The main dining room, complete with a baby grand piano, is overlooked by Charming Baker’s ‘Faith’s Leap’ and the walls of the striking open-plan kitchen are built with the Himalayan salt bricks that are used to age our beef.

Downstairs, Mark’s Bar is a hidden gem featuring an impressive sunken bar with cinema-style bar seating and a cocktail list championing British libations.

Great food and drinks. This restaurant is locatedvin a great location and has lovely decor. Would recommend to my friends.
Although we were slightly delayed for our meal, this was no problem for the very welcoming sirloin was one of the best I've ever eaten. All the accompaniments were spot on. Daughter & son in law had variations of burger, which they enjoyed. Drinks - cocktails, wine, beer - all very good. Time ran out before we could have dessert - but next time, we will. I've even made the soup from the chicken carcass & meat I took away, with Hix recipe.
I’ve been here 3 times and it was lovely as per usual. If you’re getting the roast I’d recommend the beef. You won’t regret it!
A great spot in Bankside, a little off the beaten track. Bar downstairs is a nice spot although we did end up damaging a very fragile sofa (the furniture is quite distressed). Food was very good and service was friendly and efficient.
I think the brunch offer is good value. Though me and my partner were a bit underwhelmed by the food itself. While not bad, there was nothing outstanding. Comparable to standard wanna be gastro pub fare. Service was great. They really made an effort with my friend's stroppy child who spent most of the meal sat under the table. Would be in no rush to go back as I think there are better options available in London.
cold meatballs. service not attentive. the restaurant should be called "hit and miss".
Incredible steak, phenomenal chips, best table service ever and a really good ambiance.
Excellent food, atmosphere, and most of all, service. The staff at Hixster are always wonderful.
Have visited several times now. Always great food and service.
service was very slow on a quiet evening - we arrived at 1800 and probably waited 20 mins for drinks, followed by having to ask someone to take our food order.
I came here with work colleagues, overall selection was good, catered well for vegetatians or vegans. Food came in a timely manner and overall everyone was more than satisfied. Recommended to another colleague who is looking to book a place for lunch.
Food was Very good, but service felt very rushed. We were asked if we wanted water by three different waiters. Staff generally gave the impression that they wanted us in and out as quickly as possible. Wine is overpriced.
Great staff, good food.
Superb meal - veal chops and steak particularly good
A whole chicken beautifully roasted with stuffing chips and gravy all superb and carved up table side it's a must
Again another visit and was not disappointed, we were a party of four and no complaints, food and service up to standard and more.
However it was a little noisy for two of us who wore hearing aids!
Excellent food, team were very attentive had a wonderful lunch
Fab food and most excellent service from all the staff from the moment we walked in to when we left. We felt like royalty.
I love going to this restaurant, it never fails on their quantity steaks and the service is second to none! will be going back soon
Absolutely delicious food & very reasonable. Good ambiance & service.
Great food for both grown ups and kids. Really welcoming.
Slow service, slight over priced. The ‘bottomless’ deal is managed carefully by waiting staff so it’s not such a deal.
Great food, staff were very friendly and kept us topped up with the boozy brunch. Highly recommend!
Good food, nice place and perfect resto with kids.
Great night out at this modern and friendly restaurant. We started with some cool cocktails downstairs in the bar. The barman was super helpful. We were taken upstairs to a well lit table and the waiting staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was delicious and next time will be staying for desert.
Came for a girls bottomless Prosecco brunch and we were not disappointed! Our glasses were constantly topped up, staff were super helpful in providing information on the menu and very welcoming. Finally, the food was outstanding! Highly recommend!
Loved the salt & vinegar onion rings, would go back for those alone.
Food and presentation was amazing! Indian chicken was so good!
Great place with wonderful welcome. Food was really fantastic: myso cod to try. Just a bit cold for air conditioning too strong
Simple, flavourful menu. Hearty, fresh and well cooked. A good informal business lunch destination.
We had a really excellent Sunday lunch. Everything about Hixter was top notch though young children should please be asked not to play on the piano - it added an unpleasant dimension to an already high noise level.
We went there with 2 kids and enjoyed food, service and ambience very much. The kids were busy with drawing and riddleling and very happy. So were the parents. Delicious food.
Booked at the last minute and were not disappointed at the experience, met with a welcoming smile and shown to our table, to our surprise we were served with a welcoming cocktail which was superb.
We ordered a simple meal from the menu; calamari to start, for main an unbelievable chicken curry and desert was a homemade vanilla ice cream, delicious!
All washed down with a bottle of Argentinian Malbec, highly recommended.
Masimo, our waiter was very attentive and was charming and gave advice when needed, must admit we heeded his advice which proved to be invaluable.
Very good if you want meat and a casual atmosphere... Not very good if you want serving spoons.
I decided to come here for an anniversary dinner and heard the roast was ment to be good. As it turned out it was brilliant. Lots of meat and well worth the money. The staff were great and Mariusz surprised us with an extra little something for the occasion. Very happy and I would definitely recommend going.
Sorry to say but we where recommended this by a couple and it turned to out to less than satisfying. The cut of meat left a lot to imagination, though the staff did apologise and instead of the roast gave a myself stake(marginally better).
Was great. They were so busy took ages to get the bill but otherwise all good
As expected with all Hix Restaurants, good food, excellent service and a great space. Our table was very early on a Friday night and there was only three or four other tables occupied which, in such a large space, doesn't provide the best ambience or atmosphere. However, when full (as it was to be later that evening) I can see it being a buzzy atmosphere.
The attention and engagement from the waiting and wine staff was pitched just right and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The miso-baked cod was a real highlight, cooked perfectly and utterly delicious. The truffle chips were so more-ish! Well worth a visit.
This place never fails to deliver. Great food, fantastic service and a really good ambience. My friends loved the place, and we will definitely be back again soon. Thanks as always
Venue aesthetic is pleasing, and the staff were friendly enough, but the quality of the food just wasn't up to the price, and the whole place was rather too loud. We should have spent another 20 quid a head and gone to Hawksmoor instead.
