New Year Dinner
I went to Heritage on a Friday night for my anniversary. We had 6 pm reservations for 2. We got to the restaurant around 5:45, and there was no hostess at the front. We stood around for 5 minutes until someone came and seated us. Reservations clearly were not needed because the restaurant was empty. They never even asked if we had reservations. The wait staff didn’t try to explain the menu and didn’t ask if we had questions about the menu. For a place that I am paying $50 for a steak I would think the wait staff would be more attentive or trying to sell drinks or appetizers and recommend items on the menu. This place was just expensive because it’s convenient and located across from a fancy hotel (Capitol Hotel). Don’t go here for a special meal, and I am sure with an Uber ride you can get somewhere a little more special pretty inexpensive if you want a special environment.
Expected a nice Christmas buffet but it was a set menu. Not particularly notable. Waitress was good and very cheerful.
The staff was amazing. Friendly and all had smiles on their faces even on Thanksgiving evening. Thank you!

Excellent food! Depending on who you got, service was hit-or-miss. (Brenda was great...the other young lady didn't introduce herself so I don't remember her name, but walked off before completing our main course order for half the table. Had to call her back.) The atmosphere was casual and nice.
After viewing a great movie late Labor Day afternoon , my wife and I wanted to continue our holiday with a great dinner. So, we ended up at the Heritage Grill and definitely accomplished our objective. The food was superb and the wait staff very attentive. We shall soon return to this restaurant!
We decided to venture away from our planned restaurant after discovering a wait time of about an hour. I don’t regret this decision one bit. It was delicious food, the staff was amazing, and the cost was less than expected.
Poor Wine selection. Service and food was good. Its a typical hotel restaurant.
Food was great but time to deliver food was incredibly slow.
We had reservations and were seated in the back with no other customers. Not a big deal, but apparently no wait staff wax assigned for that area. Our sandwiches and salads took over half an hour and our water glasses were refilled once during our meal. Definitely not the experience we expected or experienced on previous visits.
Very average. Food not that great. Nice staff but not very attentive.
Mediocre food for the price. They changed their menu. The wings are pre baked...essentially fast food wings. Bleu cheese dressing on wedge salad tasted like mayonnaise. Such a waste for us.
The service was excellent.
We ordered Alaskan halibut with mushroom risotto
And Filet mignon with truffle fries and asparagus.
The halibut was slightly overdone but still retained flavor, the risotto was more like puffy rice and mushrooms.
I was served a bad cut of filet mignon (contained hard gristle and fat) but the tender parts were cooked ok and seasoned ok. The grilled asparagus were over cooked but flavorful.
Last but not least, the truffle fries were delicious!!!! Best we have ever had!!
Granted, we arrived 35 minutes before closing.
And again, the waitress was extremely nice and performed her duties with the experience of a 40-year service provider!
The Staff seemed like they didnt want to be there, she looked at us several times but never came over to ask if we needed any thing.
Made reservations, the bartender and waitress both observed us waiting to be seated, there were only a handful of customers there to begin with and numerous empty tables. No one ever seated us so we left. Very disappointing experience. This also reminded us of a few years back when we had a couple of drinks here on an extremely busy night and the waitress refused to return with our change, like if she made us wait long enough we would let her have a $15 tip for 2 beers. We had forgotten about that until the other night. And now we will never go back there again. 2 strikes, you're out.
Our two filets were cooked perfectly and we really enjoyed the side of mushrooms.

