High Road Brasserie
Food was ok, could have been hotter.
Fresh mint tea was fine.
Service was passable
Waitress insisted on calling us “darling” throughout the meal, which I found very unprofessional. She then overcharged us at the end of the meal.
Food was okay. I didn’t finish my starter as is was flavourless, main was quite nice.
We were asked to leave the table ahead of the hour and a half allocated (this is understandable, but I think a more professional way of dealing with this would be to present the bill and allow guest to leave naturally in the first instance).
Great restaurant, but the service was really disappointing.
Unlikely to return in a hurry, which is a shame as it’s local and would be a perfect “regular” spot for us.
Well the date wasn’t so good, but the food made up for that :) we had rib eye steak cooked to perfection, with a side of truffle fries and spinach. A solid meal, but everyone else’s food looked great too. The service is also great with friendly staff.
Great service and drinks.
Steak wasn’t cooked as requested however didn’t raise this with the establishment. Will do next time if repeated.
Good atmosphere with a varied menu choice which can cater for those with dietary requirements. Overall a nice place to eat in Chiswick
Love the High Road Brasserie on Sundays and Mondays when locals with the special key ring can get 50% off the total menu. Normally it's a bit high priced for me, but it's a great bargain with that deal! The food is consistenly very good, and the service usually is too (although I've had one, horrific, inattentive waiter there in the past). My only complaint is that it's INCREDIBLY noisy, so difficult to hear each other - I wouldn't go here if you wanted to have any sort of serious or important conversations. They just need a few rugs/curtains/pillows, or other sort of soft furnishings to absorb the sound and it would be great! All in all though, I do like it and recommend it!
I love the HRB, and this trip lived up to previous expectations. The host on duty was attentive and friendly, and allowed us to decorate the table for a Birthday. The food was lovely and out quickly.
We had a lovely roast beef dinner excellent service.
We were served near raw vegetables with our Sunday roast. Upon alerting the waitress, we were made to feel that we were causing a nuisance by requesting something edible. The manager advised that he would get a replacement which never arrived. We alerted the waitress who simply acknowledged. We received no discount on our bill or any apology. Service here is always hit and miss and is the food. It really is a shame.
We put at a table beside door to bathroom even though I’d asked for a table by the window -which felt like the worst seat in the restaurant even though the restaurant was not full. I ordered the steak off the grill menu and was told it came with chips. My friend ordered the chicken off the grill menu and was told that didn’t come with chips! This makes no sense! Both items were from the section called Grill and there was no mention of the items coming with anything. To be consistent avoiding all items in this section either come with chips or come without? Not a great experience for a soho house restaurant!
The service was terrible, all the waiting staff repeatedly ignored us even though it was very quiet when we first arrived at 12pm. When we complained about our salad’s being freezing cold, the waitress didn’t apologise at all, and just said that ‘they were following safely guidelines’ and all food had to be stored in the fridge until the last moment. You aren’t usually served near frozen beetroot at a restaurant!
Monday nights are busy and noisy but great value if you're a Brasserie Friend. The food is great, although I think the salads need to be looked at again. The once delicious Nicoise salad is now tinned tuna and a pile of lettuce and my friend's chicken, bacon, avo salad looked pretty unappetising, better stick to the Brasserie classics I think. But still can't be beaten for value on a Monday night if you don't mind the noise and crowds.
Fab brunch, great atmosphere, yummy food and very good service. Very family friendly and accommodating for our one year old. Love it here.
Service started horrendously;
Had to find my own seat
Had to collect my own menus
Had to ask to order food
Food was good
Nice layout. Very busy (and noisy) on a Sunday lunch time . Staff were all very nice. Food was good but didn’t impress us.
Great food! What you expect from Soho House
We were quite disappointed to see that the Brasserie is doing Brunch until 17h00 on Saturday. We were not expected that as we wanted a proper Brasserie menu.
It is not clear anywhere that the Brasserie only does brunch until 17h00.
My favourite brunch spot! Would recommend everyone to dine here. Everything from the food, to the service was amazing as always.
Excellent burgers! Thanks
We enjoy meeting up for lunch on a Monday about once a month
Excellent second time will come back again!
I love this place but the food was very poor on Saturday
The food is very nice when it comes but I would not come here on a Saturday lunchtime again as it was so loud and crowded and not enough staff.
Food was fantastic and atmosphere was great. Only downfall was our table that we were given firstly then we asked to move as it was too close to the service booth. Overall great experience
great brasserie with all the right menu options 20 mins from Heathrow
Enjoyed Friends evening dining but I cannot think of paying double of what we paid any other time for what we had. Service is still excellent!
Overpriced for an average food.
Disappointing. The City barge in Chiswick is a far better proposition in terms of food and wine.
Service was very slow and inattentive. Food was good but not amazing. Fortunately there are not many competitors in the area but I think you could better.
Disappointing for one of my favourite places. The waitress couldn’t hear our order due to the volume, breakfast arrived without butter for toast, staff generally inattentive. On the positive side the volume was quickly rectified on request.
It’s been a while since we had been here but came for my husband’s birthday. The food was very nice but my biggest praise goes for the service. Excellent staff and most impressed that their answer to my food allergy was for the chef to attend our table and choose a meal I could eat with me. What a fantastic approach. So different to the ‘scared of being sued’ approach that makes so many eateries and restaurants unhelpful theses days for those with a food allergy. Very impressed.
The portion was minuscule and the price very high. Tasted great.
On arrival, the waitress said there was no record of my booking although sat my friend with the same booking on another table! they were lots of waiters and waitresses but we had to ask regularly for attention to order, basic elements like topping up water, sauces etc. They served my drink incorrectly. The food was excellent but the whole experience was let down by absolutely shambolic and chaotic service levels.
Um, wouldn’t rush back. Expected the Brasserie to be top notch - it wasn’t. Food ok, too many tables packed in too closely and nowhere to sit at the bar whilst we waited for our table to be ready (we had booked), not a good start. Staff seemed overwhelmed, bills sent to wrong tables, not welcomed when we came in. Worst of all our waitress was RUDE and snappy. I ordered a dish (on the ordinary menu) and she didn’t even look up from her pad when she said, “you can’t, we don’t have it”. I asked her not to snap at me and I think she realised she had overstepped the mark. Still, not a pleasant experience. We had dinner and left without dessert or coffee in case we got snapped at again! Would have stayed longer usually.
Favourite place to eat, catch up with friends and family and relax in Chiswick. Food quality has always been excellent.
Lovely menu, oarticularly good for a weekend brunch. Staff are extremely attentive but not intrusive. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Can be a little noisy but this us just a symptom of its popularity. Best to book, especially Sat and Sun mornings.
Great food and service as always
Went for my sisters 31st birthday and was brilliant. Food was wonderful and service made us all feel wonderful. Definitely recommend for special occasions.
Local favourite. Always think I will try something different but tend to end up having the steak or the mussels as they are both excellent. Cocktails are good here too.
The food was average at best. Our English breakfast was cold and our pancake was luke watm.
Great meal although my sons shared the rib of beef and it was rather chewy with large strands of sinew that was too hard to cut. The Parmesan truffle chips were delicious!
Lovely Sunday brunch.
Staff helpful and friendly.
Food lovely and fresh.
Nice fresh juice
Able to relax, did not feel rushed when finished to leave.
Would absolutely return
