Birthday meal for my husband. Booked as a surprise as he has wanted to go for a couple of years. He loved. Food was excellent, service top notch and lovely happy birthday rolos served at the end. No rushing so we had a lovely, relaxed meal after a full day out. Highly recommend.
Loved every minute of it. First time @HM
As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a super nice host/receptionist then taken to our table straight away. We had a multiple number of servers - but they all knew who was having what and got our orders spot on. The wine was perfectly chilled and food was delicious. Honestly, I haven’t had a meal that good in London in a very long time. Thanks guys and see you again soon. Mag
I brought my husband for his birthday as this used to be one of our favourite places to eat. As our first night away in 5 years due to having children, We were very much looking forward to having dinner at Hawksmoor. The waitress for our table never brought our drinks, we had to ask repeatedly. She didn’t offer any help with the wine list and gave us the feeling like she didn’t care. Was very disappointed that we had to pay £51 (12.5%) tip due to our bill being approx £500. Definitely not worth it.
Lovely evening at Hawksmore. Food and wine were both lovely. Only gripe I had was the chairs they had. They are very beautiful but the edge on the ones facing the booths are dangerous. I have a massive bruise on my leg from sitting on the sharp edge that points upwards. Surely I’m not the only one with this problem
Food was very good, second waiter gave us the wrong steaks, but the fault was rectified and starters removed from bill without asking. Overall a very pleasant lucnh
Really disappointing experience. Was looking forward to try Hawksmoor for a while being a meat lover and a foodie. Don't mind paying top price if it is worth it. Really disappointing 1kg prime rib. Not tender at all ( not resting enough?? 30 minutes on the table for a 1kg seems very short) plus the flavour of the meat was rather bland. (not mature I recon). My girlfriend and myself used to try different places being both foodie and I never complain but in this occasion paying 160 for 1 main sides and 1 bottle of wine is rather rich. The manager told us he will sent us a voucher to come back to try again 2 days after no news. Very unprofessional .
The roast portion is tiny considering how much it was. I would of expected a lot more veg for how much it cost.
Amazing steak and the service was excellent. Really glad we went for the steak with roast trimmings.
The food and wine were both excellent but what made the meal was our waitress. We unfortunately did not get her name but she is a South African lady working in your spitalfields branch. My sister is both celiac and pregnant which our waitress accomdated brilliantly. Hawksmoor is a little pricey but you get what you pay for - quality food
Food was good but very expensive even charge you for bread and steak sauce unlike their competitors Goodmans which is better value.
This was such an amazing place to visit. The service was amazing, the food was perfect. I took my partner here for his birthday and it was everything he wanted and more. We were made to feel so welcome and everyone was so friendly. It wasn’t too noisy, all in all, I would highly recommend.
Excellent service, Deserts were a little bit of a let down.
Sunday dinner amazing
Great food, at a price. My sirloin steak, at 300 grams was s fab cut of meat and I adore the gravy, so rich.
Service was really good. Friendly and attentive Without being intrusive. Food was great too.
Although extremely busy, waited only a short time for food to arrive. Excellent service and food was perfect.
Great food and a nice ambience. Some reduction in artistic expression for being moved to a different able about 10min after we sat down, and for both the old and the new tables being very wobbly (one of them so wobbly that the waiter had to put something underneath one leg). It was also very loud, which made conversation difficult even in our quiet corner. I know soft furnishings are unmanly and passe, but they are great for acoustics so maybe could be considered.
Visited Wednesday evening for my girlfriend's birthday and the experience was amazing. We'd been once before, but the customer experience and attention to detail for her birthday was incredible. We were given complimentary drinks on arrival, staff members wishing her a happy birthday and a birthday dessert with happy birthday written on it in chocolate. I could not recommend Hawksmoor enough. Food was delicious, and come out promptly.
Was on a business trip from San Francisco and a UK based coworker recommended this as a great place for a steak. OMG totally surpassed expectations! Will make this a part of every future work visit. Had the ribeye, chips and creamed spinach. DELICIOUS!!
Great service decent wine list decidedly average steak that could have been warmer. Starter sides very good
Great good and great service. Overseas clients loved it and they had their first ever Yorkshire Pudding
Great service great food. Corkage on Monday’s is a wonderful idea
Fir what you have to pay for the Sunday roast and what you get
I was spoiled at the Marine pub Eastbourne the week before
We visited on a trip to London following various recommendations. I personally thought that the Sunday lunch was overrated.meat was fine but lots of fat and the veg consisted of carrots which were soggy, green cabbage, half a garlic and a shallot...I wished there had been more veg. Roasties and Yorkie were nice as was the gravy. However I won’t be rushing back at almost £80 for 2 Sunday lunches and 2 glasses of wine
You will not find a better Steak experience - these guys nail it. Sublime 👍
Lovely evening, only thing to fault was the wait time for food. Other then that, a delicious meal.
Air con was on full blast. Other than that a lovely meal, with excellent service!
Great service all round, great food. So great we weren’t rushed too which is so common in London these days
1st time there. Wanted somewhere different to our normal places.
Would defo put this one on my list to go back.
The food was great, and the service was exceptional. The restaurant atmosphere is exactly as it should be. My only criticism is price, however if you're going to a steakhouse of this quality, you must expect to pay top dollar...
I’m touring London on Sundays trying out beef roast dinners.
Hawksmoor has topped the list so far.
Also the bartender was extremely welcoming and provided a delicious Bloody Mary to cure my hangover and get me ready for food
The steak was great and the lobster top notch. The waiter was excellent
Having been to other Hawksmoor's restaurants I was disappointed with what Spitalfields had to offer. The restaurant is over crowded as they have far two many tables crammed in, as such the noise levels were excessive making conversation difficult. The food quality and service were acceptable, but not to the standard you'd expect for the prices you are paying.
At £36 for a 300g fillets steak I expected something special and it just wasn’t. It was not massively tender and did not melt in the mouth nor was the flavour amazing. I can think of numerous better steaks. The sides of mushrooms, macaroni cheese and buttered English greens were also just ok.
I didn’t complain at the time as I was with my children and didn’t want my complaint to tarnish their experience of the steak they were enjoying.
Top end prices for food mediocre food. Sorry!
Excellent meal, staff were relaxed and welcoming and Pre dinner cocktails downstairs were excellent.
We went for a birthday treat, all very friendly when we came in. Our drinks we forgotten about so took ages to arrive. Food very average, steak was alright did have slightly funny taste. My vegetables we in a tray of water and looked like they hadn't been drained.
Really good actually, service was fine, food was excellent. Rump steak at £21 was excellent, cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend and will be back. Used the code app.
Service was great very quick and efficient as you would expect, the cocktails were great, we were just disappointed by quality of the steak we were served. Both our portions were dry and a little over cooked. Considering how expensive it is we were expecting better quality.
Service was incredible. Food was too albeit overpriced.
