Honey at Hotel Gotham Ratings and Reviews
We found Gotham, probably two years ago, because we were tired of some of the main restaurants in Manchester. So, we decided to start visiting some of the more refined hotel restaurants. The hotel staff are very gracious and the view from the restaurant is spectacular.
The food is amazingly good and the restaurant staff always courteous and charming.
Hotel Gotham is so unique. The decor is beautiful and everything is finished to such a high standard. The Honey restaurant was quirky and the waiting staff were polite and attentive. The food was delicate and delicious and I would return for afternoon tea literally any day of the week! The views across the city were spectacular and Club Brass is the most perfect little place to grab a drink and enjoy the city skyline.
I booked a table for afternoon tea as a surprise for my girlfriends birthday. The look on her face said it all when we arrived at her surprise destination. We had our window with a view as requested and a complimentary glass of prosecco was a lovely touch. Our table was in a cosy corner, service was excellent and the menu was well explained to us. The sandwiches and cakes were devine. I would of liked more of a balance of sandwiches and less cakes and my girlfriend wanted less sandwiches and more cakes. We felt so relaxed we decided to stay a little longer and have an extra glass of fizz and take in the surroundings. We will definetly be coming back again.
This was part of a retirement gift from our children. From the reception on the ground floor to arriving in the lift on the 6th floor, it had a very quirky feel. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would recommend it for any special occasion! The food was unusual and delicious!
We booked the afternoon tea for our anniveresy and from the moment we walked in all the hotel gotham staff made us feel like it was a special place. From the gentlemen at the doors downstairs (cheeky chaps), the lovely greeter lady who was informative about the menu and gave us a 5 star service, to the gentlemen at the end who was telling s about the amazing piano and food menu. The decor is mind blowing and makes you feel like your in the 1930s. it was a amazing experience from start to finish and we will going back again i'm sure.
I booked in to the restaurant, mainly for practicality, as I was a guest at the hotel, and due to my schedule I was dining later than usual. I didn't regret my decision to dine at Honey. It is a fantastic restaurant.... The venue, the helpful staff, wonderful cuisine: All aspects of the place are aligned with the quality and prestige of the rest of the Gotham.
My husband and I really enjoyed our meal. The service was really good, the food was beautiful. The waiter who served us explained each dish to us telling us what was on our plates, which I thought was a lovely touch. The only thing I was really disappointed with was the bar! You can't drink in there if you're not a resident of the hotel, this is one thing I think should change. When you are spending over £100 on a meal you would expect to be allowed in the bar!
Fantastic ambiance, the art deco styled semicircular windows providing excellent views over the surrounding cityscape. Good food as well, with an impressive wine selection. Most notable of all the details that help shape the experience is the jazz music provided via an acoustic grand piano with a player/pianola mechanism installed. I'll definitely be looking for an excuse to go back again.
I booked a table at Honey for my boyfriends birthday and it was absolutely fantastic.
We both had a steak and I think it might be the best I've ever had! The puddings are also totally different to anywhere else I've been.
The service was brilliant and Jake just couldn't do enough for all of the customers.
I'll definitely be going back and would highly recommend to all!
We had a fantastic meal, our waitress was helpful and came and checked on us regularly. The food was of a very high standard and there was a lovely atmosphere. The restaurant wasn't very busy which surprised us as the standard was so good. The only disappointing aspect was that we couldn't access the bar after our meal as it was only for residents of the hotel or members. I felt this was a bit poor as we had been in the restaurant approx. a couple of hours and spent over £150.
