until it came time to leave and our waiter began to studiously ignore us though he managed to attend to several tables near us. We would have ordered dessert. As it was, just getting the check was an ordeal.

Another amazing visit to the Hawks! My partner and I shared the porterhouse steak with beef dripping fries, creamed spinach and cauliflower cheese! It was delicious and the service is second to none! We followed it up with a couple of cocktails at the bar! By far our favourite restaurant!

The food was good, average for the price. The 4 of us went on a Monday at 7 and the place was packed, made it a little hard to have a 4-way convo. Service was average for the price as well. You will enjoy your meal. We just didn't find anything special about it.

We went for my wife's birthday , I had booked a table for 5.30 but got my times mixed up so the staff said that we were welcome to sit at the bar and have a drink .
The staff were very friendly and helpful in telling you all about the different cuts of meat they had and recommended which to have.
It can be a bit pricey but worth the experience, would certainly go again.

However, abit too much seasoning on the salt especially on potatoes which is naturally sweet. The salt spoils the flavor.

Service was decent. Overall average dining.

We went for their Sunday roast, something we had heard a lot about. As ever starters and wine were excellent and of course the roast beef was superb. The Yorkshire pudding and roast dinner trimmings were fine but we felt that there were better out there. A whole cooked garlic as an accompaniment looks great but does anyone really eat it? The yorkie pudding only got a 5/10 on my scale. Great service and a fun time.

We went for the Sunday dinner and it definitely looked the part but sadly everything was cold. There was also a varying range of "pink" meat around the table, with some more pink than others. I do not mind the inconsistency too much but would have just much preferred my dinner to be hot especially for a restaurant like Seven Dials. Nonetheless it was still an enjoyable meal and time with friends

I am a massive fan of Hawksmoor and my previous visit was perfect. This time however is the first time Ive ever felt underwhelmed. The service is always amazing but because the waiting staff are so incredibly friendly it meant that after sending back our macaroni cheese because it was very dry, we couldnt bring ourselves to send back medium cooked meat when we asked for medium rare - all steak lovers will know that it just isnt the same booked medium - so meat was really disappointing and thats the first time ive ever said that about a meal at Hawksmoor.

We added 2 more to our booking and you managed to fit us in in the bar area, which was fine.
We have eaten at your Seven Dials restaurant quite a few times over the years and knew the set up but this was the first time we had sat there.
The service was not as flowing and competent as we normally experience.

As some of the food order was late coming to the table, also the wine sommelier / waiter
poured the last of the wine, then we had to spend several minutes trying to 'catch his eye' to order another bottle, we were drinking the Rutherford Hill Merlot which I know isn't the most expensive wine but it isn't the cheapest either.
Overall maybe we should have told our son that we were unable to add another 2 to the booking !!
No, I don't think so really.
The food was great as usually and that's what we come for, oh, and the cocktails

We had a fantastic 18th birthday celebration of my niece, on Saturday afternoon. The friendly staff made every moment special, with a perfect service, great food and drink suggestions, and lovely surprises to the b-day girl. The dishes are testy, and original. The menu offers the best of local fish and meat. The mains are impeccable. The sides could be a bit larger, but that gives an opportunity to order a larger variety to choose from. As an appetizer, the Dover Crab Toast has been an incredible new experience for my family from Italy. Personally, I loved the Mascarpone and Chocolate Dessert: OMG, it was amazing!!! I will certainly go again, and will definitely recommend it as one of the best restaurants to go in Covent Garden.

We had a lovely pre-theatre dinner at Hawksmoor. Food was perfect, good gluten free options for my wife ( but maybe attention needs to be given to dessert .... we always find this a challenge in restaurants and always end up with sorbet / ice-cream). Lovely cocktails and we were served by Boris who was a delight, his service was perfect.
