Excellent food and service, all within a comfortable (outdoor heaters were effective) and clean setting.
Ideal for lunch in all weathers, with good ingredients expertly prepared
Business dinner with a colleague / friend conducted in HRH's very atmopheric bar / brasserie. As ever, great service provided a great Team and led by very engaging Managers - Asta and Bence
We had a really gorgeous lunch and the service was amazing! Thank you so much!
Sadly breakfast is always tepid rather than hot. Tried so many times each time hopeful. Must be down to how orders are processed in the kitchen.
Convenient location to have breakfast in Chiswick. Well organised to handle the constraints imposed by Covid-19, delivering tasty food with great customer service.
Went for my 24th birthday, and they demanded IDs for all of us. Asked for a rare steak, it came medium. Service was poor and food was average.
Service levels improved possibly because of restrictions on customer numbers but really enjoyable and good portions as well
Well it was a joy to be back amongst the lovely staff at High Road Brasserie they have an uncanny knack of making you feel like you are at home with old and dear friends who also happen to want to attend your every whim
Really poor service - waited 35 minutes and had to get up and ask for someone to lay the table and take a drinks order
The food was so tasty and the drinks were excellent. However, the steak was a little bit cold. Had a great evening here and will definitely come back
Excellent lunch sitting warmly and safely under the outside awning under the heaters. Great service, good food and wine and the perfect place to dine during this Covid crisis. That's why we are returning again next Wednesday.
Always enjoy coming here, consistently good to excellent, the double baked cheese souffles should be a permanent fixture on the menu.
Last supper out before lockdown 2. buzzy as ever. Lovely Italian waiter looked after us splendidly. Will keep us going until they let us out again!
Had a lovely dinner just before lockdown - lovely last meal out!
I have now visited this restaurant numerous times and once again I had a lovely experience. I was left waiting, for nearly an hour, for my friend to arrive but I was not made to feel like I was in the way or rushed. Megan again someone who I have mentioned in a previous review came out and said hello and was her usual professional and lovely self. That is not to take away from the other wonderful friendly staff who looked after us whilst we were sat outside. The only criticism I would have is that I ordered the goats cheese and beetroot salad, which was delicious, but there was only a very small piece of goats cheese on burnt toast. I should have mentioned it at the time but I was having a lovely time. I will be returning after lockdown and I look forward to seeing the lovely Megan again and all the other wonderful staff. I will mention next time the tiny amount of goats cheese, if it happens again. Pls visit as vital to support local restaurants.
Wonderful lunchtime venue for winter outdoor eating.
We enjoyed a delicious three course lunch with wines, in an attractive outdoor setting under awnings with heaters above us. We felt very cosy and even discarded our coats on this wintery day. We also felt safe under the covid rules as the waiters all wore masks, the menu could be downloaded via an app on our phones and we were far enough away from other customers.
Wonderful experience from arrival to departure; lovely staff, lovely food. Thanks !
Love this place! Very accommodating to our dietary needs and menu changes ❤️ Best of all - their amazing meat quality! Which is grass fed goodness. Super important to our family as we are what we eat 🥰🥩
Ate here with an American friend. He eats burgers a lot and loved the house cheeseburger. My rib eye was also very good. New on the menu were chilli salt prawns. Good with the chilli salt but the quality of the prawns themselves stood out. Best ive had for ages. Artichoke dip is good. Staff were good as usual. Good dinner !
Food & service standards have slipped. Would think twice about going back. Used to be a reliable restaurant
There was heavy smoked fish smell inside. Service was quick however, attitute of the welcoming staff was too commercial.
Lovely evening, the live band created a great atmosphere. Food was impeccable. Being situated next to the waiters terminal meant waiters were literally right next to our table for most of the night. Im talking like 10cm away from our table. This was the only downside however.
We had a very nice meal and staff were very friendly
Deservedly very popular restaurant in a busy, central location. Good food is served in generous helpings and the service is attentive, obliging and efficient. All folk are welcome, be it just for drinks or for a full meal. It is fun to sit outside in the covered area partioned off from the pavement. The ambiance is happy and interesting, everybody clearly enjoying their dining experience. Well worth a visit!
Good food, and location of table outdoors and in corner spot.
However we had very rude service towards the last 45minutes trying to usher us away and removing uneaten food prematurely from the table!
Very disappointed by the approach of the staff, especially at the door.
It was two days before the London ban on mixing households in pubs and restaurants.
Table for 6 booked at 6,15. First two of the Group turn up at 6,10 and in a very blunt way we were told that we had to free up the table within 2 hours. I know that this is a standard policy but what a welcome!
Food was good as always (stunning their steak tartare)
At 7,50 we were reminded that we soon had to leave. At that point we had pretty much finished dinner but still having wine on the table.
At 8 we were handed the bill (we hadn’t asked yet) and told that we had to leave because there were people waiting outside for their table.
We left the restaurant at 8.10 (so less than 2 hours) but nobody was queueing or indeed waiting outside.
Great way to treat your customers (who had just spent over £400)!!!
Ideal for brunch and lunch. Good standard of cooking and portion size, and reliably good service.
There outside table under the heater is perfect for the situation right now. Meal is reasonably priced. A nice place to enjoy a dinner with friend.
Best Escargots in London. Reasonable price. Good service and delicious food. Definitely revisit again.
We had a delicious lunch to celebrate my husband's birthday. We sat socially distanced outside with electric heaters shining down on us and felt very cosy without our coats. At the end of the meal the waiter even presented my husband with a birthday caramel flan slice with cream and fruit on a decorated plate which wished him a happy birthday. We will DEFINITELY return.
Spoilt for choice at breakfast. Highly recommend the vegetarian Half English breakfast which is huge and delicious.
If you are looking for a relaxed, welcoming restaurant with great service and good food then look no further this is one of my favourite places in London.
Have been to the Brasserie before and was really impressed however I visited on Sunday 12 October and my experience was very different. I ordered the bavette steak (and my friends had the cheeseburgers which they said were really good). Firstly, it took the best part of an hour for our food to arrive. The waitress did apologise and it would have been fine but when my steak arrived it had clearly been sat out for a while and was so chewy I actually couldn't eat it. I know some cuts of meat are particularly fatty but this was tough and quite difficult to chew. Probably should have complained but no one asked how it was and I didn't want to wait an hour for another one. They didn't say anything when they cleared the plates and I hadn't eaten it either. They did bring my friend some chocolates for her birthday which was redeeming but I would have expected better service/a free drink or something given the time it took for our food to arrive. Wouldn't bring my friends here again, was a bit embarrassed that it was my suggestion tbh.
Really enjoyed our girl's lunch on Sunday. Our waiter was friendly and helpful, giving us advice on what was good. Food came quickly and was delicious. We were there for about 4 hours and were not bothered or pestered to order anything more. Strongly recommend!
Not great service from one particular server who was in nutty and therefore senior. Just a nod to Covid protection. He had mask around under his nose, no gloves, saw 0 cleaning front door handle in the two hours I was there. Tables were close together. Topped off with the same guy handing my male colleague the bill (it was my birthday treat) and taking my card from me to put in the machine (not necessary)Food was good though and other waiters were great.
Staff were lovely and the breakfast cocktail was delicious. But the food was pretty average for the price. Very vinegary/lemon eggs benedict and the avocado in toast was also very lemony.
Great ambience and service, eggs were very poor quality though - very small and cheap looking - not what i had last time. Might have been a one off?
Felt pressured for time and therefore only had 2 courses, left out coffees, desert and another bottle of wine.
Apart from that all was fab.
It’s was my birthday it was spoilt because it was so cold in there