Food is better than average for a hotel resturant. Wine list has decent selections but is over priced, and service was unattentive, especially after telling server that we were on a schedule to make a show nearby. Took over 30 minutes to get the wine ordered and delivered to the table.
The food was mostly lovely. But the bar drinks all came out wrong or not good. Martini after 2 attempts not correct, scotch ordered meat was served with ice and a gin and tonic was served with too much ice and very flat tonic.
The Caesar salad served as big leaves of romaine lettuce with the dressing plopped on top was very difficult to eat. Basically needed to be cut up and tossed. Which was quite awkward. For the price of that salad it should not have been work for the diner.
We had a good experience. The food was not superb, but very good as was the staff. I would consider a return visit.
Started off with the line out the door. I originally didn’t have a reservation , but when the host finally showed up he said I they were only seating people that had a reservation. Literally made a reservation on open table while we were standing there and were seated right away. The place was basically empty and they were turning away business. Blew our minds. Started of with the Blackened Steak tips. Ordered them medium rare and they came out rare after the our entrees had been served. Had to ask for the bearnaise sauce that it was supposed to be served with. We both ordered the Papperdelle Luzianne. Description said it had Dijon Étouffée however it was served with over cooked noodles instead of rice. Don’t waste your time trying this place.
There was no hostess and we had to go look for someone to seat us. Our waiter never refilled our water, never asked if we wanted more wine or beer, and only brought more water after our plates were taken away. The food was good, but overpriced. Everything was a la carte and nothing special. The wedge salad for $13 was a joke with barely any dressing and it looked like it was thrown on the plate. My filet was very good, but presentation of the food was poor. A small plate with a scoop of potatoes and another plate with the steak on it. We won’t go back. For the money we paid, we have had much better food and experience elsewhere.
The food was good but not great. The fish was almost rubbery. Might try again but not a good 1st impression.

To be honest, I didn’t have high expectations for this restaurant, but it was much better than I expected. Great service given how busy it was and the filet was one of the best I’ve had. There isn’t much in the neoghborhood that’s open on a Sunday evening but even if there was, I would go back. Thank you!
I'm sure they have something good but we ordered "from the water" and a 27 dollar medium steak and it we were served a rubbery, fatty lump of meat cooked well done. We told the server that we ordered medium and her reaction made us pass on sending it back. Cant trust a server that reacts that way to my complaint. We gave steak to our dog. She loved it!
Her service was lackluster and not becoming of a place that charges so much. The front of the house didnt greet us upon entering or exiting. Not satisfied at all. We eat at table 28 often and this place made appreciate table 28 more.
The venue was nice, but the food was disappointing, especially since it was New Years Eve. I went for the special, and my husband ordered from the menu and neither one of us had a very good mean. The service was par, we think the server must of been new because anything we asked for she responded "we can't do that, that is the way it comes".
I would not recommend for food, but the Bar area was nice and fun.
We have eaten here twice and on both occasions we were left unimpressed. I think the restaurant relies on guests from the hotel as service is subpar.
Christmas buffet: Corn chowder was outstanding, but it went downhill from there. Roast turkey looked like someone had thrown the bird through a buzz saw. It was rubbery. Prime rib was tough. Sides were ok, but nothing you’d want to go back for. Desserts looked and tasted like they were purchased from Sam’s.
We did not expect a buffet for the Christmas meal but that is what we got. The food was pretty much what you would expect. There was no separate gravy available so the dressing and mashed potatoes had to be eaten somewhat dry. A little of the water the turkey was soaking in did not serve well as a gravy. I would swear there was sliced/canned turkey mixed in with the real turkey. The green bean casserole had so much dressing in it it was like two dressings and the beans were whole...and some were several inches long which made them difficult to position on one plate. The seafood terrines tasted more like a tuna pate and were quite dull. The cranberries were heavily spiced and almost shocking to the taste buds. The dessert table was voluminous in size and choices. Luke warm rolls and frozen butter pats do not work well together. I do not envision us ever going back for a Christmas meal.
The atmosphere was great for a lunch where we did not feel rushed and conversation was enjoyed due to the quiet surroundings.
We will return. I have already recommended this restaurant to 3 people since eating there
My rating is based on our Thanksgiving Day experience. The Thanksgiving Day Buffet was excellent, especially the desserts. The service was outstanding. All employees that we encountered were friendly and in the holiday spirit. The atmosphere and holiday décor were amazing including the ice sculpture and pumpkin arrangements. We loved that we could walk outside and take our selfies with the beautifully decorated trees. The entire experience was First Class!
We had dinner at the Heritage before a concert; we were staying in the hotel. We found the food delicious, the service excellent, and the atmosphere relaxing. Nicolette was our server and she was awesome!
I was seated and told there was a buffet. I had to go to the bar to get water. Once I stood up to leave they rushed over with the check. The manager sat on a bar stool and made no effort to help a waitress that was overwhelmed. He just talked with a friend. They both had name tags and made comments as the service people went by. He obviously does not know how a team works.
I tipped the waitress but the manager should be fired.
