Hawksmoor Spitalfields
Named after Nicholas Hawksmoor's Christchurch Spitalfields, just down the road, Hawksmoor Spitalfields opened in 2006 to rave reviews, reigniting London's love affair with steak. Hawksmoor Spitalfields is an unpretentious, quality-obsessed steak house, serving only the best British steaks, simply cooked over a real charcoal grill. The 115 cover restaurant also has an extensive wine list featuring favourite small producers and big vineyards alike.

Absolutely beautiful meal - the steak was incredible, probably the best I’ve ever had. Creamed spinach, fries, parsnips, everything was amazing! Wine was also delicious. Great ambience, all of the staff were incredibly friendly - especially our waitress, she was great. Can’t wait to be back
If you want great steak don't bother to look elsewhere. 10/10
Amazing food in a very safe and comfortable venue.
The staff went above and beyond to ensure the restaurant was covid safe whilst still providing a very enjoyable experience.
Great lunch fantastic happy staff left with a smile and very enjoyable lunch
Well, what can I say?
The food was amazing YET AGAIN
I’ve eaten at this restaurant on many occasions and it’s always had me coming back for more
The fillet was cooked to perfection
The starters was an amazing as always
The chicken was great
Yet again a 10/10 experience
Amazing food!! Just no scallops which was a shame! Also their Reformed Pornstar a winner for me.
Me and my girlfriend booked in advance for our anniversary dinner. Absolutely loved it! Food and service were both amazing. Would highly recommend.
Amazing as always, sincerely hope that Hawksmoor survive the COVID crisis and re-open their doors again in 2021.
I took my daughter for a meal here. It has a lovely atmosphere, which I think is the layout and good lighting.
My daughter had a steak which was amazing and though they ran out of fish options on the main (and I'm pescatarian) they did their best to find a solution, making a mackerel salad starter into a main portion size. It was delicious.
We also had a crunchie dessert which was really nice. The Waiting employees were so polite and helpful. It was a lovely experience and I shall definitely be going back!
Birthday Sunday lunch with the family.
Always a fantastic lunch with great service.
Nice Sunday lunch with the family. Thoroughly enjoyed
My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and the service was fantastic. We were welcomed with a smile and our waiter went above and beyond. The food was great and we were brought complimentary drinks for our anniversary. It was a lovely experience and will definitely be going again. Thank you 😊
Awesome 😁!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The steak 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Staff v. attentive & great service, all wore masks we was 20 mins early and we got seated straight away
The rib eye was a bit chewy/ fatty than normal.
Sticky toffee pudding was Devine and such a lovely and thoughtful touch to bring out a glass of Sherry each for our anniversary, lovely meal all in all - thank you!
Steak was amazing, would recommend you go for a great meal!
Everything about the meal and the restaurant was great and would be very happy to eat at hawksmoor again.
Our waiter was very polite, however after serving us water, it took a further 20 mins for him to come and take our order for food. We ordered our fillet and sirloin steaks medium-rare but they both came medium-well. Half the sirloin steak was pretty rubbery due to this. Not the quality expected for the price paid. The ribs and maple glazed parsnips were lovely.
Great meal. Each course was spot on. Friendly and attentive service throughout. Only bad thing to say is that the venue was out of multiple whiskies that we wanted to order. Overall a five star meal.
Consistently excellent service and food. My only reason for a slightly lower score for ambience is I think the west end locations are a bit more special in terms of settings but spitalfeilds is just as nice, just a bit more casual. This branch is particularly good if visiting with a child as acces is on one level and staff are super welcoming to little ones
Great food, wine and service.
One of my favourite restaurants in London.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Hawksmoor. Our waiter was more then helpful explaining everything to us and left no stones unturned in ensuring we were clear about all the meat cuts and what would suit us.
It is not cheap but I feel the price is 100% matched by value and quality.
Will defo be back.
Great food, great service and great atmosphere.
The porterhouse was delicious beautifully rested and that delicious sear on the outside. The sides were the perfect partner to a good steak.
Also recommend the shakey Petes brew deliciously refreshing, perfect way to start a lovely meal.
Great place loved it
Very good quality food.
Staff weren’t that approachable but the food made up for it.
One of the best steaks I've ever had. Got the ribeye and my girlfriend had the fillet and they were beautiful. Will be recommending Hawksmoor to everyone!
Really great what more can I say, ate here 2 days in a row, the food was excellent the steaks were totally on point, the fillet I had was perfectly seasoned and cooked, the creamed spinach is a must. Good wine list well priced. The staff we attentive and worked hard. A great please for a business lunch.
Best meat in England. Stylish relaxed room. Friendly service. Good wine.
Such a great restaurant... I couldn't recommend it highly enough to all.
service was way to slow compare to the service in Hawksmoor Seven Dials
If I could give more stars for service, then I absolutely would. We were very well cared for and the focus was very much on us having a great meal. Fantastic service.
Brilliant service, great food, lovely evening as usual.
Our first Sunday lunch at Hawksmoor. The roast is tremendous. And credit to Hawksmoor for reminding us of a long-forgotten offer from way back, when our steaks weren't as expected (the only time that's ever happened). How many other restaurants would do that?
Very nice people, very nice steak. My ONLY complaint is that the Old Fashioned cocktails aren't the best, but they're not terrible either.
We had a very nice experience, the service was great and their advice very nice especially about thr wine recommendations.
Great night, great atmosphere, well managed around covid rules etc. Food was very good.
The best place to have consistently good food in London (especially the steak). Don't hesitate, it's the benchmark
We found it too expensive as a family , we didn't have wine and still feel is too expensive for what is it. nothing especial. I wouldn't recommend this place for family with children.
Never disappoints! Great service and food- happy to pay for such quality.
Everything was great as usual but no mash on the menu! Please bring it back!
Otherwise a wonderful evening
Everything was absolutely amazing but a little disappointed with the cheese board which was quite tasteless
